Starting Thursday in the U.S., by using BitPay, the world’s leading bitcoin payment processor, you can trade-in bitcoin – at current market value — and add it to your Microsoft account. Those funds can then be used to purchase content in the Windows Store, or in stores that house Xbox Games, Xbox Music or Xbox Video.
Claiming to be an easy to use, goal-oriented investing platform that allows users access their investments anytime, anywhere using the mobile app, DriveWealth has partnered with leading Bitcoin payment processor BitPay. In the announcement the company says that it wants to bring its customers the ability to fund their accounts with Bitcoin.
Finance is another area where I see exciting opportunities. Indiegogo, a crowdfunding platform, allows entrepreneurs better and cheaper access to the seed financing they need to get their business up and running. Similarly, Bitcoin is creating an entirely new form of currency. I was happy to see PayPal announce they will integrate BitPay into their website, and we are also accepting Bitcoin on Virgin Galactic.

Earlier today, the Bitcoin news website Coindesk reported that BitPay is adding 1,000 new merchants per week, within an article highlighting the fact that private jet company PrivateFly had just teamed up with the payment processor to accept BTC for its charter flights.
Through a partnership with Bitcoin payment processor BitPay Inc., Gyft now accepts bitcoins for its mobile gift card product. This extends the virtual currency's reach to more than 50,000 retail locations.
"The biggest issue with Bitcoin to date is: Where do you spend these bitcoins?" says Vinny Lingham, CEO of Gyft.
With its approximately 200 retailer relationships, including Burger King, Lowes, American Eagle and Nike, Gyft gives Bitcoin users more options. Gyft supports Bitcoin purchases only on the Android platform.
