I try making a Sailor Moon AU for the Dreamworks ladies for the fun of it.

I recall seeing fan art of the Disney princesses depicted as Sailor Moon scouts (as in an actual AU), but I’ve never seen anyone do that with the Dreamworks woman yet either. So here’s my take on it, (and I have some story ideas) but keep in mind that I’m aware the personalities might not completely match up, these are the first five scouts, and I’m more familiar with the SM manga than either versions of the anime-

Astrid (How to train your Dragon)-Sailor Moon/Usagi- Ok, so this is where I said the personalities might not match up, but not only does Astrid have some physical similarities to Usagi, but they both are determined, compassionate gals and have connection to being part of Royalty one way or another. Also Astrid is one of the few Dreamworks ladies who has a daughter *hint hint* and it’d be interesting to have a more serious version of SM.

Tip (Home)-Sailor Mercury/Ami-it was either Tip or Roxanne for this one, but I decided on Tip since she’s very studious, though I admit she’s not as shy as Ami. (So yeah, another difference in personality here). Also if the version of Astrid we are using is a teenager, than there is someone on the team close to her age. And maybe they go to the same school together.

Tigeress (Kung Fu Panda)-Sailor Mars/Rei-So for this, everyone could be human to make this AU work, but considering who I’m using for Venus... anyway I see many similarities between the two, especially when it comes to the manga. Plus neither of them are interested in romance which is a great bonus. (And if she was human, I’d see her as a bit on the muscular side).

Edith (Captain Underpants)-Sailor Jupiter/Makoto-I HAVE to use my fav in this AU somehow, dang it, so don’t you deny me this! (Even though I know someone is telling me I should use someone else). But they both like making food and they both come across as odd/intimidating on first glance, but they’re just sweethearts. (And to my fellow CU fandom, yes I do have a lot of interesting ideas about using her in this AU).

Fiona (Shrek)-Sailor Venus/Minako-Venus represents love, and Fiona’s storyline involves love and how it can come to anyone regardless of who they are or appear to be. And Venus is a leader, which Fiona also is (also, I’m aware that maybe she (or Poppy) should be Moon, but there was an interesting mental image that made me change my mind). She could stay as a human in this AU, but if Tigeress shouldn’t be a human than maybe not. (or maybe they both turn into their usual forms as scouts? IDK)

For Artemis and Luna, I’m severely torn because there’s so many options. Like Jack and Tooth (Rise of the Guardians) or if you wish to keep the cat theme, there’s Puss and Kitty (Shrek/Puss in Boots).

????-Tuxedo Mask/Mamoru–You already know the answer to this... don’t worry, he’s still got his pal with him for this AU, because this AU wouldn’t be a word-for-word adaption due to the potential craziness.

(Before anyone is worried about getting any interesting mental scaring, no I’m not using who you probably thought I was going to use for the generals.)

Other than that, I am struggling a bit with the outer sailor scouts because I have some ideas, but I haven’t officially made a decision yet.
