Vice President Kamala Harris made an appearance on tonight’s episode of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE alongside Maya Rudolph
The American people want to stop the chaos. And end the dramala.
Pedro Pascal as Mario in SNL’s HBO Mario Kart (The Last of Us Parody)
It was only today that I found out that Ed Helms played a Two-Face parody/expy for SNL’s live action skit of ‘The Ambiguously Gay Duo’ and I’m wondering why I never heard of this before.
(So not only did he play a super villain BEFORE he got to play a superhero, but it was a parody/expy for a Batman villain that I find especially interesting. And to further the insanity I’m now remembering that Ed Helms ALSO sang ‘Kiss from a rose’ which is not only one of my favorite songs but was from a Batman film that Two-Face was also in).
Apparently I was watching an SNL skit on YouTube and posted about it on the day Ethan Winters was going through the village and facing Mother Miranda and the Four lords (Feburary 9, 2021)
He was going through hell. I was watching an ‘Ambiguously Gay Duo’ snl skit on YouTube.
Well that’s…. kind of awkward.
I would like to take this time before SNL starts to tell you all how much Elon Musk sucks. He's literally going to make a shit ton of money off of hosting; not only is he being paid to do it, but its projected the stocks in Tesla and Dogecoin will go up massively- effectively making him even richer than he already is.
Speaking of Dogecoin, cryptocurrency is literally polluting the Earth at alarming rates. It may be trendy to have, but the servers running it are literally putting out millions of megatons in carbon dioxide. Not only is Elon Musk polluting the Earth, but space too.
He sent a sports car into space, and for what? Because he could? He created more space junk, something that's already a decently large problem, just to show off how much money and technology he has. Not to mention the 1,300 satellites he's put in orbit, some of which are already no longer operational, plus he plans to send more to create something called starlink. But it's doing more damage than good, the satellites will create light pollution, causing a massive hit to astronomy and astronomical images, while continuing to create more space junk as well as "traffic jams" in orbit because of how many he's sending up. He has literally enlisted the help of famed car designer to design RC cars to race on the moon, they'll be sent to space in October.
Not to mention how he runs Tesla. The working conditions in Tesla factories are reportedly horrible. He's extremely anti union, going as far as to illegally threaten to take away stock options if his employees did unionize.
Tesla doesn't pay taxes, and now that Elon, SpaceX headquarters, as well as Tesla headquarters are going to be in Texas, he will save millions in taxes each year because Texas has no state income tax. Elon Musk is the second richest man, he is worth 164.2 billion dollars, and he's cheating the system so he doesn't have to pay taxes. Oh! And let's not forget when he said another stimulus check was a bad idea in July of 2020, in the middle of a fucking pandemic, while he was making 4.9 billion dollars in government subsidies. He's a piece of shit.
Someone needs to stop him before he does irreversible damage to our planet. I get that he thinks this is just some simulated world and he's doing no real damage, but that simply isn't true. So fuck Elon Musk, and fuck whoever decided to feed into this vanity project and let him host. He isn't an actor, nor a comedian, nor a singer; he's a billionaire who's effectively killing our Earth and he gets rewarded by hosting a comedy show. This just goes to show that if you have enough money you can do anything you want. I'd say I hope the episode tanks, but that wouldn't be fair to the writers and cast members who put their hearts and souls into each sketch.
I hate to say it, but some of the skits from that episode were hilarious. Though part of the reason was due to how much they were actually making fun of Elon Musk for his greed, the dogecoin stuff, and the idea of him getting involved with space.
The Mario Bros skit is still the best one because they made him play Wario- AKA a greedy, evil company owning villain who doesn’t really give a shit about the well being of others and is always only in it for the money.
I’m sure the writers took the opportunity to ensure the audience and the staff would get the last laugh over him.
I was expecting a boring episode of Saturday Night Live with Elon Musk as the host, but I admit that most of the skits have been amusing. (Even though he’s still probably not the best human being to walk the Earth).
However the Mario Bros skit is the best. Him as Wario is hilariously fitting and I don’t think he realizes how far the parallels go. (And there was Kate McKinnon as Waluigi for extra hilarity).
Also they did do a Mars colonization skit, so I guess he can take a joke unlike some people.
(On the other hand it was nice to see the cast members with their moms for Mothers Day).
Wasn’t expecting Captain Underpants to be mentioned on Saturday Night Live, but (unsurprisingly) it was mentioned during the Weekend update portion in regards to a certain spin off book ceasing publishing.
The joke regarding his name (basically ‘with a name like that, shouldn’t he be the one getting cancelled?) was funny, but I hope no one will take it as an actual challenge to try to cancel the actual book series. (Given its history with being banned and how long it’s lasted to the point of getting a film adaptation, all this did was give it another boost in interest.)
