Time for the Ectoimplosion!!! I got teamed up with the wonderful @faeriekit. They wrote an absolutely amazing fic " Do Your Know Where Your Children Are" for the art.

I'm posting this because it's just too funny to imagine this man in front of the mirror for hours getting ready, he probably wears a mask and curls to sleep, I love him he's too sassy

This is such an interesting scene to me because when Spectra asks Danny what he is supposed to be he can't give her a proper answer. Instead he gives not a clear response and ends ups saying ¨I don't know¨.

And its worth of analysing since it shows that Danny has an identity crisis about his nature of being a halfa. He doesn't know to which world he belongs to- human or ghost. Spectra even suggests that he is a ¨ghost trying to fit with humans¨, something that Danny doesn't fully deny because again, he doesn't know what to answer.

It gets sadder when you think about how Danny sees himself as a ¨freak¨ due to being half ghost-half human. It isn't hard to see why: He is very unique in nature, probably something he believes that shouldn't exist in reality yet here he is.

It makes me kinda of sad that this concept wasn't explored further because it has so much potential for character arcs for Danny and exploring how he views himself as a halfa.

Danny Phantom is the best thing to write crossovers for because it can fit into almost anything and come out great.

It meshes with superhero stuff, magic and supernatural stuff, slice of life stuff, sci fi stuff, you got a different universe? Different time period? Boom, portal. You got different ghost rules? Well, Danny still makes sense because portals. Maybe his portal access makes him different.

You could make a crossover of Danny Phantom and anything from Phineas and Ferb, to The Black Cauldron, to Megamind and it would be great

The #DannyPhantom tag is so random it scares me in a pleasant way.

One day it can go from regular tag to #1 trending, surpassing Gravity Falls.

So here's a fun thought: Consider a situation in which LBM is NOT, in fact, a tiny Danny, but a mimic blob ghost that has adopted his image as a form of Batesian self defense. Then imagine Danny's reaction to seeing some fucked up little uncanny valley cat version of himself with zero warning or context.

Per Wikipedia: "Batesian mimicry is a form of mimicry where a harmless species has evolved to imitate the warning signals of a harmful species directed at a predator of them both."

one of my favorite ways to interpret the trio is that Sam and Tucker actually have the most shared dweeb interests meanwhile Danny is just Some Guy.

Sam and Tucker will unapologetically argue about anime characters and video game strats. They're experts in two completely separate fields of nerdom which can and WILL cause problems. they're in a constant state of having just the most niche ass nerd conversations you can imagine.

meanwhile Danny is just so painfully generic at times which belies the fact that he's really weird in a completely unhuman way (also the teen angst of hiding things about yourself you view as weird out of a desperate desire to be liked by the general populace)
