Today is the fourth day of Trupearl week! Today’s theme is Performance/Birthday!
Some of our suggested prompts for today are: A performance at the wonder bar, or a little puppet show for friends, or a school band practise! Maybe Pearl is helping Trucy with her stage jitters - or maybe it’s the other way around! It could be one of the girls’ birthdays - maybe one of them throws the other a surprise party, or makes a super special homemade gift! Maybe it’s someone else’s birthday (someone at the WAA, or from the Fey clan) and they got to dress up or are picking out gifts together or helping decorate or eating a cake!
Today is also @maya-fey‘s birthday, so give them a big shout-out if you post something for today, please! n__n 💗

“You guys haven’t told Mr. Wright!?”
I can’t blame Athena for being surprised. Pearly and I have told almost everyone. Athena knows, Maya knows, Apollo knows, even Edgeworth and Klavier know about it. I never told Daddy though.
“No,” clarified Pearly, sinking into the couch and biting her nail “we haven’t told Mr. Nick. Trucy doesn’t want to…”
“Is it because he was so anxious over what happened with Ben?” asked Athena. I winced a little hearing that name. I want to forgive Ben for what he did, but I still have trouble looking past him breaking my heart like that…
“K-kinda.” I replied.
“I think he’ll be fine,” Athena said, “besides, he knows and trusts Pearly! Wouldn’t he be excited to hear about you two dating?”
“I thought about that but…” To be honest, I don’t know why I want to hide my relationship with Pearly from Daddy. I don’t know how he’d react. He always gets scared whenever I crush on boys, and he was especially overprotective with Ben, but I don’t know how he’d react to me with a girl. Let alone one he’s known since she was 8. I didn’t want to worry him about me being in another relationship, so I just asked Pearly and everyone else not to tell him.
Suddenly, I heard the door open, and in walked Daddy. He looked kind of stressed.
“Mr. Wright! How did the case go?” asked Athena.
“Went well, got the verdict. It was really tough though.” he said, setting his suitcase down and rubbing the bridge of his nose. I stood up and took a deep breath.
“Daddy… we have something to say.”
“We?” Daddy asked. Pearly stood up and stood beside me.
“Yes. W-we do…” she held my shaky, cold hand. The feeling of her warm, controlled hand gently wrapping around mine helped me relax a little bit, but I was still incredibly nervous. Even more so when Daddy noticed it and his expression change.
“Um… Pearly and I… we’re dating…”
I braced myself for his response. I couldn’t even look at him. I was too scared…
… I heard a sigh of relief?
I opened my eyes and saw Daddy smiling.
“Thank goodness… That’s fantastic Trucy!”
“Wh-what??” Pearl seemed just as surprised as I was.
“Pearls, there isn’t anyone I trust with Trucy more than you. I’m relieved you two are together!”
“S-so you aren’t mad?” I asked.
“Of course not!” he said.
“Magnifique,” Athena chimed in, “we should go out and celebrate! Checks on me!” She was out the door before we know it.
“Hahaha. Come along girls!” Daddy gestured us to the door, walking out.
“I’m so glad Mr. Nick approves of us dating.” remarked Pearly.
“I am too,” I replied, “I was so worried he’d have a problem with it!”
“Well, shall we go?” my amazing girlfriend asked. I gave her a quick kiss on the cheek.
“Yeah. Let’s go.”

So here’s my entry for the first day of Trupearl Week! This one is based off “first kiss”. The story behind it is Pearl invites now girlfriend Trucy to Hazakura Temple, a place Pearl visited a lot, especially after Trials & Tribulations. It’s here Pearl opens up the shame she has for what happened at the case here, exposing some of her deep insecurities and feelings of inadequacy. Trucy reassures Pearl she is the strongest, most incredible person she’s ever met, and that she will never let her down. Pearl, overwhelmed by what she said, kisses Trucy. It was the most magical moment of her life.
