Headcanon also: Kris looks at Dess’s tux and thinks it’s too formal and uptight for her tastes. So they rip it up and spray paint it with dripped red to make it look like she got outta a fight. Azz finds out and he’s mad at his sib for ruining his gf’s outfit

Dessriel is an underrated ship, but do you know what (platonic) character pairing is even more underrated? Dess and Kris. I don't see enough headcanons about what kind of friendship they must have had.
We know all four Dreemurr and Holiday kids used to hang out together. We know Dess sometimes had to defend Noelle from Kris when they were being a pest. But I'm willing to bet Kris looked up to Dess like a surrogate big sister and enjoyed getting any kind of attention from her. And she probably cared about them, even when they were annoying as hell.
I bet on a mellower day, when Kris wasn't getting into mischief, there was a lot of mutual respect there. Kris needed someone who could rein them in because Asriel and their parents probably weren't firm enough with their chaotic behavior sometimes. And Dess was the cool older kid they hoped to grow up to be like. She had the tomboyish sporty thing going on - bit of a rascal when she wanted to be, like Kris. An inspiration, honestly. Dess was just SO gender.
That's probably part of the reason why Kris and Noelle grew apart eventually, too. Whatever happened to Dess probably hit Kris almost as hard as Noelle. Neither of them knew how to cope with her absence. Their whole dynamic didn't quite work anymore without Dess there in the middle, like the sun they orbited around.
Ok but I raise you this: Dess using a spray bottle on Kris after jumpscaring Noelle only for them to bite her hand and growl like an angery pup. From there it is a battle of determination, an unstoppable force versus and immovable object.
It isn’t until Asriel bribes Kris with chocolate pie and Dess with kisses (she was definitely roughhousing with them, she don’t take a bite from a feral creature lightly) that Kris finally relents.
Just imagine Dess flingin’ ‘em around like a rag doll trying to get them to let go. In all seriousness I think Kris would like roughhousing because everyone else is like “Oh no!!! Human fragile!!! Must protecc!!!” But Dess out here doesn’t coddle them. She doesn’t mess around. She treats Kris like “one of the big kids” and they LOVE that. Even if she, say, overestimated her strength and accidentally hurt Kris, she wouldn’t overapologize. If Kris bleeds, they just show it to Noelle and say something along the lines of “HEY LOOK ACTUAL BLOOD THIS TIME.” Which of course earns them another firm bONK on the head. (“bONK! Go to meanie jail.”)
There is, actually, a designated meanie jail area. On that note, Kris will actually go to the meanie corner. As much as they show otherwise, they do sincerely respect Dess’s authority. In the meanie jail, Noelle visits them regularly and brings them get-well cards (completely misunderstanding the point). Asriel just takes one look and goes, “Again?”
Meanwhile Kris has already given themself a fake tattoo reading “NO REGERTS” drawn from a half-ingested marker
