I’m not big on watching people open packs, but saying this is probably one of the top pack (well, Alpha Starter) openings of the past decade is not an exaggeration. Honestly, just watch the next thirty seconds and you’ll understand. Literally (not literally) a car in a booster.
A lot of people are reblogging this with cost estimates on the cards, and most I’m seeing are possible undervaluations (crazy, right?).
That Black Lotus is pack fresh, NM, and looked to have very good centering. It has the dots on the border on the bottom left and bottom right, but so does the BGS 9.5 Black Lotus that sold for $27,300.
NM Alpha Tropical Islands I’ve seen upwards of $2,000 on the high end Facebook group, and once again his is pack fresh NM.
Depending on if he can find a buyer, and what grades he ends up with from BGS, we could be talking $30,000 nice. That’s new Chevy Camaro or Volkswage GTI amounts of nice.
i just love this little clip from this video. the fact that he pulled the holy grail of MTG and that hes just so happy (and for a very good reason, as seen in the comment above) just makes me grin for him.
the gloves, his hands shaking, and his excitement are not exaggerations; this guy literally pulled the most expensive card in the game (again, as stated above, possibly worth as much as a camero)
