Soccer Vibrancy (by tsevis) A colorful neo-futuristic experimental illustration showing a football (soccer) player. Inspired by the famous Portuguese pavement wave pattern at Copacabana beach. Trying to express the atmosphere and the vibes of a Brazilian soccer game. Probably during the World Cup or the upcoming Rio 2016 Olympics. This is a vector illustration. Here you can see a bitmap version of it. Best viewed large. Attention: Big file. (11275 x 11311 = 37.6" x 37.7" @ 300 ppi) Made with custom developed scripts, hacks and lots of love, using my Mac, Studio Artist, the Adobe Creative Suite and good Bossa Nova music. I love all Brazilian music but I can't never surpass the sad melodies of the 60s. Partially based on a photo by Efecreata Mediagroup (Shutterstock). See all my Neofuturistic Illustrations.

Fail and celebrate! (by tsevis)
Some weeks ago a respected European newspaper commissioned me to create an illustration for a front page article about failure. The brief was asking for a happy joyful version of failure featuring fireworks and rockets like the ones we use on new years eve. I really liked this project and this is what I have created. Unfortunately the editors decided to go with another option. So this was my last failure for 2013. Joyful, colorful even if there is always a bitter taste when your work is rejected. But I have learned to love my failures. These are making me stronger and wiser. Happy new year everyone! Best viewed large. Attention: Big file. (12420 x 16304 pixels = 41.4" x 54.3" @ 300 ppi) Alternately you can zoom in to the high res (202 megapixels) file with Microsoft ZoomIt. Made with custom developed scripts, hacks and lots of love, using my Mac, Studio Artist, the Adobe Creative Suite and good music. See all my Editorial Illustrations. Many thanks to my clients for our successes and our failures.
Marissa Mayer: God, Family and Yahoo! (by tsevis)
A neofuturistic portrait of Marissa Mayer. Yahoo! is a real internet legend. For an early Internet user like me Yahoo! was the internet. I still remember 18 years ago when I was opening the Yahoo! frond page to find something interesting. Sometime I had to wait so much for the page to load that I was leaving my Mac to go and prepare a coffee. Since the 90s a lot of time passed and nothing is the same. Yahoo! is still one of the Internet leaders but everything else changed. I have also changed. I don't think I could expect back then that I would collaborate with Yahoo! to create graphics for the coverage of the London 2012 Olympics. I couldn't imagine when I was opening my Flickr account in the early 00s that today our beloved Flickr would be plenty of avatars that I have designed. I wanted to celebrate this collaboration with Yahoo!. I wanted to make something outside any professional collaboration. So I have decided to create this portrait of CEO Marissa Mayer in a colorful neo-futuristic style. Best viewed large. Attention: Big file. (9216 x 11578 pixels = 30.7" x 38.6" @ 300 ppi) Alternately you can zoom in to the high res (107 megapixels) file with Microsoft ZoomIt. Made with custom developed scripts, hacks and lots of love, using my Mac, Studio Artist, the Adobe Creative Suite and good music. Paul Caridad Sanchez: A colorful portrait for a colorful person (by tsevis)
Paul is one of the brightest persons I met online. Adventurous, friendly, kind, unstoppable, colorful. I wanted to create a portrait inspired of my neo-futurism studies but changing the aggressive strait lines and the polygons to curves and organic shapes. I think that these forms express Paul's world better.
Best viewed large. Attention: Big file. (8000 x 8000 pixels = 39.3" x 27.3" @ 300 ppi)
Alternately you can zoom in to the high res (64 megapixels) file with Microsoft ZoomIt.
Made with Synthetik StudioArtist, Adobe Creative Suite, nice latin music and lots of tea...
