Folks, please help this dear person and artist out. $50 for a beautiful piece of art is a bargain. Buy one, or several, of her lovely pieces. It will beautify your space and help an artist in need.
Excepting the embrace of a loved one or a child's smile, there's not much in the world that's a finer bargain than $50 for an artwork that gives beauty and enhances your home. What an exemplary way to show somebody that you love them at Christmas and all the rest of the year.
For $50 or even a donation you can help give a Christmas miracle to a needy and deserving artist. Give yourself a gift or show someone else that you love them throughout the year. Your generosity will not go unappreciated.
Kate is an Incredible kind and talented Artist, her flower paintings never fail to make me smile. Please consider buying one of her lovely artworks, especially this time of the year

Not Trying To Be Rude!
Firstly art is a luxury purchase. Someone else's pricing is not relevant to me because they can't make my art. I've always cut huge breaks for tumblr followers and patrons on patreon.
I also notice you're quite vague about the famous artists and suspect you are looking at the prices for prints on canvas, especially as very few watercolorists use canvas-it resists the paint when prepared properly. If they're not watercolorists than again I can't really see a comparison.
Also any opinion of an armchair critic could be placed much better than on a post about how the artist has had to flea her home because of threats of physical violence and is struggling significantly in the aftermath.
This reminds me of a quote form one of John Cage's books: “If this is art, anyone can do it.” to which John Cage replied, “Nobody said you were stupid.”
Havekat’s art is priced appropriately commensurate with her skills, experience, talent and the medium in which she works. If you have any experience in retail marketing at all you will realize that no item in a store is priced at the base minimum. Secondly, If you're expecting original artwork at bargain bin pricing, you had best start shopping for shoddy reproductions at the 99 cent store. Havekat does not price her artwork with an aim towards living in luxury. She merely wishes to live, hopefully in a bare minimum of comfort and peace. That is not too much to ask. Finally, I would suggest that if you're looking for bargain commerce you might do better to invest in hedge funds and companies that engage in vulture capitalism.
