When you try to be quiet but then you see this:

Sad, true story (yes, there are Darkling stans who hate Matthias, like, okay).

As I always say, I usually don't judge people's tastes, but incoherency and double standards make me a bit mad. Just a bit, uh.

I don't care if you don't like Matthias, nor if you like the Darkling, that's a matter of tastes.

But defending and justifying a true villain and, at the same time, bashing a boy who, yes, did bad things, but also grew up in a land under dictatorship, where information is manipulated by the government, so people cannot educate themselves, and where his trauma had been used to brainwash him and turn him into a weapon... WELL.

Of course, I am not saying Matthias did nothing wrong. Grisha he caught will never have their lives back (I also tried to treat this topic in a One-shot fic).

But, as I said: double standards drive me mad.

And, excuse me but A REDEMPTION ARC FOR BRUM? THE MAN WHO POISONED THE MINDS OF MANY FJERDAN BOYS SO THEY WOULD HELP HIM TO PERSECUTE GRISHA?

If Bardugo really gives him a redemption arc, after denying to Matthias to complete his own and after saying bad things about him (Matthias) in interviews, I will personally go to slap her with her own books.

About Kaz, I once found a nice analysis that compared his and Matthias' paths, should I find it again I'll reblog it twice, because it was very well written. And it shut up the idea "Matthias is a monster but Kaz is an innocent pure soul who only need to be understood."

Sorry for the bitterness but I had to say this.

Now, I still haven't met the Darkling, so I don't have an opinion on him yet. Knowing myself, I'll probably appreciate how he's written.

But being antis of a brainwashed orphan, son of a shitty culture, who the lazy author randomly killed off when he had just started his character development, instead of working properly on him, and, at the same time, stanning a villain who killed, hurt, manipulated, ruined the lives of many people and who knows what else, sounds a bit... incoherent and annoying to me.

Sorry but I couldn't resist.

From the few I read, Alina gives me vibes like "I don't need a man", so I'll probably be with the queen or with Donkey.

I'm reading very slowly TGT, I hoped I could handle it but, since CK shitty ending, Grishaverse books often trigger my anxiety attacks.

But I'll try my best to finish it, also because I like commenting books.

For now, Alina is okay, to me, I have positive and protective feelings towards her, hope she won't disappoint me. If she'll keep on like this, I'll probably fill documents for her adoption.

And, even if I haven't met him yet, I still figure the Darkling as Pitch from The Rise of Guardians.

How would I immagine the Darkling if Ben Bernes weren't casted.

I started reading TGT.

I hope I'll be able to read it without having panic attacks, like it happened with CK ending and KoS.

I am usually a quick reader, but I could take longer to finish it (also because I'm reading it in English, we haven't an italian edition yet).
