Monday, June 25, 2012 continued... The old cafe in Glenrio, Texas. Once again, there were no people around as I explored, but there was that unseen dog barking again. Anyone know who owns it? Monday, June 25, 2012 continued... First/Last Motel on Route 66 in Glenrio, Texas. I've seen old photos of this garage/motel/cafe business when it was thriving, crowded with vacationers. The new interstate is just yards away from old 66, but that was not close enough. "The Fine Art photography of Frank Romeo." Look for my Route 66 Galleries here: http://frank-romeo.pixels.com/

Wednesday, June 20, 2012 continued.. The best parking spot at the Wagon Wheel Motel in Cuba, Missouri was already taken by someone who checked in in 1947. "The Fine Art photography of Frank Romeo." Look for my Route 66 Galleries here: http://frank-romeo.pixels.com/
Wednesday, June 20, 2012 continued.. At the Sunset Motel in Villa Ridge, Missouri. A most awesome neon sign. "The Fine Art photography of Frank Romeo." Look for my Route 66 Galleries here: http://frank-romeo.pixels.com/
Wednesday, June 20, 2012 continued.. The big Diamonds/Gardenway sign in Gray Summit, Missouri, getting a little ratty and missing a letter on top. The Gardenway Motel was still open for business nearby, but the old Diamonds Restaurant, opened in 1927, has been gone for long time now. This is the intersection of MO 100 and U.S. 66, a choice location in its day, but nearby Interstate 44 took that all away. "The Fine Art photography of Frank Romeo."
