When I was in college I was in the "LGBT-friendly" housing group. My college did not have dorms but did have deals with nearby landlords and so sorted their students into housing groups a-la-hogwarts-houses and mediated from there. There was no "black people" housing group probably because there were maybe 10 black students per major if that so there wouldn't've been enough to qualify for a group on their own.

My initial housing setup was myself (trans man), she/they roommate (non-dysphoric, nonbinary, non-transition and does not consider themself trans), and she/her roommate (genderfluid prefer fem). At some point we gained a fourth- another binary trans man. All of us were assigned female at birth, to be clear. For pronoun clarity and to keep names private I will refer to them all as such.

The other trans man and I ended up bonding over some shared misery. He joined our household midway through the year at the request of she/her. He had been forcibly married to a cis man, beaten, raped. His birth control taken, hidden away. His transition denied from him. Treatment for his mental and physical disabilities denied from him. Access to friends, ghe ability to work, all of that denied from him. He was simply there to warm the bed and make children, and his disabled body seemed unable to do the second while his concious mind hated the first. He lived in that man's house for several years before being offered an out by she/her. When it was brought to the household as a possibility, we agreed it would be best for him to at least temporarily live with us where he would be safe from his ex husband while they went through the divorce process. His family was initially incredibly resistant to show any support and he was initially disowned for 'being unfaithful' in his marriage (by leaving).

Once he moved in with us, things... changed. She/her had apparently, unbeknownst to the other two of us, struck a deal with him saying that in return for not paying rent he would need to warm *her* bed. She was into some things that toed the line of SSC, and he was... not. He was also uncomfortable knowing that she was long term partnered with a cis man who had made unsolicited comments about his body. This is when I started hearing a lot of screams of "no" and "stop" due to my bedroom being right above theirs. I confronted the both of them about it and they swore it was just a kink thing, but then in private when she/her wasn't home he told me he was NOT roleplaying and that she also knew that and it seemed to excite her more, and the rest of the situation.

At some point I confronted she/her about this and we very nearly got into a physical altercation. She did put hands on me, but I did not retaliate because he had asked me not to do anything that would risk him getting kicked out. He still had no where to go.

I found out later that she/her had forced him to sign a contract saying that he would stay with her as her personal fuck toy for a year. And yes, she did get that directly from 50 Shades of Grey (book, predates movie).

I also found out that he had fallen in love with our she/they roommate, and that he desperately wanted to be with that person and not the one he was forced to be with.

After I left that household to be in the hospital for months due to my cancer scare, I continued to work in the background to keep the two actual lovers safe from the third. He and she/they eventually moved out together, but due to the contract felt forced to allow she/her into their relationship and their home for the first year of their lives together (so... longer than the contract actually said). He was also forced to wear a locked collar engraved with she/her name, also directly lifted from 50 Shades, for the duration of this.

Finally, finally, the contract was considered fulfilled and she/her "released" him from his "service", and he married she/they and moved somewhere else without telling she/her and changed their numbers and social media handles. I am still friends with and in contact with the both of them, and she/her has assumed multiple aliases to continue collecting victims to repeat this awful cycle. His family finally relented and accepted him as he truly is, but she/they family did not and will not accept or acknowledge their relationship. He has medically transitioned the way he wanted, he has recieved top notch care for his disabilities, they own their own home and have a lovely menagerie of pets, it is as good of an end to a story like this as I think you can get when considering the time we were raised in.

Legally? No one would do anything. Do you know how hard it is to convince police that a woman is raping and abusing a man? Do you know how hard it is to convince police that what they're assuming is a lesbian relationship is not, and that one of these "women" is hurting the other "woman" in ways that are undescribable? Do you know how hard it is to be utterly abandoned by everyone you know and care about, to be told your choices are either stay with your abusive current partner or go back to your abusive husband, and the police won't help? Domestic violence groups won't help because "well if you're a trans man you can't be here with the women"? A bunch of fucking college kids and their school's GSA leaders had to step up because no one else would.

And because of this, she/her is still out there grooming and manipulating and abusive victims because she's perfected the art of ensnaring vulnerable people so she can harm them. And no one will do anything about it, except have the victims name one of her many aliases and tell others to watch out for her.

SO, I have been wading in Good Omens meta for months now, and I often see things come up that Neil has actually addressed in asks. Trouble is, his ask box is deep and intimidating, and since season 2 was announced all the pre-season 2 asks have basically been buried. But I went hunting long ago for basically anything GO-related and I took screenshots of a bunch. So I thought I’d present them here, roughly organized, in text form, for the benefit of anyone else who’s curious.

Of course, none of this is meant to invalidate headcanons or whatever; Neil himself is firmly against doing so. But I’ve personally had no issue accepting author’s word with this series, since Neil has not, as yet, done anything that made me want to shout at him or eat a couch in frustration, which is a refreshing change from the writers in most of the fandoms I’ve ever been part of. So, for what it’s worth, here are the answers. At least some of them; I know I’ve missed a lot.

(And yes, they pretty much all relate to the angels and demons, Crowly and Aziraphale specifically. There were very few asks that DIDN’T concern them, and none that I have saved. Of course, the ask box is still open…)

The questions just kept getting more and more absurd until finally at the end Dominic Monaghan abruptly dropped the accent and let him in on the joke. This interview is one of the best things I have ever seen to this day but the clip is nowhere near as good without that context!
