Trevor's Statement
Trevor has finally decided to put out a full public statement about the allegations that were made against him. This is the link to the google doc; it's very thorough and too long to screenshot. Below is a bit of a tl;dr summary.
However, if you're left with any doubts or questions about the validity of this, I highly encourage you to read the FULL statement before making any judgements. He provides secondary accounts, screenshots, and various other forms of evidence to substantiate his claims throughout.
Tl;dr:
- Emily (his ex) had been consistently emotionally abusive towards Trevor for most of their relationship. She had a history of gaslighting him, verbally abusing him, criticizing his work and friends at RT and attempting to control his career or relationships
- He was never involved with Barbara before he and Emily broke up. By the time they even got to know each other, he was already in the process of ending things with Emily, and they'd already been apart for a month when he and Barbara actually started seeing each other.
- Despite Emily's claims, Trevor did tell her that he and Barbara were dating before they announced it on social media. He wanted her to find out from him first. They met in person to discuss it, which ended in her kicking him out, berating him, and following him to his car when he tried to leave.
- After they broke up, Emily ended up moving to an apartment complex extremely close to Trevor's house. She admitted to him that she'd often deliberately drive by his house to see where he was and if he had anyone over. He and Barbara both witnessed this happening several times, and she would engage in other stalking behavior; harassing coworkers to find out where he was and what he was doing, purposefully doxxing him and other AH members (AFTER what Meg and Gavin went through)
- Emily's claims of what Trevor supposedly put her through have been inconsistent at best from the beginning. None of her accusations were ever supported with any kind of evidence, even screenshots. Despite her saying that she wants to separate herself from Trevor and RT, she still follows many RTAH members on social media
In short- Emily was abusive, manipulative, and constantly put Trevor and other members of AH under scrutiny and in very real danger throughout their involvement. Again, if you want to see evidence or screenshots, Trevor provides them consistently throughout the full statement.
Trevor didn't want to make a statement like this because, as you probably have caught by now, he's had to go into a lot of detail about very private things to fully discuss it. Regardless, though, the amount of threats and harassment he and Barbara have recieved as a result of these claims made it difficult to move past, and in the wake of the recent scandal he decided it was necessary to rebuild some semblance of trust between AH and the Community.
