Is the word androgyne only for intersex people? Or can non-intersex people use it as well. Because I think androgyne fits me but I'm not intersex
Kii says:
I’ve never heard anything about androgyne being for intersex people.

Is it okay to identify as male publicly but actually be androgyne?
Kai says:
Yes, I identified as a binary trans boy publicly for a while even though I realized I am nonbinary. I eventually just re-came out as nonbinary after that actually though. It’s valid to do whatever makes you most comfortable.
Hey! So I’ve recently discovered I am androgyne and I feel so great about finally discovering who I am. However I always feel more like leaning to the masculine side more than the female side and I was born a girl. Does this make me androgyne still or is there a name for leaning more on the masculine side?
Kii says:
If you feel like androgyne still fits you, you can use that label. You can also look at some of the lists of gender labels we have here.
I’m sorry if this is in the FAQ I have ADHD and it’s hard to read the whole thing without being distracted anyways is androgynous a gender or is it just a way of looking/acting please and thank yous ❤️
Lee says:Androgyne is a gender identity, androgynous is a gender expression.
What’s the difference between androgyne and being bi gender male and female?
Kii says:
How you feel the two are similar or different is honestly up to you, and you can use both labels, or whichever one you feel suits you better/
Can a person be androgyne yet have days where they feel more feminine and others more masculine? Like, andro-fluid or something? I never feel truly like a certain gender, always being in the middle somehow, but i skew across the binary with drastic changes
Kai says:
Yes, that’s totally valid. Check out our “what am I” page for more info on possible labels:https://transgenderteensurvivalguide.tumblr.com/post/59381012320/what-am-i
I identify as both an androgyne and a trans guy, is that weird? I'm really attached to androgyny and it feels Right to just be a confusion sometimes (I often experience that sort of free feeling of not having a gender), if that makes sense, but also if people know me and aren't just strangers on the street I prefer being referred to with he/him and as a boy, because I feel that I am one.
Kii says:
You can use whatever labels make you most comfortable!
Is androgynous a gender identity or gender expression? I see it used in both ways.
Lee says:
I’ve heard androgyne as the gender identity, and androgynous as the gender expression!
is it ok that I see myself as androgyne, but use 'bigender' (referring to male and female here) simply because it's easier to pronounce and more understandable to people? In this context, they could mean the same thing, right?
Kii says:
That’s fine. Keep in mind that we can’t give or deny anyone permission to use a gender label. We don’t have that kind of power.
How do you pronounce "androgyne"? Also, on the topic of how to pronounce things, how does one pronounce mod Kii's name? Is it the same as Kai's pronunciation, or it more like "key"?
Kii says:
My name is pronounced like key. (I feel like I should put this in my bio or something. XP)
I’ve seen androgyne either pronounced and-ro-jeen or and-ro-jeen-ay, depending on who is saying it.

do you think it's okay that i identify as androgyne but dont want to look androgynous? i like to more look like a tomboy (i guess)? sort of neutral but distinctively feminine?
Kii says:
Yes, that’s fine! Presentation is not the same as gender.
Hello! Can I start off by saying your blog is so amazing! :) I've been calling myself androgyne, but it fluctuates rarely. Sometimes I'll feel like a man and sometimes I'll feel like a woman. But most of the time its a mix between the two. I did the flow chart, but I don't know if androgyne fits or if I should use genderflux/fluid or something else?
Kii says:
You can pick whichever one you want.
What does the androgynous pride flag look like?
Ari says:
Pride flags for androgynous and androgyne (They’re different)
can i identify as androgynous while having a kinda fluid gender? thanks!
Kii says:
Androgynous is a description os presentation, not gender. However, you can identify as androgyne and genderfluid.
I present as androgynous, but I was curious to know if that's a gender you can identify with? Could you please enlighten me?
Ren says:
Perhaps you’re looking for androgyne? :)
