I’d like this if this really was what they said.

What they were thinking: Newt curses Thomas’ Bambi eyes

imagine if thomas and newt got together by tst and they would most likely have cuddled as they slept and whispered, “i love you” to each other every day just in case something were to happen to one of them. and in tdc when newt leaves, thomas becomes emotionally distraught because he got so far with newt only to lose him. seeing newt as a crank was worse but reading newt’s note broke him as it read, “if you ever loved me…”

What they were thinking: Tommy may be an idiot, but he’s Newt’s idiot.

He opened himself up, and he really liked Newt.

“Oh my god! What is that?"                                                 "I don’t even know.”

but what if the night after running through the maze for the first time thomas can’t sleep and newt lay next to him to at least give him conversation but they end up falling asleep and wake up cuddling and after that thomas develops the habit of sleeping snuggled next to newt every time something bad happens bc it gives him the calm he craves and makes him feel safe, and after newt’s death all that thomas wants is to cuddle next to him but he can anymore, and it doesn’t matter he’s in paradise, he knows he won’t feel safe ever again
