Summary: (Y/N) asks Jax to pretend to be her boyfriend in order to teach a guy that won't leave her alone a lesson. Needless to say things get a little complicated even when they're faking their relationship.
A/N: another overused trope but what's new? lessgooo
"Are you gonna tell me what's up now?" Jax asked (Y/N) the second he stepped into her house.
"Yes I will. I told you I will" she replied but couldn't find herself to speak any further.
Jax looked at her with a questioning look. "I'm waiting... What was so important that you couldn't tell me on the phone?"
"Umm, it's not exactly important. Well no, it is important, it's just mostly embarrassing."
"Embarrassing?" he laughed as he sat on the couch, leaning back, his right arm on the back of it.
She sat next to him, still quiet.
"Come on. You know you can tell me everything" his low voice and big round eyes made her even more nervous, instead of safe and relaxed like they usually did. How are you supposed to say this to your friend of all those years, who may or may not also be your crush?
"I just... I need your help Jax."
He just nodded, not wanting to interrupt her since she had finally started talking.
"Um... This Noah guy from work..."
His face immediately turned red, eyes narrowing and eyebrows furrowed. "If this fucker is not leaving you alone again I swear to fucking-"
"No, no" she was quick to interrupt him. "It's not like that."
"Well then tell me. You're staring to get me worried."
"Well... I may or may not have told him that I have a boyfriend so that he'll leave me alone."
He laughed. "You really need to learn how to say no darlin."
"I know but that's besides the point. So, um, there's this thing, we do it every year basically, kinda like a party. It's for the employees of the company. At my boss' house." She sighed nervously and looked at his still clueless face.
"I need you to be my boyfriend is what I'm trying to say here. Fake boyfriend" she corrected herself. "I need you to pretend that we're dating" she gulped.
He took a while to respond. "For the party thing?" his voice sounded a little high pitched, as if he was about to laugh.
"If you're not okay with it, then it's fine I'll just go alone, or I can ask someone else or-"
"I'm okay with it. I mean it's not like we're gonna have to fuck in front of them or something" he said trying to make her feel less awkward and she nodded.
"I'd do anything for you, you know that. Especially when it comes to that prik co-worker of yours."
The butterflies in her stomach intensified.
"Thank you Jax" she said softly.
"That's okay love" her replied. "But, you know, if you wanted to see how dating me would be like you could've just asked."
She laughed out of awkwardness. If only he knew. "You're so full of yourself Teller."
"Also if we gotta practise kissing or anything just tell me. You know, in case we need to check if there's the needed chemistry n all" he joked.
"Say one more thing like that and I'm asking Tig to come with me."
"Tig?" he laughed.
"You know he'd be more than happy to help me."
"Oh I know he would" he said referring to his friend's flirty behaviour towards (Y/N) (or anyone really). "I'm just saying... Your co-workers could see him out with other women and they'd think that he's cheating on you" he continued teasing her.
"Yeah like that's totally not a possibility with you."
It was supposed to be a joke but Jax smirked awkwardly and looked down while playing with the rings on his fingers. He thought about the countless women he'd bury himself into just because he couldn't be with the one he truly loved. And the worst part was that it wasn't because he didn't have the balls to tell her how madly in love he was with her, but because he knew that by doing so she'd immediately be in danger because of his chaotic life. He had to choose between letting either her or himself suffer every day and he knew what the easiest choice for him was.
"Do I have to dress nice or anything? Cause I don't-"
"Yeah I know you 'don't'. Just wear your least baggy jeans... and one of your button-ups. No leather please."
"Okay boss" he joked. "Do I have to remove my knife from my belt to?"
"God, I should have told the guy that I'm a lesbian" she said desperately with one hand on her face.
He laughed at her comment. "Relax, I'm just joking."
When the night of the party arrived (Y/N) had told Jax that she'd come over by his house first, mostly because she wanted to check on his outfit since she didn't trust him completely with his styling choices.
He saw her standing by the door as he opened it. Glowing skin, thick eyeliner and plump red lips accompanied with a short emerald dress that was complementing her skin tone perfectly. He stared for a little too long, his lips partly opened in awe.
"Hey" she said with a smile.
"Hey" he replied almost out of breath. "You look...", beautiful, so unbelievably hot, fucking irresistible, "great. That Noah guy is one unlucky bastard" he smirked as he let her in.
"Mmm... can't wait till he sees how hot my boyfriend is. And intimidating. And big. And scary" she laughed.
"You think I look scary?"
"Well, in a good way."
"How can someone look scary in a good way?" he laughed while running his fingers through his long hair and licking his lips.
"It is a good thing when you can scare annoying guys away."
"Ok, I'm taking that as a compliment" he smirked as he started heading towards his bedroom.
When he arrived at the living room again he found (Y/N) sat on his couch. "Ok how do I look?" he asked.
She stood up and took a good look at him while smiling. Her smile faded though when she noticed a stain on his shirt.
"Jax, there's blood on your shirt, for fuck's sake."
"Shit" he exclaimed as he was looking down at the side of his shirt. "You know what, maybe this will scare him even more."
"Go change" she told him unamused.
Without a word he headed straight to his bedroom again.
"Can you come here for a sec?" he asked loudly do she'd hear him in the living room.
"Sure, what's up?" she froze as she saw him standing in his room shirtless with a flannel on each hand.
"Which one?" he asked for her opinion.
"Black one's fine." Her mesmerized look and soft voice made him smirk, knowing exactly what he was doing to her. His flexing muscles looked so irresistible, and she completely lost it once he started buttoning up shirt. Inappropriate thoughts started filling her head.
"C'mon let's go" he said with a wink once he put his flannel on.
She gave him a questioning look. "That's it? Aren't you gonna do something about the hair situation up there?"
Truth is, as much as she loved his messy long hair, now was not the time for this particular hair style.
"What's wrong with my hair?" he asked as he turned around to look at the mirror, almost a little too offended. He started running his fingers through it, trying to fix it.
"Let me do it" she said without thinking, getting closer to him. Her fingers were running through his blond hair trying to tame it down when she realised his breathtaking blue eyes were glued on hers. The undying need of his to grab her face and kiss her hungrily was definitely at its peak at this very moment.
She gulped nervously and slowly put her hands down. "I did the best I could" she smiled.
"It's gonna get all fucked up from my helmet anyway darlin."
Jax whistled as he saw the villa the party was thrown in. From the looks of it, it seemed like this would be no SAMCRO party. He noticed (Y/N) being nervous as they were standing next to his bike in the warm summer night and proceeded to comfort her.
"Come on, everything's gonna be fine. Don't worry."
She just sighed deeply so he continued: "We just get in there, pretend that we actually enjoy this rich-people-get-together-party-thing for a couple of hours, everyone thinks you're fucking the hottest guy in Charming, this Noah guy leaves you alone... then we get back to your place and watch a movie. Nothing to worry about."
She couldn't help but roll her eyes at the cocky comment about himself even though his words really reassured her.
They started walking towards the door when Jax put an arm around her waist.
"Just... no talk about the club, don't start any fights and no hitting on other women."
"Yes ma'am."
"I'm serious Jax. I don't want others to know that even my fake boyfriend cheats on me. Just sit there and look pretty okay?"
"Aw, you think I'm pretty?"
A desperate look couldn't help but appear on (Y/N)'s face.
As they entered the house they were immediately greeted with a warm smile by the hostess, (Y/N)'s boss, who showed them to the garden.
(Y/N) loved the looks and attention she was getting for once. She knew that Jax wasn't a guy that went unnoticed and having him stand by her side was adding up to her confidence.
Things were going pretty great. The two of them were talking with some of (Y/N)'s co-workers, joking and having fun under the warm lights in the big garden by the pool. She was surprised at how well Jax was doing also. Actually having conversations with everyone, being nice and funny, which was making her fall for him even harder. She would only see him interact with club members and (other) criminals, making her almost forget the other normal side of him. Well, to that also contributed the fact that thankfully Noah was nowhere to be found.
It wasn't until minutes later that she saw him a few feet away talking to a guy from work and his boyfriend. When they accidentally made eye contact and waved at each other, (Y/N) cursed under her breath and tried to ignore him while still keeping an eye towards his direction. When she noticed him starting to walk towards where she was standing, she started panicking, her mind trying to find an excuse to run away.
"Will you um, excuse us for a second?"
She had already grabbed Jax by his right arm when she started heading towards the inside of the house with him.
"What's up?" he asked her full of worry, seeing the expression on her face.
"Noah is here. He-"
"(Y/N)!" She heard a voice calling her from behind and knew exactly who it was.
"Noah! Hey!" the fakest smile on her face as she turned around.
Jax eyed the guy up and down. He had short dark hair and an annoying smirk that he wanted to slap out of his face already. He seemed pretty fit and was only a few inches shorter than the blond biker, yet Jax completely understood why (Y/N) didn't like him because of his cocky behaviour.
He was already all over her, giving her a hug and Jax was starting to get angry seeing him hugging her when she was supposed to be with her boyfriend. This guy had some nerve.
"What's up? I just saw you there with everyone else! Did you just get here or...?"
"We've been here for a while now actually" she replied.
"Mhmm probably just didn't notice you around" Jax was quick to interrupt as he put his left arm around her waist. The look on Noah's face was not happy to say the least.
"Aren't you going to introduce us?" the brunette guy asked (Y/N), although his eyes never left Jax's, provoking him even more.
"Yeah, um, Jax this is Noah. Noah, this is Jax, my boyfriend." She enjoyed calling him her boyfriend even if it was fake.
She saw Noah's hand turn paler as Jax was giving him a firm handshake, a murderous look on his face.
"Should we grab some drinks?" the guy asked.
"We were just leaving actually-"
"Going to the bathroom" Jax intervened. "Comin' right back."
As the two were about to leave, a stupid grin appeared on Noah's face. "You don't even let her go to the bathroom by herself?"
"She's the one that asked me to come with. Don't know what she has in mind" Jax winked at him.
The two were heading inside, trying to find a bathroom.
"What the fuck was that?" (Y/N) asked him frustrated.
"I thought we were giving this guy a lesson. What's the point in leaving before doing exactly that?"
He had a point but the atmosphere was so tense she couldn't bare another second next to these two. She just sighed.
"I swear if that guy pisses me off once more I'm throwing him in the pool" he said finally.
"JAX!"
He always enjoyed the frustration in her voice when he was teasing her.
Once they were outside the bathroom, (Y/N) put her back against the door and sighed looking up. "Do you actually wanna use the bathroom or?"
"Might as well. We're supposed to be fucking anyway so we don't wanna head back too soon" he winked at her and went inside.
A few moments later they were heading towards the garden again when they saw Noah conveniently talking to the group of people (Y/N) and Jax were talking to prior.
"God damn it" she exclaimed and turned her back to the group of people, facing Jax.
"Hey, relax. We're just teaching this guy never to look at your general direction again and we're out. You don't even have to do anything, count on me" he smiled.
He suddenly put a hand on each side of her face and got closer to her. She just gave him a weird look in return.
"He's looking, just follow my lead, okay?" his smile turned into a cheeky grin as he put a strand of hair behind her ear.
She nodded nervously, not knowing what 'follow my lead' meant exactly.
"We're just gonna pretend that we're talking for while", his voice was soothing as ever, "and that we're totally madly in love, okay?" he put both his arms around her waist as his eyes were looking into hers.
She laughed lightly at his comments, feeling completely safe in his arms.
"Okay, laughing. Nice touch" he tried to calm her down even more and she couldn't help but smile at her idiot of a best friend.
He kissed her cheek while discreetly looking at the guy behind.
She never really thought the phrase "melting in someone's arms" could be said literally until that very moment. Or maybe until he lowered his right hand a bit, which was now almost grabbing her ass.
Jax noticed that they were not being watched anymore so he slowly removed his hands from her body.
"Is he still looking?" (Y/N) asked oblivious.
"Um, yes" he lied while whispering seductively in her ear. He kissed her check yet again and then gave her a smile while brushing the top of her nose with his index finger.
"C'mon let's go teach this fucker a lesson" he said finally and they started heading hand in hand towards the group of people a few feet behind them.
The conversation was going pretty well until Jax and Noah started talking to each other.
"Don't listen to her, she's definitely getting that promotion. She's the best at what she does" the dark-haired guy said.
"I know, she's always humble like that."
"Besides our boss loves her."
"Who doesn't?" Jax had already put an arm around her shoulder and she looked at him playfully.
"Exactly."
"Noah, stop!" she mumbled all shy.
"What? It's true. I mean, you hang around with bikers for Christ's sake, that alone is proof that you could get along with anyone" he laughed. It wasn't a secret that (Y/N) was a friend of SAMCRO but even if it was, showing up with Jax Teller as her boyfriend would make it pretty obvious anyway.
"And I know that the type of girls that hang around bikers aren't exactly... well, they're nothing like you, so this only further proves my point."
His derogatory comment about women really started grinding her gears. "What type of girls hang around bikers Noah?" she asked ready to hear more sexist bullshit.
"You know, less clothing... brains... usually junkies... I know for a fact you're nothing like that."
"You don't know what I am" she said calmly trying not to sound too offensive.
"Well, I mean, from what I see. You're intelligent... and classy."
Jax was really not appreciating neither the flirting right in front of him nor the bad comments about his club. Especially since the guy was implying that (Y/N) shouldn't be with someone like Jax.
"Well, me and the guys love her just as she is and because of who she is. And yeah, she is different than the average girl that hangs with us but that's what we love about her; that although she looks innocent and harmless she can put a bunch of bikers at their place when she needs to."
(Y/N) was glad that Jax decided to speak since her response to Noah would've been a whole lot different and more towards the angry side. Also she loved everything Jax had just said about her and couldn't help but wonder if he meant any of it.
"Yeah, I'm just saying that I couldn't imagine her around you and your kind."
Jax was getting angrier by the minute with all these little comments.
"Well, my kind loves her actually. Just as much as I do. You should really come to one of our parties, she would completely change your mind" Jax smirked.
"It's not really... my thing."
"Yeah, I can imagine" Jax said with a voice full of irony. "You know, maybe (Y/N)'s not supposed to be around your kind, have you thought about that?"
Shots fired, she thought and couldn't hide the fact that she was enjoying it, especially when Noah couldn't find something to say in response.
There was some awkward silence for a while which was thankfully interrupted by a guy walking by and greeting both (Y/N) and Noah since he hadn't seen them since he got there.
When he left the tension prior was somewhat forgotten.
"Do you think we should get going?" she asked Jax since it was getting a bit late.
He was enjoying this too much to leave now though, so he told her that they could stay a bit longer.
"Aren't you having a good time love?" Noah asked her with a smirk painted on his face.
Just at the sound of the word love Jax was fuming. Maybe taking his knife holder off his belt wasn't such a good idea after all.
"I'm just a little tired. And I have kind of a headache." It was true. All this tension wasn't giving her a good time.
"Shit, why didn't you tell me earlier babe?" Jax asked her, his tone worried. "Do you wanna leave now?"
"I- If that's okay with you."
"Yeah, of course" he said looking at her eyes, before putting his hands on her cheeks and giving her a small yet passionate kiss.
Surprised was an understatement for what she felt then. The confusion was taken over by the warm fuzzy feeling inside her so she just stood there unable to speak.
"I'll go get our jackets" he winked at her and left quickly.
When they said goodbye to everyone and started heading towards the exit, (Y/N) asked him a question that summarised everything she was feeling after the kiss.
"What the fuck?"
"What?" he pretended he didn't know what she was taking about. He wasn't ready to face the consicuenses. Not yet.
"Jax, what the fuck was that? We didn't agree to this." She sounded mad even if she was dying for this kiss to happen for years. She just didn't imagine their first kiss, if that ever happened, to be... fake.
"If the dude was flirting with you when you were supposed to be with your boyfriend then he had no intentions of leaving you the fuck alone. I had to do it to shut him up. You should be thanking me about this."
They were by his bike now and Jax had a pack of cigarettes in his hand already. He lit one up and started taking big drags out of it, trying to calm himself down.
(Y/N) was waiting for him impatiently as the silence was growing heavier.
"I never asked you to do such thing" she said finally.
"I- I'm sorry okay? The dude was just pissing me off. Talking shit about me and the club and then flirting with you right in front of me. Who does he fucking think he is?" he exclaimed and with a quick motion threw his cigarette to the ground before stepping on it.
So that's what it was huh? Being pissed that someone flirted with 'his girlfriend' in front of him. His 'possession' being claimed by someone else. Which meant that the kiss, apart from being something fake, also happened for all the wrong reasons. (Y/N)'s mind was full of thoughts but the only thing that came out of her mouth was a depressing "Can we just go home?"
And so they did. (Y/N) had spent all the ride home trying to make sense of her thoughts. When she noticed that Jax was about to start following her to the door she stopped him.
"I... I'm kinda tired. Can we do the movie some othe time?"
"Yeah..." he paused, "yeah, sure." The disappointment in his voice was more than apparent. He had obviously noticed the change of her behaviour after the kiss but he would've never thought that she'd indirectly ask him to leave.
He would've also never guessed that this would go on for the following days. She would openly avoid him, making ridiculous excuses not to see him as well as not stepping foot in the clubhouse. Nevertheless he would still try to get in contact with her.
"Hey what's up? I've been trying to call you for 2 hours. Where are you?"
"Sorry, I was working. Had to work some extra hours these past few days and today was no exception."
"Are you at work now? I can come pick you up... go grab some lunch or whatever you're up for."
"I'm almost home now actually. And I'm pretty exhausted... we can arrange it for some other time though."
"I just wanted to talk to you" Jax said quietly.
"About what?"
"I- I don't know... I feel like I haven't seen you in forever. Just wanted to catch up with you."
"I'm sorry Jax..." She couldn't say anything further.
"Can I come over at least?"
"I... um... sure, okay."
God damn it (Y/N) you really need to learn how to say no.
When Jax arrived at her house he hugged her the second he stepped in. The warmth his body emitted as well as his cologne made her knees feel weak.
"What's up babe?" he asked her as he saw the sad expression on her face.
Oh I've just been avoiding my best friend for a week because he showed me that the only reason he'd ever kiss me is to show other men that they shouldn't be fucking with his 'possessions'.
"I'm a little tired. I had been working for hours."
"Shit, I'm sorry... How about that movie we were talking about the other day?" he had his hand on her cheek, "to get your mind off things, huh?" His husky voice and caring attitude made him even harder to resist.
"I was planning on having an early one tonight actually... and my head is killing me, I-"
"You know if you didn't want me to come over you could've just told me" he interrupted her before sighing. "Why are you doing this? You've been avoiding me for days for Christ's sake."
The truth is he obviously knew that her behaviour had changed after the party. He just wanted her to admit it, but when she didn't say a word he had to bring it up himself.
"Was... was me kissing you that bad?" he asked frustrated. "That bad that you have to avoid me without even giving me an explanation?"
She was pretty shocked that he actually took the conversation there.
"We could at least talk about it, you know... not have me trying to guess why it bothered you so much and why we're not even talking to each other all of a sudden" he said with a raised voice.
"I'm sorry Jax... I didn't mean to-" was the only thing she was capable of saying when she realised that she wasn't exactly ready to tell him that the only reason she was angry was the fact that this kiss meant nothing to him. Her eyes started watering.
"The last few days have been hell for me... with the club and my mom and Clay... and the only person I know that always has my back, that I can always turn to, has been avoiding me for a week. If- if I knew you'd hate me for it... a-and what your reaction would be, I would've never done it. I would've never kissed you." He scoffed. "I didn't know this would be the worst thing imaginable for you." The anger in his voice infuriated her as well.
"You really don't fucking get it, do you?" Her stomach was in a knot as she was trying to find the right words to speak. "Good damn it Jax... I just... I didn't want to kiss you under... these circumstances" she said in-between pauses, still not making herself 100% clear.
"You kissed me just because you didn't like that someone was flirting with your 'girlfriend' in front of you. Just to claim back your territory. Like I'm some fucking object."
"What's that supposed to mean? Our goal was to piss the guy off. And we did just that, what's your fucking point?"
"I didn't want our first kiss to be under those circumstances Jax" she spoke even louder than him. He froze when he realised what she had just said. His eyebrows were still furrowed but this time with worry and not anger.
"I just hoped that it could mean something to you" she was calm now, "but it didn't. And that... that's fine. I was just trying to distance myself in order to sort my thoughts out."
"I never told you what it meant to me. I..." he sighed deeply and looked down, unable to continue speaking. The silence was deafening.
"Jax, we've been avoiding... this... for a whole lot of reasons" she said referring to their complicated relationship. "I think it's better if it stays as it is and I know that so do you, I was just... a little surprised when it happened. That's all. And I know that avoiding you was not right, I'm sorry, but that shit hurts, okay? and distancing myself was the only thing that made sense to me."
"Well, finding an excuse to kiss you was what made sense to me. And doing it with the safety net that we're just 'pretending' felt like it might could've hurt less."
"Well, it didn't."
Summary: Jax and (Y/N) go on a mission together but things go south and Jax gets injured.
"We're just gonna have to break in, search his computer and copy the files we want in our disc" Jax said yet again, trying to convince (Y/N). "You're gonna be the tech expert of the operation, in case the computer has a password or the files are encrypted or, you know, all this IT nerdy stuff you're into."
Breaking into one of Jacob Hale's businesses and hacking into his computer really didn't sound appealing to her. Yet she was still there negotiating with Jax Teller.
"Why can't Juice do 'all these nerdy stuff'?" she complained.
"He's out of town for the next 3 days. And this is urgent. This is happening now. I'm not letting anything happen to you. I promise."
Teller yet again with all his promises, she thought.
"I'm not breaking in anywhere, I don't wanna get fucking arrested."
"I'm the one breaking in, don't worry. I just need you for the technology part" he teased her.
"This is not funny Jax, I-"
"I'll meet you by the bikes, 11pm sharp. Be there" he interrupted her while winking and pacing towards the door, leaving her no room to refuse.
(Y/N) hated how he would always get his way just because of 'his long blonde hair and pale blue eyes and cheeky grin and perfect greek-god-like body and smooth comebacks and-'. Yeah, she hated that. And she hated this 'cocky arrogant asshole'.
"Thought you said 11pm sharp, where have you been? I've been waiting for 15 minutes asshole" (Y/N) said while Jax was approaching her by his bike, coming from the clubhouse. He then proceeded to put his helmet on.
"Sorry darling I... I've been busy" he spoke while smirking at the croweater that was now walking by them, exiting the Teller-Morrow garage.
"I'm doing something I don't even want to, helping you, with your illegal shit, for your club and you stand me up to get your fucking dick wet."
"You know, sex can really help you loosen up... and relax... you should really try it too sometime."
"Fuck you Teller" she exclaimed while turning around, ready to leave him by his bike.
He was quick to grab her arm. "Hey, hey, I'm sorry- ok- I'm sorry. Sorry for being late. Won't happen next time" he winked.
When he got on his bike he gestured with his head, inviting her on as well. "Now get on, we have a business to break into."
Walking slow, having second thoughts, (Y/N) headed towards the bike and sat behind him, regretting this poor decision already.
"Can you hurry up? Someone could see us. They could call the police. I can't get arrested, Jax hurry up" (Y/N) was whispering frightened while pacing up and down in the cold late-night breeze.
"You know, walking up and down and talking all the time is neither gonna open this door quicker or help us stay low-key."
"Okay, okay I'm gonna shut up" she mumbled, paranoid while looking around nervously.
A few minutes after more failed attempts of Jax trying to pick the door with his tools, he sighed in frustration, shutting his eyelids.
"If we're not in by the next 5 minutes I'm fucking shooting that lock."
"What happened to staying low-key?" she found the motivating to tease him once again.
He didn't say anything back since the angry unamused look she gave her was more than enough.
He didn't even have the time to turn his eyes back to the door when a deafening sound filled their ears.
Everything happened in seconds. Turning around. Seeing an army of guys with hoods on. Guns in their hands, held tight. Jax yelled. She couldn't make out what he said exactly. Perhaps something along the lines of "Get down". That's probably what it was since he put his arms around her quickly and tackled her to the ground. He was covering her. His body vulnerable to the countless of bullets that were being shot at their direction.
When everything quieted down and the mysterious men run away, the silence was deafening after the loud shots that were fired prior. Still shocked, (Y/N) could feel something between her body and the weight of Jax covering her. It was blood. She looked at her now red hand and slowly turned her head to look at Jax.
"Ah, shit, shit..." he grunted while on his knees, both his hands pressing on the side of his lower abdomen.
They were both still on the ground when Jax couldn't help but lie down completely.
The seconds that (Y/N) took to take in the image in front of her felt like days. Then, her head still blurry from the shock, it finally hit her. Jax had been shot.
"Jax, shit... are you okay? shit" she blurted out, not knowing what to do.
His only response was yet another grunt and pain written all over his face.
She took off her hoodie and pressed it over his injury, not caring about staying in just the t-shirt she was wearing underneath in the cold of the night. "Jax, no, I- You'll be ok. I promise. You'll be fine" she added trying her hardest not to let the tears that were filling her eyes run down her cheek. "I'm calling an ambulance, I-"
"No... I can't go to the hospital. C- Call the guys."
In seconds (Y/N) was already talking to Chibs on the phone. Once she hung up she couldn't fight back the tears anymore as she saw her hoodie on his wound being already soaked in blood.
"They're on their way, okay? Stay with me Jax, stay with me" she cried out. With one hand on his wound and the other on the side of his head, she was inches away from his face as he was breathing heavily.
"I'm here babe, I'm here. I'm okay" he said quietly while putting his hand on her cheek.
"How is he?" (Y/N) asked Juice as she saw him walking towards the bar in the clubhouse after exiting Jax's room.
"He's okay. Chibs just got the bullet out. Said he's got it under control so he let me go. The bullet didn't hit any organs. He... he was lucky."
Her eyes started watering once again, not knowing if it was tension being released or guilt. She couldn't bare the thought of 'luck' being the main factor for the fact that he was alive right now. As she covered her face with her hands Tig put an arm around her. She turned to face his body and cried on his chest.
"Shhh... It's okay sweetheart", he soothed her, "You did so good... It's okay. Everything's okay now." No sound in the room for a while apart from (Y/N)'s sobs.
"He tackled me to the ground. He was covering me. He could have died because of me."
"This is not your fault baby."
For some reason, Tig's words made her cry even harder instead of making her feel better.
"Who even were these people? Why would they do that?" she cried out.
"Probably Darby's guys. Hale's got them to protect his property. Probably got something on them. He doesn't want the public to know that he's associated with gangs though... so they wanted it to seem like a random shooting; just some beef between gangs. That's probably why they ran away."
Tig was running his fingers up and down her back trying to calm her down when she turned around to face Juice again.
"Can I go see him?" she asked him while wiping the tears on her cheek with the back of her hand.
"Um, sure, I think. Chibs is just cleaning up the wound now."
She nodded and started walking towards Jax's dorm. She took a deep breath and opened the door.
She saw a shirtless Jax laying on his bed, pain written all over his face as Chibs was cleaning up his injury. He was bearly conscious.
"Hey" she said softly as her hand was resting on the door frame. "How is he?"
"He's okay now. Took the bullet out and gave him some painkillers. I'm just cleaning it up now."
"I... I can take on from here. If you're tired, I mean" she said awkwardly and Chibs sensed her need to stay alone with him.
"Aye, ok love. Clean it up some more and then gauze him up, will you?"
She nodded as he took of his plastic gloves and threw them away.
"I'll be out if you need me."
Soon they were left alone. (Y/N) put another pair of plastic gloves on and sat next to him on the bed, facing him. As she started cleaning up the wound Jax flinched from the stinging pain.
"I'm sorry. It has to get cleaned up" she mumbled.
He nodded, his eyebrows still creasing up.
"I'm sorry I brought you into this shit" he said finally. "It was too dangerous... and stupid."
She didn't know how to respond so she let a deep sigh do all the talking.
After a while her eyes started watering up again. "You saved me Jax. You... you could've-" she couldn't even say the word in front of him. She couldn't even bare the thought. Someone dying because of trying to save her.
"This is not your fault (Y/N)" he spoke softly as he watched a tear run down her cheek. "Non of this would've happened if I didn't ask you to come. I should have waited for Juice to get back... or find someone else. I'm so sorry."
She was at a loss for words yet again as she shook her head. "Are you ok now? Feeling any better?" she said after a while.
"Yeah... are you ok?"
"Yeah I- my arm hurts a bit from falling to the ground. I kind of have a headache. Probably from the shock" she mumbled feeling guilty that she got away with just that.
"You know what I mean (Y/N)."
She did and just didn't want the talk to go this route. He was talking about the mental toll this would have on her. She wasn't used to this life. She was never a part of it. She was just a friend of the club that accidentally got into one of their many shenanigans and happened to be at the worng place the wrong time.
"I'm fine Jax. I mean, you got shot, I shouldn't be complaining here" she said looking down.
"My wound's gonna heal... and fade. But this- this must've been traumatic for you. Could stay with you forever. This could harm someone more than a bullet ever could."
"I'm just glad we're both okay" she said softly and he nodded.
"You know, I prefer this version of you. Taking care of me, being kind 'n' all. You haven't even called me Teller yet. Don't spoil me like that cause I might start thinking that you can actually tolerate me" he joked after a few moments of silence to lighten up the mood.
"Don't get too excited Teller" she smirked. "Especially when I'm cleaning up your wounds."
He groaned in pain as soon as she finished her sentence. Once the pain went away he started laughing, making (Y/N) laugh as well as if it was contagious. Her eyes were glued at his wound, not knowing how she'd feel seeing him smile genuinely like that.
"You know, I prefer this version of you as well. Not a cocky, self-centred asshole. Well at least that was the case until you started saying that I can tolerate you."
"Your reaction seemed pretty intense to me when you realised I got hurt. You seemed pretty desperate for someone that apparently can't stand me" he teased her.
"Mhm, that's what witnessing someone getting shot does to you."
"Yeah, yeah, you keep telling yourself that."
At this point she had put the gauze over his injury and had taken off her plastic gloves that were now on the bedside table.
"You should get some rest" she told him as she was about to stand up. "I'll-"
"No, no... don't go. Stay with me." He put his hand on hers, nearly making her gasp in shock, as they maintained eye contact.
"I... I'm glad you're okay" she said after a while.
He nodded as he was looking at her with loving eyes.
"And I'm glad you didn't get hurt. I don't even know what I'd do if something happened to you. Especially since you were there because of me. I wouldn't be able to live with that (Y/N)." The sad expression on his face not fading for even a second.
"Wow, I really do like this version of you way better" she joked since the atmosphere was heading towards the unhappy side again.
"Is this your way of telling me you like me?" he smirked.
"Maybe."
The next thing they both knew was that they were leaning into eachother. It happened so naturally. As if they felt that this was meant to happen. That it was inevitable. His lips lightly brushed against hers and it felt like a million butterflies were released in her stomach. With his hand holding the side of her head he pulled away leaving them both wanting more.
Summary: Tig and (Y/N) are fuck buddies but start developing feelings for eachother. Suddenly seeing (Y/N) a little too close to Jax makes Tig finally confess his feelings to her.
The sunshine leaked through the blinds, waking (Y/N) up. Tig's face squished on the pillow the first thing she saw as she lifted her eyelids; a lovely sight to say the least, as much as she didn't want to admit it. She rubbed her face all tired, a quick sigh exiting her mouth. She slowly lifted the sheet that was covering her and got up as quietly as possible trying not to wake Tig up. No one likes the awkward morning after a hookup, especially these two. Their 'relationship' was pretty complicated, odd, weird, however you wanna call it. They were hooking up every now and then, and that's what it was supposed to be; just sex. Casual sex. But as time went on these so-called hookups were becoming even more frequent and even more passionate. They knew they were not 'together' though. They wouldn't go on dates. They wouldn't do 'couple' things. But the kind of passion they shared in bed and the deep conversations they had during these late nights, were moments even some 'couples' hadn't experience. Neither of them wanted to ask the other about where their 'relationship' was standing, in fear of being perceived as the person that agreed to just hook up from time to time and ended up catching feelings. She was constantly seeing him take croweaters to his dorm. He was afraid of commitment. Yet they would turn red from anger when they saw eachother with someone else, the jealousy eating them up.
She looked around his messy dorm in order to find her clothes that were thrown around the previous night. She found her jeans along with her underwear on the floor by the bed and her t-shirt on the other corner of the room. She quickly used the bathroom, washed her face and put her clothes on before she approached the door in order to leave. As her hand reached the doorknob she took a deep breath and turned around. The image of naked Tig on the messed up sheets, limbs spread and curls wilder than ever, making her smirk. She exited the room and headed to the main area of the clubhouse where Jax, Chibs and Bobby were sitting having a chat.
"Do you sleep anywhere else besides the clubhouse?", Jax teased her before he let out a chuckle.
"Yeah, Tig's house", Chibs was quick to add to the teasing as well.
"Good morning to you too guys."
"Aren't you supposed to be helping Gemma?" Bobby asked her, since she was working part-time in the office.
"I have a late shift today. I'm coming by again in a few hours. And speaking of that I need a ride home. I'm too tired to walk."
"Tiggy's got you all worn out huh?", Chibs asked sarcastically. Almost everyone knew of the whole situation with her and Tig so the teasing was something that happened quite frequently.
She rolled her eyes and started walking towards the door in silence when she heard Jax: "Okay, okay wait up you brat". He slowly stood up and tapped his hand on the bar. "I'll take you home." The infamous Teller smirk appeared on his pretty face after he nodded goodbye to his brothers. He approached her and put an arm around her shoulder but she was still frowning, her arms crossed below her chest. "Just because you're giving me a ride home doesn't mean I forgive you". He laughed. "You're also giving me a ride at six before my shift starts."
________
"Thanks again for the ride Jackie boy, I owe you." (Y/N) was at TM again for her 6pm shift.
"Oh yeah you do." Jax said while tapping on his cheek with his index finger, a playful grin across his face. Her full lips kissed his cheek and then she smiled widely. "My favourite biker."
"Your favourite is actually sitting..." he searched with his eyes, "... right over there." He pointed at Tig sitting at the picnic tables with most of the other guys.
"Yup, halfsack's way better than all of you assholes." she said sarcastically, since both of them knew how much she craved Alexander "Tig" Trager. They were both heading towards the office now.
"I was hoping you'd actually argue and say that I'm your favourite, you bitch."
"You're a close... third."
The blond biker started laughing but stopped as he realized she wasn't.
"Wait seriously? What?"
Her laugh only now kicking in.
"Considering my favourite guy treats me like I'm some whore, being number three means you should really step up your game Jackie."
They were somewhat close to the picnic tables now so they both waved at the other bikers. A bitter smile on (Y/N)'s face since Tig was on his phone, not even looking up to face her. Jax walked with her to the office in silence, his hands in his pockets. They got in, (Y/N) pressed the button to turn on the computer and sat on the chair while Jax sat on the leather couch after closing the door behind him. He noticed the sad look on her face.
"Don't be like that babe."
"How am I supposed to be then Jax? He didn't even look at me. Did you see that?"
"I noticed... yeah" his voice quiet.
"How can I be so stupid? The guy treats women like they're some toys. Like they're nothing but pussy. Why did I ever think it would be different for me? Why do I keep doing this to myself?" She had grabbed a pen and was tapping it on the desk repeatedly.
"I'm not gonna be the judge of how he treats women... but... he likes you (Y/N). He does. You know that. We all do."
"You don't fuck other people when you like someone."
"He treats you differently. We all see it. Not like you're some croweater. You know, the way he protects you... and talks about you... I've never seen him like this. He also does that annoying thing people in love do; trying to find a reason to talk about the other person all the time. He manages to bring you up in every conversation. Seriously, I love you but it's getting annoying."
She laughed bitterly. "He's not in love, Jax."
"Are you?"
"I don't know... For now I just know that I like him. A lot."
Silence for a while.
"Just talk to him straight. Tell him what it is that's bothering you. Talk things out. Maybe you're on the same page here but the miscommunication has perplexed things a little."
"What would I do without you?" she said as a joke because she was too afraid to admit it wasn't one.
"You'd be a total mess" he got up and hugged her while she was still sitting on the chair. "Well... more of a mess than you are now."
She hit his stomach playfully and then he smiled and headed to the door.
"Come say hi before you leave ok?"
She nodded with a cute smile on her face.
A few tiring hours later she locked the office door and started walking to the clubhouse heaving second thoughts. She didn't want to see him but she also obviously did. You know, he was an asshole but he was her asshole. As she walked in she saw the bikers sitting on couches, stools and chairs. The asshole in the corner of the room talking to Chibs. She was torn between wanting to to talk to him, just like Jax said, and trying not to give a fuck and have some drinks with the other guys. She decided she couldn't deal with him, at least for now.
"(Y/N)!" some of them shouted cheerfully. They offered her a beer and Happy offered her his seat. She sat on his bar stool and Happy stood next to her, his arm around her shoulder. She tried to enjoy her time with her friends and ignore Tig on the other side of the room. Whatever it was him and Chibs were talking about it seemed pretty serious. He looked miserable, gulping his beer like there's no tomorrow. She thought that maybe today wasn't the right day to have that talk with him. Instead she tried to focus on having fun. Besides it's what these guys know how to do best.
Half an hour had passed. (Y/N) and the other bikers were laughing loudly now while the Scotsman and Tig were still chatting by themselves.
"I just don't understand why you don't talk to her."
"I told you it's not that simple man" the blue-eyed biker said as he rubbed his temple.
"Tiggy's scared of some pussy."
"Shut up I'm not scared. And she's not just some pussy"
"I know she's not. I just said that to get to you... and you also proved my point."
"What point smart ass?" Tig asked while sipping his beer.
"That she's important to you lad. She's not just someone you happen to shag now and then."
Their conversation was interrupted by (Y/N)'s laugh that was heard from across the room. Jax was once again teasing her as they were play-fighting because he wanted to take a sip of her drink. They were both laughing, (Y/N) pushing him playfully.
"They've been like that for days." Tig was fuming.
"Who?"
"Her and Jax."
"Yeah what about them?" Chibs asked completely oblivious.
"They're constantly flirting and laughing in front of me." He got even angrier with the Scotsman's second question.
"She's laughing with her friend. Shocker."
"Laughing... and teasing each other... and he gave her a ride here in the evening."
"I'm really trying to understand what the problem is here brother. They're friends."
He didn't say anything back. He brought his beer to his lips with his right hand. His left thumb was fighting with his fist. He was getting angrier by the minute. Jax's arm around her waist was the last straw. He unconsciously banged his fist on the table as he stood up with a fast motion.
"What are you doing brother?" Chibs blurted out all worried.
"I'm just having a talk." he said looking straight at the target.
Chibs was quick to stand up and grab Tig's bicep.
"Stop it you fuckhead, you're drunk. Don't say anything you'll regret."
With a quick motion Tig's arm was set free from his brother's tight grip.
He walked towards the bar, eyes glued on (Y/N)'s back.
"Can I have a word with you?" It was supposed to be a question but it sounded more like a command. It was the combination of his serious tone, the look in his eyes and his tight grip on her arm above her elbow.
"Sure" she said confused as she climbed off the stool she was sitting on.
She followed him to his dorm and closed the door behind her. During those seconds that felt like hours she thought of all the possible things he might have wanted to say to her. Being horny from all the alcohol and needing a quick fuck, confessing his undying love to me, asking for my opinion on-
Her internal monologue was interrupted by the tall man standing in front of her.
"Why are you doing this?" his voice a little too loud than usual.
"What are you talking about?"
"Being all flirty and gross with your bud out there."
"Wha- Flirty?" she was really trying to stay calm.
"Don't act like you don't understand. You and Jax."
"What are you on Trager? We're just friends. You know that. And why should I even explain myself?. Besides I sould be the one that's angry. You've been ignoring me all day."
"I'm sorry I don't wanna see you all up on someone else's dick all day."
"Are you jealous Tiggy?" her tone was mean on purpose.
"I'm not jealous. You can go do whatever and whoever you want just not all up in my face... and not involving any club members. You're not some croweater or whatever."
"Oh aren't I now? Last time I checked that's how you've been treating me."
"We just fuck every now and then. We agreed to this. You agreed to this. What were you expecting? Some special treatment? Breakfast in bed and morning cuddles?"
"No but I wasn't expecting you controlling who I fucking talk with either."
He was quiet so she continued:
"You're being ridiculous. You're mad at me for talking to a friend while you're banging different craweaters every night... and you're making sure that I'm aware of it."
He didn't respond yet again.
"But I forgot that apparently you own me or something."
"It's not the same. The croweaters and Jax. They are croweaters; that's what they're supposed to do. Jax is my brother; seeing you all up on each other isn't exactly ideal. Laughing and flirting and riding his bike together.", he yelled.
"I rode his bike not his dick, you asshole."
"Oh are you sure about that? What were you doing locked up in the office earlier? you fucking whore."
She froze at the sound of the last word. Her look hit him harder than any slap ever could. She shook her head while her eyes started getting watery. She couldn't say anything. She didn't want to say anything. He immediately realised what he had done.
"Hey I'm sorry, I didn't-"
She didn't let him finish his sentence. She just turned around, stormed off and banged the door shut behind her. He knew there was no use in trying to follow her and apologize. She was too angry, rightfully so. He rubbed his face and kicked the door in frustration. He sat on the bed, head buried in his arms.
The next day, dozens of missed calls and voicemails later, Tig decided to drop by her house.
"I'm sorry I'm showing up like this... I... You were not picking up and I was worried." He was trying to find the right words standing by the door.
"The possibility that I might not want to talk to you didn't even cross your mind?"
He sighed and once again tried to find the right words: "You don't have to talk to me... Just listen. I have some explaining and apologizing to do. And you don't have to forgive me... just listen to me."
A few seconds later she moved to the side as a sign telling him to come in. She closed the door after he got in and followed him inside. They sat on the couch, Tig once again at a loss for words since her scent was all up in the air.
"I'm so sorry. I'm so deeply sorry... You don't have to forgive me... I just want to say all the things I've wanted to say to you for so long and... and whether you kick me out of here or not is up to you doll."
She was trying her hardest not to smile at his joke at the end as well as hearing the word doll once again. She couldn't hold a grudge against him and that was the worst part.
"I shouldn't have gotten mad... and yell at you... and call you...", he didn't even want to say the word again, "yeah... I'm sorry. I don't have the right to tell you who you can and can't sleep with."
"We didn't sleep together." she said quietly, looking at her hands and then back at his blue eyes.
"I know baby. I believe you", his hand on both of hers now. "I'm just saying that... even if you did, I wouldn't have the right to be mad... I'm just projecting my insecurities on everyone I see around you. Because they're younger and fitter and more attractive-"
"Tig this isn't-"
"No baby, listen to me..." He sighed and continued after he took his hand away from hers.
"This thing between us... it has to stop."
Her heart dropped. Being fuck buddies wasn't exactly ideal but the thought of never being intimate again with him killed her.
"The truth is that I can't bare the thought of you being with someone else, so if I can't have you all to myself I'd rather not have you at all. I'm tired of feeling like this. It's... it's the healthy thing to do."
She was shocked at his words.
"What?"
"I know making a hard choice that's actually the best for my mental state is not really my thing but I want to try it for a change." he said sarcastically with sad eyes.
"You can have me all to yourself...", she said after a while with a smirk, "...well, as long as you get to be all mine as well."
Summary: When (Y/N) tells the Sons she wants to work at Cara Cara they think she means as a porn actress.
(Y/N) was so excited to finally be at the clubhouse again after a busy week of not seeing the guys and Gemma. She was like family to them and they all missed her when she wasn't able to visit them often. As she walked into the garage she saw Jax and Opie sitting at the picnic tables having a conversation, before they both looked up to see her. A warm smile immediately lit up her face as she got closer to them giving them both a tight hug.
"Hey guys. I feel like I haven't seen you in forever" she whined, dragging the last word.
"I don't think that's our fault" Jax said teasing her and making her giggle.
"Shut up you know I'm busy", she began trying to justify why she hadn't seen them in over a week. "How have you guys been?"
They had been talking for a while, telling her all their news about their club business, the other guys and their families, before she got up and announced that she'll head to the clubhouse to greet the other guys too. Jax and Opie started following her inside as well, when they heard her squeal in excitement as she saw most of the other guys sitting at the bar and the couches. She lifted her arms up with a smile and gave everyone a warm hug while they were all greeting her with excited screams like little kids. Soon she was sitting at one of the stools by the bar.
"To what do we owe this honour, beautiful?" Tig asked with a sarcastic tone.
"You guys act like I don't work a 9 to 5 job, 5 days a week, and that's without the extra hours."
"Those 'extra hours' are getting a little too frequent, don't you think? Do you want us to have a few words with that fucker boss of yours?", Chibs questioned her trying not to sound too serious even though he knew they would actually do that for her if she agreed to.
"There's no need to..." she replied with an awkward smile on her face before she continued, "I confronted him..."
"Oh god..." Juice sighed, knowing you could get pretty intimidating while arguing with someone. The other guys laughed.
"No it's not like that. I was polite... at first."
"I can help you bury the body if you haven't taken care of that yet." Happy winked at her making everyone burst into laughs once again.
"Motherfucker's alive and well. I'm the one that would rather be buried right now."
Everyone's weird, confused looks and raised eyebrows made her clear up her last statement: "I got fired is what I'm trying to say here."
"Okay guys let's go, I hope you're all carrying" Bobby joked.
"I mean, I hated the job but it paid well. And now I have to look for a new one and I've been so anxious the last few days." she said after a while desperately.
"You could help at one of our businesses, if that works for you babe" Tig said concerned.
"Work with you? As what? Testing your guns and coke?" she raised her eyebrow.
"Don't act like you don't know we're going legit babe" Jax said with a smirk, putting his arm around her shoulders.
"He seriously asked her to work at the porn studio guys, start running." Chibs exclaimed.
(Y/N)'s confused facial expression turned into a frown of concentration. "Wait, actually that's not a bad idea... I could do that, I think. I mean if you guys want to of course."
More confused looks filled the room.
"It's not that we don't think you're... qualified... we just... are you sure you want to do this?" Juice paused every once in a while, trying to find the right words.
"Yeah. I mean working for a porn studio isn't exactly the thing to add to your resume but I don't care. It can be long-term and I hope you guys pay good, you know I have experience."
"This is different (Y/N). It's professional." Juice talked again. A worried expression on her face now.
"As much as we would all love to see you dressed up as a sexy schoolgirl with a short skirt and glasses fucking your classmates, we want to protect you... you have to think more about this. Seriously." Jax said, being the overprotective friend that he is.
A smile accompanied with a loud laugh replaced the forwn on her face.
"You guys are fucking idiots." The confusion around her reaching its peak.
"I don't wanna be a porn actress." she couldn't even finish her sentence, still laughing. "I wanna work at the office. You know, the financial department."
"Ohhhhhh..." everything finally made sense to the Sons.
"I'm very flattered that you actually considered it though." (Y/N) joked.
"Why didn't you say something? What the fuck were we supposed to think?" Jax chuckled.
"I thought it was obvious you idiots. You know, I have a little thing called an economics degree... and a few years of experience." she said with a tone of irony.
"You have more years of experience with-"
"JAX!" she cut him off and all the guys laughed.
"It's a deal then!" Tig said all excited. "If you change your mind though and want to work in front of the camera you just have to tell us." he winked.
"Yeah totally. We have this new idea for a movie. I think you'd be perfect for it. Hope you're into bondage." Juice said sarcastically and (Y/N) rolled her eyes.
"You're gonna have to go through a casting process though. I'm the casting director, just so you know." Bobby laughed, making everyone chuckle.
"That's it I'm leaving." she threatened them.
"Relax, relax. We're joking.", Jax said, his arm still around her.
"I'd be the one responsible for the casting if you came for an audition."
