Also I just gotta say, Cristin Milioti (Sofia) was hands down the star of the show. If this was called “The Hangman” instead of “The Penguin” I wouldn’t bat an eye. Collin and Rhenzy did great to, but it’s no contest tbh.

Every time she was on screen I was so captivated; between chilling, angry, soft it didn’t matter. Sofia was so unapologetically Weird(affectionate) and I loved every second of it. She slayed in every outfit, even when she was alone (gotta dress to impress #1) and I really hope she at leeaast cameos in Batman2

A lot of people upset about the finale of The Penguin (rightfully so) but I’m seeing a lot of them saying “I can’t believe he would do that” and like…

You can’t? Really? Of all the things we’ve experienced in these 8 episodes, that’s the thing that’s “too far” for Oswald?

It feels very wrong. Other people have talked about how they had to “show how dangerous thordak is” as if the audience is too dumb to realize how dangerous a roided out ancient is 😒 I truly genuinely wholly hate the “dies for shock value” trope and if he doesn’t come back I might be done after s3. I’m not about to do another GoT, where no one is safe.

I have faith in the CR team, and maybe it’s denial, but I really doubt that they’d change a fan favorite characters story from “lived happily ever after” to “dies for shock value.”

But we’ll see I guess.

I assume it was intentional, but I liked that in ep3 Oz tells Vic to take up space and make people acknowledge you and such, then in ep4 at the dinner Sofia is being unapologetically loud and taking up space and attention.

It’s a nice touch that all 3 of these characters are connected. Even if they’ll eventually be enemies

VM balking Raishan at every given moment feels a little foolish imo.

I know. Big evil dragon, killed a bunch of people. But since they’ve been working together, she’s been nothing but truthful and they’re still like “NO! We’re done with you Raishan!” 🙄 Oookay, turn away your most powerful ally against a demigod; seems reasonable

“Anti” culture is a fkn plague.

Just recently got into Lore Olympus, loved it enough to read the whole thing, then went to check the tag on here and.. like. Almost all of it is these fkn sad Anti’s.

And this goes for any fandom; you hate something SO much that you dedicate a huge chunk of your life and a whole blog to hating this thing. Not like “I hate oppression and something needs done about it” but fukn “I hate this WEBTOON and I’m gonna bitch about it constantly”! Like?? Okay?? Then don’t read it?? Go do something you LIKE; why have you dedicated part of your life to hating something when you could be doing something you enjoy instead?

Damsel (Netflix)

Just watched Damsel on Netflix and y’all, I cannot say the amount of instant disgust I was about to feel when I thought the dragon was dead. I’m sittin here like “what a shit ending to the story tho!” BUT! They didn’t go there and I’m pleasantly surprised 😁

Alastor’s bit in the radio tower is intriguing. Obviously they’re going to explain it eventually in s2, but it’s hard to tell whether he’s magically compelled to help Charlie, or if he starting to care and is in denial about it (not to make him out to be a poor-little-meow by any means)

Like. He has feelings; we see that with nifty mimsy and Rosie. So he’s not INCAPABLE of caring about people. Just interested to see what comes of it all.

(I have a lot of other feelings about ep7-8 (I called both that him and Charlie would make a deal, and that SP would be the first to ascend), but there’s enough people ranting on the internet already lol)

Emily is a fukn gem. AngelDust being a good person and going so far as to stand up to Val? Screaming. Charlie and Emily’s duet? Immaculate. Vaggies backstory? Predictable, yet still shocking nonetheless (her scream in the flashback tho, fukn Stephanie B!)
