Idk why you tag "dumb", "idiot", or "stupid" as ableist. They aren't like the r-slur, and if you tag every word that "triggers" someone, why aren't you tagging the word "girl" bc I'm a trans man, and it "triggers" me when I see the word? Of course, that's ridiculous and I don't expect you to. But so is tagging the other words. They only offend people whose genuine questions are tagged as ableist – as if they're doing something wrong – like I'm certain you'll do with this ask, if you publish it.

Please read this post. Those words have been historically used to dehumanize and de-legitimize individuals with learning / developmental / cognitive disabilities, and still are. More under the cut, because this ask was not very nice.
