There’s a beat of weird, echoey silence and then Eddie tilts his head, annoyed, and says, “What the fuck do you mean you’ve already done this twice? We only fought It once when we were kids.” Richie barks a short, deranged laugh. Good for you, Eds, you know how to count! Congratulations on passing kindergarten math! “Well I,” he starts, dragging out the I into several syllables and poking a finger into his own chest, “am in some sort of fucking time loop, that—that, fucking, ugh!” He lets out a shout of rage and does a little shake instead of punching the ugly wallpaper. He feels possessed, or insane. The others look at him in a way that very much communicates they share that sentiment. “I don’t know!” he admits, throwing his arms up in the air to indicate as much. “I don’t know. Two days ago it was today and yesterday it was today but now today it’s today and I don’t know what the fuck is going on but I don’t wanna do it anymore, I—I don’t wanna do it! I’m not gonna do it!” Oh, yeah. Richie’s handling this great.
