since pearl is always helping trucy with her magic shows, trucy decides to help pearl with her spirit medium training, too. its… not quite what she expected, but she’s going to try her best!!! [bg ref]

Trupearl Week Day 2: Magic/Spirits

For @trupearlweek again! I chose the spirits topic for this one. Trucy needed answers about her mom. She… had her suspicions about what really happened, but she needed to know for sure. So, she asked Pearl to channel Thalassa for her. She just… needed to see her. She wanted to be wrong, she had to be wrong. 

Pearl agrees. They get everything ready. They go into the channeling chamber, get the candles, and Pearl calls Thalassa. Nothing. Trucy’s heart drops. Pearl frantically starts making excuses. Maybe she just made a mistake, today is just a bad day, she hasn’t been training in awhile. But she knows the real reason why she can’t be called, and Trucy does too. Her mom never died.

Trucy breaks down. She always holds in her emotions, but they all just explode, and she can’t calm down. Pearl panics, and she tries calming her down. Trucy practically jumps into her arms and sobs into her shoulder. Pearl doesn’t mind. After awhile she finally calms down, and apologies. Pearl just smiles and kisses her on the cheek, telling her it’s alright, and that she’ll always be there for her.
