Okay, head’s up. This little critter is called a slow loris. NEVER TAKE ONE AS A PET. They’ve experienced a boom in popularity as pets in parts of Asia and then the rest of the world, and this is not okay. 

Why?

A) They’re endangered

B) They’re venomous. The only known venomous primate, to be exact. They store it in their inner arms.They’ll get in defensive posture, suck the venom from their glands, and them bite. And the bite can kill a human. (Seriously, one nipped Lady Gaga in Feb 2014 when she thought it would be a good idea to use one in a music video. They dropped that idea, thankfully.)

C) They’re endangered directly BECAUSE OF THE EXOTIC PET TRADE

D) When the poachers trap them, THEY CLIP THEIR FUCKING TEETH TO MAKE THEM “MANAGEABLE.” Many slow loris’ will die before ever being sold because of complications with HAVING THEIR FUCKING TEETH CLIPPED. (There’s a reason the loris’ in the videos are only eating soft foods…)

E) The exotic pet trade on slow loris’ BOOMed because of youtube videos like the one above.

This will probably end up on the server, so I’ll say this too: Just because I’m no longer there doesn’t mean that I don’t know what’s going on, there’s several people I know in the server itself so it’s not like I’m basing this on past experiences, it’s still happening and arguably getting worse. I won’t reveal them and they won’t reveal themselves, but it’s safe to say the more people you invite the more people become aware of how toxic and anti-artist your whole server and especially the owner is.

Boost - I’ve heard nothing but bad things from that Discord since it was created, and the things I’ve seen 100% support the notion that it’s an awful place and the people in it (especially the owner) are equally awful people.

I’ve seen shitting on artists work, begging for free art, harassing artists to share their WIPs and other works for free, hounding artists to join and not taking no for an answer, and more.

It’s a shitty place, and everyone would do well to avoid it and ensure you keep your uploads resized if you don’t wish the high res versions to be leaked - they abuse tumblrs automatic resizing to get fullsize images regardless of if the artist wanted them to be shared or not, plus patreon leaks and absolutely no repurcussions for the people who engage in the shitty behaviour to begin with.

Tl;dr: Avoid, spread the word, don’t let yourself or any of your artist friends suffer through that shithole.

Well, to be fair, that IS on you. Like your parents have probably told you at some point, they can’t read your minds.

People are actually more accepting of homosexuality as a whole in this day and age than you might think. If you told them, they may or may not like it, but that doesn’t mean they’ll stop loving and supporting you.

Before you consider funding this, please make sure you know that Double Fine is horrible with money. They ran out of funding for Broken Age despite it raising nearly ten times its goal, which delayed the game’s second part. Prior to this TIm Schaefer posted a series of photos like this:

Also Double Fine sold an early-access game SpaceBase DF-9 and then took it out of early access and sold it as a full game despite not having a Beta period or being completed.

And then last year before the holidays Double Fine laid off a dozen employees.  

I’d highly recommend not backing this project because giving this company money in exchange for anything less than a complete game that you get immediately once you pay for it is encouraging their irresponsible use of crowdfunding and poor budgeting.
