Summary: Tig finds a positive pregnancy test at (Y/N)'s house which he much later finds out that it's not even hers.
It had been a week since Tig had found that pregnancy test at (Y/N)'s house and she had still not mentioned a thing about it. An entire week and still nothing. That was until he decided to take matters in his own hands and confront her about it.
It wasn't until they were cuddling on her couch for quite some time that he finally found the guts to hint towards it. As he was playing with her hair, looking down at her, he took a deep breath and finally started talking:
He had been meaning to ask her about it the entire time he was at her house but somehow, just by looking at her, the words couldn't come out his mouth.
"Babe..."
"Mhm?" she said all tired.
"Do you... would you trust me with anything?"
She looked up at him with a confused look and let out a chuckle. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Like, do you trust me? Would you trust me with anything in your life?" he was still serious.
"What... are you on about?" she asked him all concerned now while standing up to sit next to him with her legs crossed. "Did the guys make you 'test' any drugs again? I swear..."
"Babe, I'm serious."
"Then tell me what's wrong."
"Do you love me?" he asked while staring at her eyes.
"Yes Tiggy. I've told you a thousand times." She was stroking his cheek now. "I love you. Tell me what's up you're actually making me worried."
"Could you... could you ever see us... this relationship... taking the next step?"
"Tig we've talked about this. We've been together for 2 years now and we know each other for a whole more than that. We don't need marriage. We don't need a certificate to validate our relationship. I thought we were on the same page about this."
"No, no, we are" he reassured her quickly. They had talked plenty of times about how they both don't feel the need to get married but the conversation had never gone the 'kids' route, at least not in a very serious matter. "What I mean is... do you ever see yourself... us... having a kid? like ever?"
His question definitely surprised her.
"What? I- I don't know. Do you?"
There she goes. Took her long enough. She's finally trying to ask for my opinion indirectly, he thought.
"Um... yeah, sure, I think... yeah."
"I think we said that we wouldn't rush it... that we'd just let it come whenever it would feel right."
"Yeah, I know, I know. And I completely agree."
"Then why are we having this conversation Tiggy?"
"Because... I want you to know that I would never pressure you into anything. Having kids... or not."
She laughed lightly while caressing his cheek. "I know baby."
She really couldn't understand his all of a sudden weird behaviour.
"And because I want you to know that you can talk to me about this stuff... Whatever worries you, you can tell me about it."
"Yeah baby I know, thank you" she said still weirded out.
"Then why are you doing exactly the opposite? Why are you not... telling me?" he blurted out after dinner moments of frustration.
"Tell you what?"
"Babe, I thought we were sharing everything with each other" he said suddenly all serious.
"(Y/N), I feel like I have the right to at least know." He sighed heavily and by then she was really starting to worry.
He couldn't believe that she wasn't telling him anything yet. Throughout their relationship he had never felt like their was lack of communication and trust between them until this very moment. He was still trying to build the courage to ask her about the pregnancy test he had found.
"Well, I thought so too! What is that supposed to mean?"
"I... I found a pregnancy test."
"What pr-" she tried to speak until she realised.
"A positive one (Y/N)! I found it like a week ago!"
She was quiet, still trying to process everything.
"When were you planning on telling me?" His tone sounded desperate rather than angry.
She finally decided to go with it for a little longer, see if she could have some fun out of the situation.
So that's what this was all about. A pregnancy test. A pregnancy test that's not even mine, she thought.
"I'm sorry baby, I was nervous. I didn't know how to tell you and I was always putting it off" she said while looking down, trying to make it more believable.
He just sighed yet again. "Why though? Have I ever been too pushy about this? Have you ever felt like you can't trust me? I want you to be able to tell me everything babe, you know that."
"You've been great baby. I was just... I really don't know what got into me. I'm sorry."
He hugger her from her side and put his hand on her cheek.
"Don't be. I just want you to be able to trust me... like I do. I would never pressure you into taking any decisions about this kid. I just felt like I at least had the right to know."
She nodded looking sad.
(Y/N) really wasn't prepared for the silence that followed.
"You're on the fucking pill though damnit, how did this...?" he grunted frustrated with a hand on his face, looking up.
"There's always a slight chance of... pregnancy. It doesn't always 100% work" she said which he obviously knew.
Even more silence echoed through the room.
"So?" he asked hesitantly. "What are you planning to do?" He sounded quiet and almost scared.
"I... I don't think I'm ready for a kid Tig."
He nodded and she continued: "We're both so busy and... you and the club... I don't want to bring a kid into this chaotically dangerous life."
"I agree, yeah" he spoke quietly.
"I mean just the dogs keep us busy enough already" she laughed and he did as well.
"So are you planning on having a...?" he couldn't even say the word. An abortion.
She nodded. "If you're okay with that. Yeah."
He looked destroyed to say the least and his eyes started watering as he put his head near her belly hugging her waist.
She was playing with his hair for a while when she finally smiled.
"I should probably feel bad right now but that's what you get when you dig around into things that aren't yours Tiggy."
He immediately stopped hugging her and sat straight next to her. "What?" he asked completely lost.
"The pregnancy test wasn't mine you idiot."
"Wha-" he repeated.
"It was Lyla's. She took it when she was here like a week ago."
He was still lost, trying to put his head around what she had just said.
"You mean..."
"I mean that you should really stop digging around other people's stuff... Did you really think that I would hide this from you?"
"I don't fucking know. My head was a little too focused on the fact that you were supposed to be pregnant." He was still trying to process everything.
She laughed.
"Just don't tell Ope."
