daydreaming until my brain hurts

I am a female artist and an aspiring writer. I love video games (like the Legend of Zelda), anime, musical theater, etc. Sometimes I can focus too much on certain things.

Been awhile since I revisited this au. But ever since I said the Spanish speaking characters watch telenovelas together and get upset enough to destroy TVs, I had to draw it out. (Also, the Spanish was thanks to google translate. Obviously I do not speak Spanish.)

Alternatively: If you go to Eclipsa's castle during winter, you either hang out and talk, watch telenovelas and get too invested.... or just find a fireplace to fall asleep in front of and miss whatever happens next.

I hadn't forgotten the RE Village au... or the fact that I had to draw out the forms of those who ended up getting crystalized, because I have twisted sense of humor sometimes. Don't worry, everyone will get their original forms back later on.

For the (not so humorous) stories as to how the crystalized forms happened, read this post.

Yes... of all the characters I could have used to be the Chris Redfield equivalent for this au... it was none other than Perry the Platypus. Why?

Because it was funny, and I can't have Doof in this AU without putting Perry in it somewhere. (Also, you can tell that this was my first time drawing Perry.) Also, none of the members of his squad are human, so have fun trying to reimagine a lot of key scenes with that in mind.

Anyway, Doof is a meet-and-greet for Halloween at Disneyland right now, so that's what inspired these RE Village AU doodles.

Just thinking of when I was asked if there was a Shadows of Rose story in the RE village AU by @gennethapang

I did more thinking and I would have to say that I could see the role of Rose be shared by both Mariposa AND Meteora.

Like, they both end up in the last remaining conscious/dimension of the megamycete because Belos is trying a last ditch attempt at coming back to life to continue his work. Unfortunately for everyone, BILL is also in there too.

But I could see Meteora sharing some of Rose’s issues in a certain way and trying to come to terms with the events that she would barely recall as an infant. That she was the least human looking of the ‘daughters’ and thus the most looked down upon by ‘Belos.’ That she could have turned out horribly different had she not been so lucky to be surrounded by family both in blood and in name.

Meanwhile Mariposa is there for moral support. But maybe Belos has an eye on her for his own reasons.

But of course, both girls have to deal with the horrors that were experienced in the DLC. (And given who owns the house of Benevento equivalent, there’s some added amusement to the whole thing for me.) Cue lots of screaming, cursing, and hugging each other for dear life.

Also, I imagine Meteora was told about how much of a shit Bill was, so he’s none too happy to see that his favorite ‘niece’ isn’t as friendly to him as she was when she was a baby.

Avatar

The fact that two of @candyheartedchy's F/Os are in the Re Village AU was a really funny coincidence. I had this mental image of these two ending up in this love triangle with a new village resident, much to the amusement/concern of everyone else (Or at least it happened during a time when Bill was still around). I HAD to draw that out.

....Oh yeah, I used candyheartedchy's human design for Bill instead of the one I came up with a few drawings ago (though the outfit is different than the one in the original drawing she did). I don't think it really matters what his human design would be, so long as he keeps his canon form.

Additional notes for the Disney RE 8/Village au (super long list, FYI)

Regarding the village itself-

-The village is hidden somewhere in New England in a mountain/wooded region. Think of it as the East Coast version of Gravity Falls and you are on the right track.

-The village is slightly more modernized than the main source material, but it’s extremely difficult to move into the village. If you are part of the four houses, then you can’t leave.

-The village was once a safe haven for creatures and abnormalities (much like Gravity Falls) when the colonies started to form. This knowledge has now been regarded as pure myth as they have gone missing.

-The village is divided into domains/areas. The central area is where Belos’ church is located (though he has his own hideout somewhere hidden in the area. Most of the wealthier residents choose to live near Eclipsa’s castle, and it’s the nicer area of the village. The middle and lower classes are intermixed in the areas near the lake and the cemetery (though the bookshop can be found near the cemetery). Most farmers live and do their work in the fields near the factory.

-Speaking of which, a significant portion of the town’s income is through agriculture.

-A significant portion of the villagers believe Belos’ teachings. Another portion doesn’t, and this includes those who were not originally from the village.

-Living in the village isn’t too costly for the middle and lower class, but you are expected to stay for at least a year, and you cannot take pictures or videos and send them to the outside world. (Yeah, no social media allowed here.)

-There’s a specific system regarding punishments in the village where if you commit a crime on the property of a certain lord, they will subject you to a punishment of their choosing. At best they can be utterly humiliating, but if you commit an unspeakable crime? Yeah, you don’t want to know what happens but they can range from experimentation, mental scaring and trauma, to… well… some don’t survive the night.

-Also, if any harm comes to a family member of one of the lords–regardless of where it took place–the person who caused/tried to cause it will be horribly screwed.

Avatar

What are the opinions and dynamics of the lords to their nieces? Are some just indifferent?

Do some spoil them like a cool and or uncle would?

Avatar

Eclipsa–I think she likes all her nieces equally and they all admire her to some degree. However Vanessa is her favorite–she knew her the longest and I’m sure Vanessa saw Eclipsa as a bit of a role model growing up. (Eclipsa is open-minded, plays a bass guitar, and has that combo of elegance and coolness. How could you not love that?)

Scratch–He’s a bit indifferent to the girls and doesn’t have a favorite even if they think his abilities are actually pretty amazing. Honestly, he’s closer to Libby and Darryl through Molly compared to his ‘neices.’

Eda–She has her own reasons for liking each girl. But I think Molly might be her favorite because she reminds her of Luz a bit, that her optimism is admirable (even if it might be annoying at times), and that she made her ‘brother’ happy for once in his miserable life. (Plus, Eda had a hand in making sure Molly would survive the cadou treatment and wouldn’t get screwed over in the ‘lottery.’)

Doof–Only cares about his daughter. The other girls don’t harbor much respect toward him, though since I learned that he canonically knows Spanish awhile back, I think he and Luz got along just fine. (Also, I think he would have been indifferent about his ‘siblings’ getting seemingly killed off, but even he is disturbed by the possibility of his ‘nieces’ getting killed as well. He might not be the nicest of the four lords, but the man has standards.)

Interestingly, the one ‘uncle’ the girls all harbor a soft spot for is actually Globgor. He is just a genuinely nice person with cool powers and a good singing voice. Also, in this story, he has the same Mexican heritage as his VA (he was originally human before he mutated in this story, remember?) So not only does he speak Spanish here, that won over Luz and the two have conversed in Spanish a few times (and kept each other from getting rusty in their Spanish. She also talked about her mother and late father with him and he’s the only other adult ‘family member’ besides Eda that Luz is comfortable talking about in regards to this. She was also almost traumatized when she thought she lost another father figure in her life.)

When it comes to spoiling? I think they just give the girls gifts on their birthdays and around the holidays in order to keep a decent relationship amongst the houses (they aren’t super keen on giving each other gifts). Even then, they might be small gifts since they’d rather spoil their own ‘daughters’ which includes contraband from outside the village (by that, I mean books and any other entertainment that Belos wouldn’t approve of.) Though when it comes to formal events, I’m sure Eda and Eclipsa made sure the girls were able to get the best dresses the village tailors could make (or get from the outside world).

For privacy reasons, the exact birthdays are kept top secret as much as possible. The lords have mixed feelings about people sucking up to them around those times.

And of course–as stated before–when Bill was still around, he only liked Meteora and didn’t care for anyone else besides his underlings.

Avatar

The thing about that RE village AU is that, since three of the lords are single-plus Papa Titan-the au has slight potential to be like one of those dating games where you could choose one to date, with the added bonus of being LGBTQ friendly.

If I want it to be even funnier, it could be during a time when Bill was still around in the village, which bumps the number to 5. (Because I know how many would love to date the triangle).

(Eclipsa isn’t included since she’s already happily married. Belos isn’t included either because screw him-he doesn’t get any dates.)

Avatar

I admit that I spared Meteora and Luz from crystalization in the RE village au because crystalizing a baby was already traumatizing as is, and it made for sense for Luz to appear in the final fight since Belos is HER canon villain.

However, I can take joy in the fact that 1. Meteora is at least entrusted to Papa Titan–someone who (for a time) WOULD give her love and attention and WOULDN’T force her to look human, AND at she least has Mariposa in this scenario. (unlike what happened to Meteora in her first life in canon). Also 2. How hilariously fitting if Luz–as Eda’s adopted daughter and heir, and thus is technically a member of the Clawthrone family–was the ONE ‘daughter’ Belos was secretly hoping to kill, only for him to get the most epic heart attack when it turns out she lived, has titan DNA mixed with her cadou, and is allied with Star for the final fight? ALSO 3. Belos f***ed up in revealing to Star her own mutation/connection to the lords, so he has to deal with two ‘cousins’ who are angry and ready to beat his ass. As well as avenge countless lives to boot.

Yeah, he’d get so screwed. In the end, the Clawthrone family had a hand in his defeat and eventual death. Eda got her sweet revenge, just as planned.

Regarding crystalization in that Disney Resident Evil Village AU (God, I can’t believe I made that a thing. Mickey have mercy on me.)

-Quick refresher/in case you aren’t familiar with it-

In the games, crystalization occurs when an opponent is usually killed, calcified, and then their remains are turned into crystals. However, I’m going for the version that was used on Zoe and Rosemary where you aren’t killed, but you are turned into a crystal and can be resurrected.… as long as you have enough of yourself to be reformed. Of course, that’s not something our main bad guy is going to let people know, so a LOT of people are going to get traumatized in this story.

Ok, here we go…

-Pre Village-

-Bill Cipher (attempted, but failed)-Belos attempted to crystalize Bill numerous times, but given the MASSIVE cocktail of ingredients Belos used alongside the cadou for Bill, Bill was rendered immune. He found that hilarious and made sure to let Belos know. However, Bill managed to locate the megamycete and nab some of its powers for himself before he was taken out of the village…

Upon his death, his body was too far gone to be crystallized. It calcified almost instantly. (Kind of fitting, considering his fate in GF…) Yet, before he died, he decided to get some stealth revenge on Star by leaving a certain amount of mold within Marco…. And kept a secret from Star…

Dipper Pines–While Bill infected most of the Pines family (save Stan), he let Dipper try to help Star for a bit out of some amusement and to allow some false hope. However, the boy proved to be an actual threat, so Bill triggered the mold within Dipper. Because Bill didn’t have much mastery over it, Dipper was only partially crystalized and was able to keep a mostly human form. Still, it was enough to further piss off Stan and motivate him into saving his family.

–Before Star entered the village–

Marco Diaz–Was captured by Belos and brought to his church, not knowing that the mold buried within him was developing and growing stronger over time–and given that it came straight from Bill, the potential was near limitless. Belos knew he finally had his vessel, but he realized he would ensure two things in crystalizing Marco. One was that it would ensure the ceremony would be a success. Two was that Belos had a way to get rid of the four houses, so he gave the lords the flasks along with a warning–if the flasks left their grasp, they would be punished in a way they would not see coming. He separated the boy from his sister and thus crystalized him.

Purple clover for Meteora, for her club cheeks.

Luz for golden daisy, for her name means light, and to represent the first spell she learned, the light glyph.

Blue iris for Molly, something that could look like a ghost at a certain angle. Also, it’s blue like scratch’s ghost form.

Black rose for Vanessa…she just wears all black and a black rose is cool like her.

Avatar

You are correct, except the daisy is for Molly and the Iris is for Luz.

The clover seemed like a fitting choice for Meteora, given her cheekmarks having clovr leaves. Plus it turns out purple clovers are a symbolism of royalty (befitting a child who is basically a princess).

I've always associated the daisy with Molly. In addition to representing cheerfulness, they almost look like the flowers she makes in her wraith form from the show, and of course yellow represent joy and friendship.

Luz's flower was a challenge, but I picked the blue iris for its meanings (hope, trust, and valor). Also, since she has blue in her canon attire, I wanted to use a blue flower.

I saw that one of Vanessa's songs had her compare herself to a rose, so I picked that, but I chose a black rose since she wears it. And its fitting since black roses can represent mystery and elegance, and that seemed to match her (since Vanessa comes off as such on first glance).

What do the lords’ symbols or coat of arms look like?

What places do the lords live in? Does Eda live in a simple, run down hut?

Does doofunshmertznlive in a giant factory?

Avatar

-I’ve considered that, but at the same time, I think only Eda and Eclipsa’s family would have actual symbols, given how old the families are. I’ve considered representing the ‘daughters’ with flowers (purple clover, golden daisy, blue iris, and black rose–take a guess as to which one belongs to who) but beyond that I don’t know.

-As for places:

Eclipsa lives in the castle, which is one of the oldest structures in the village, and had been around LONG before Belos was born. It overlooks the village and is perfect for hosting parties during special occasions. Though what secrets it holds are only for those who live there.

Scratch lives (much like his equivalent) in a house near a waterfall beyond the vast cemetery, which he technically owns since it is part of his domain. Word has it that the cemetery is haunted, and few have been able to enter the house beyond it.

Eda lives in a house on an isle in the middle of the lake, with only a bridge connecting it to the mainland and surrounding mountains. The isle has been in the Clawthorne family for generations and it is rumored her ancestor was married to a supposed ancestor of Belos. Word has it that Eda sends anyone who commits a crime in her territory to a terrifying monster who lives somewhere near the lake…

Doof lives in a factory beyond the fields on the outskirts of the village. It is there that he is free to build whatever he wishes without any distractions or annoying neighbors. Though some wonder just what he makes in there… and if any of his inventions actually work.

…. Oh right, cue the jingle that only anyone beyond the fourth wall can hear: “Lord Doofensmirtz evil private factory!”

Avatar

Wait, if belos is looking for boys to infect and become a vessel for his big brother, was there a time he tried to infect Molly’s little brother with a cadou because his sister’s compatable with it?

Was Mariposa kidnapped alongside Marco Diaz because she’s collateral for belos wanting Marco as a vessel?

Avatar

-Belos didn't bother with Darryl. Molly was compatible, but her power was too weak, so Belos figured it'd be the same with her brother. (Not to mention there was too much of a gamble in that scenario. One sibling was enough, but a second one would raise suspicion).

Marco is the more ideal candidate because he survived a LOT and has a bit of the cadou inside him thanks to Bill (which was done as a sort of backup 'screw you' to him and Star.)

-I think Mariposa was a sort of 'at the wrong place at the wrong time,' and the girl was none too happy to be seperated from her brother when he was crystalized (and... ah... put in four flasks, just like in the game.)

Eclipsa called dibs on Mariposa really fast, and Belos allowed it since it wouldn't have made much of a difference and had a plan for getting rid of the lords since he didn't need them anymore...

Mariposa was safe at Eclipsa's at first, and even befriended Meteora. But shit went down, Eclipsa got crystalized by Belos for failing to stop Star, as did Globgor as part of the punishment, and Star was disturbed by those events. Meteora was spared (since she didn't have a cadou inside her to activate the specific crystalization process), and both she and Mariposa were entrusted to Papa Titan (along with the crystalized Eclipsa and Globgor) for safe keeping.

....Oh yeah... the crystalization thing from the game. I'll talk about that in a separate post. You don't even have to ask about that one because I finally figured out how to bring that into the AU. And... let's just say I know some people are not going to be happy with me.

Do the collector and hunter still exist in this re au?

Is Andrea one of the rich villagers?

What if Mabel officially became bill’s “daughter” and got introduced to his “siblings” and “nieces?” Outside of the wtf expressions and horror they’d express for Mabel.

Avatar

-I don’t want to make any false promises regarding the Collector. As for Hunter, I suppose he could be a failed clone of Belos’ brother that he left for dead, but beyond that I don’t have a real backstory.

-Again, I want to limit how many characters from each show would appear, but if her dad was a sort of merchant and had a whole monopoly over that, then yeah Andrea would likely be one of the wealthier class. Maybe not mean, but just a bit oblivious, and likely not as wealthy as her canon self. (In case you ask, I don’t think the Davenports would try to win favor with Scratch–they would be trying to go for Eclipsa. Though I’m sure there’s a rivalry with the Blight family).

However, I can confirm that Libby and her mom are in this AU and her mom is the local librarian/bookseller. They were the first to win a favor with Scratch when he accepted Molly as his heir.  (Basically, Scratch and Molly will get their books from them and no one else, and Scratch helped pay some things off for the mother and daughter. I think that was one of the few times he was happy to use his title for something good for a change.)

-It honestly depends. In a more ‘what if Bill was friendly’ AU (because that’s a popular GF AU), Mabel wouldn’t have been driven crazy by his influence and she would have gotten along with Luz and Molly, Vanessa likely wouldn’t stand her, and maybe Meteora would like her if Mabel knitted her something.

But that doesn’t happen in canon, and Mabel–under Bill’s influence–is too insane and dangerous to be around any of the ‘daughters.’ Not to mention her obsessive tendencies border on yandere in that state. Ah... just like her dear 'dad.'

In case I’m asked about if Dipper was also made an ‘heir?’ Yeaaaaahhhhh, Dipper is actually screwed in that scenario because Belos specifically wants boys as a vessel to bring his brother back. Dipper was lucky he got cured of his crystalization before Belos could catch wind of his existence.

Avatar

When you said the devoted followers tried to “get close to them,” do you mean they tried to flirt with the girls to marry into the lords’ houses?

What became of Mabel and her family after star and Stan freed them from bill’s influence?

Do the collector and hunter still exist in this au, if yes, what roles do they play?

Avatar

-See, while not everyone in the village believes in Belos (especially when some of them weren’t born and raised), there’s always that one group of religious nutjobs who buys into everything he says (like any religious cult). Now, the lords aren’t singing his praises, but it’s obvious to the villagers that the lords have some sort of connection with Belos, and if the nutjobs can’t win direct favor with Belos, they will try to with the lords. So imagine people kissing up to you and saying ‘oh how grand of Belos to approve of this adoption.’

Though I would also imagine that there are other villagers who aren’t nutjobs, but are trying to kiss up to the lords to try to win favor with them, either by trying to claim that they did a good thing adopting the girls, or are just trying to be immediately friendly with Molly and Luz upon knowing their new importance. If they have kids close to the girls’ age, then some folks might be trying to win favor in order to ensure a future marriage arrangement (which actually fell out of favor thanks to Eclipsa ensuring that practice was banned due to personal experiences with it). I’m sure their parents–adopted, but also biological if they caught wind of it–would beat the ass of ANYONE who tried to flirt with the girls right then and there, given how young the girls are. Considering marrying into their houses via the girls? Yeah, you pretty much signed your death warrant on the spot.

The ironic thing is that 1. Both girls were commoners and looked down by the upperclass of the village, (such as the Blight family). 2. Luz was kind of one of those weird kids to begin with, so she wasn’t well-liked by a lot of adults. 3. Not only are both Molly and Luz aware that they were looked down on, but they were adopted by the two most reclusive of the lords, and they were NOT in the mood for any ass-kissing. So yeah… no one got on the lords’ good sides on those days and Molly and Luz were kept at their respective new houses for a couple of days until things calmed down again.

Side note-when I say upperclass, I mean the group of villagers who are the most financially well -off and run businesses. The lords rank above them, regardless of how much wealth they themselves posess, which annoys the rich folks. And since I mentioned the Blight family I can confirm that Luz and Amity are a canon couple in this story. (They just keep it secret because… well… Belos is a tad homophobic here and isn’t keen on letting anyone marry whoever they want unless they will have children.)

-I’m happy to say that the entire Pines family are saved in their part of the AU. They all are going to need therapy though. Mabel is happy to be freed and to have her brother back, Dipper was saved from crystalization, although it’s going to take him awhile to get his hair color back (“You look like our grunkles, Dipper!” Mabel comments, much to Dipper’s annoyance), Soos is happy that he’s not trying to kill any kids or his father figure, and Ford…. Well, Stan gives him an EPIC verbal beatdown for bringing Bill into their lives in the first place. Also Stan is just happy his family is safe, sane, and healthy (and that he got to beat up some monsters in the process and be a badass).

Avatar

What is the baptism and adoption ceremony like? Are they just dipped in moldy water?

Where’s eda’s adopted son, king? And does vi exist?

What kind of mold powers do the girls have?

Avatar

I’ll answer these in reverse order-

The girls powers are basically what they had in their canon series. I’d say that because the area in the village used to be inhabited by ancient creatures, Belos got a hand on some DNA and mixed with the Cadou for various subjects.

-Vanessa doesn’t have a Cadou and since one of her parents didn’t get one either, she’s the least powerful, appart from being a bit more durable.

-Meteora’s powers are a mix of her parents since they both got a Cadou. (She does not have a Cadou and doesn’t need one). She could mutate like her mom but it wears her out.

-Molly has a very weakened version of her powers from TGAMM. She can make flowers grow and likely has limited healing powers because of this (I haven’t explored this in full yet).

-Luz is actually the most powerful because when Eda gave her a Cadou, she also used Titan’s DNA and the actual extent of her powers are kept a huge secret. (Obtaining Titan’s blood/dna is impossible to get in this au.) But Luz also has a mutated form of her own because of this, which was also kept a secret from Belos.

About King:

-King actually IS in this AU. A lot of the creatures were forced to leave the lands when Belos took the megamycete for himself and started trying to kill them all. The creatures managed to stay hidden and King did get to be with his Dad for a time until he accidentally entered our world with no way back home. Eda found him and figured out who he was and she’s been hiding him in her home away from the village and Belos. Only she and Luz know about him. (Part of the reason Papa Titan is posing as a Merchant during the main events is to try to find his son, but he does ally himself with Star-and Luz upon meeting her-when he sees a way to defeat Belos and return the lands back to their rightful inhabitants.) You could say that King is also technically a member of the Clawthorne house and is Luz’s ‘brother.’

-I haven’t figured out specifics yet but I’d say Vee does exist.

Ok now for the baptism/adoption ceremonies.

-In all four cases they happen in the church.

-The water used is indeed infused with a bit of the megamycete. It’s only used for baptisms since Meteora and Vanessa don’t have Cadou in their bodies to the extent of their ‘cousins.’

-Expect from religious speech from Belos that only his followers would believe before the ceremony properly starts.

-In the case of a baptism, the parent must answer the following during the process upon presenting the girl to Belos:

-“Do you promise to raise your child to fulfill their familial obligations to your house and this community?”

-“Do you promise to do whatever it takes to protect the child and thus your bloodline?”

-“Do you promise to instill loyalty in your child?” (Translation: “is your child going to be loyal to me?”)

-the girl is then baptized with water and declared heir to the family name.

-Vanessa’s wasn’t too remarkable, but Meteora’s father wasn’t even allowed to attend  due to how his Cadou affected his physical appearance and she was required to keep her more unusual features hidden. However she almost succeeded in biting Belos’ finger off-word has it that you can still hear Bill’s howls of laughter over that moment echo in the church on quiet days.

-In the case of the adoption ceremony, the girl is transferred from her biological family to Belos before she can be given to her new adoptive parent, who must answer these questions first:

-first is the same as the first question from the baptism ceremony.

-second question is same as the second question from the baptism ceremony but without mention of a bloodline.

“Do you understand that the gift you are given should be treasured carefully?” (Translation: “I will let you take this child as your own but know that I can easily take them away from you.”)

-“Do you accept this child as your own and are willing to give your name to them?”

-the girl is then handed off to the lord and declared heir to their family name.

-neither Camila nor the McGee family were happy about being forced to give up their child to people they barely knew at the time (especially given that the girls were told that their families would meet unfortunate fates if they revealed the truth behind Belos and the lords). Eda and Scratch were not happy about that either and they got their respective kids out of there before Belos’ more devoted followers tried to get close to them.

May you share the dynamics between the lords’ “daughters” in the re x Disney crossover?

Avatar

Vanessa–was the only heir for the longest time (and was the only one who was a biological heir until Meteora came around) and was a tad used to being spoiled because of this. So suddenly having these ‘cousins’ to share that spotlight with was a bit of an adjustment to her. The only one she’d be the most familiar with is Luz since Luz came to the village with her parents at a young age. However, I don’t think she has a favorite and prefers hanging with her own friends over her ‘cousins.’

The other ‘daughters’ look up to Vanessa since she’s the cool one and knows how to handle the responsibilities of being a lord’s daughter. (Basically, the ‘daughters’ serve as representatives of the houses when the lords are too busy/can’t show up in public for one reason or another. Hilariously enough, Vanessa is more respected than her Dad in this regard, even by Belos himself.)

Luz-I think she’d be thrilled about having ‘cousins’ and it helped that she was familiar with Vanessa for most of her life. (I’d also imagine Luz might of had a slight crush on Vanessa for a short time, long before Eda took her as her ‘heir.’) She is the only one entrusted to baby-sit Meteora since she’s not afraid of her. She also gets along the most with Molly, due to sharing some commonalities, but their reasons for being accepted into their respective houses is where the similarities end. (Luz was fully aware of Eda’s secrets and willingly agreed to get the cadou treatment to keep Belos from being suspicious, and she won’t tell Molly about this, or what was used alongside the cadou when she got it.)

Molly–I’d think she’d have the hardest time seeing the other ‘daughters’ as her ‘cousins’ because she already has one related to her and is the only one who have an actual biological sibling. Still, she’d try to get along with them, but–as mentioned before–Luz is the one she’s the closest to. They both were adopted into their respective houses and weren’t allowed to live with their biological families, which is a mutual cause of misfortune. But as stated above, their reasons for getting adopted is where the similarities end. (In contrast to Luz, Molly had no choice because otherwise Belos would have killed her for interacting with Scratch while he was using his powers, which was supposed to be kept a secret.)

Meteora–I think that as a baby, she tolerates her ‘cousins’ but she favors Luz since she’s the only one who isn’t too put off by her unsettling demon-like behavior.

(though I think Vanessa would have gotten along with Meteora if she had been a teenager. Vanessa might find Meteora fascinating now, but she doesn't strike me as a baby-sitter for an actual baby.)

Overall–I think Luz is the one who gets along with the others the easiest, but has too many secrets of her own that keeps her from being too trusting in them. Vanessa is the most ‘eh’ towards everyone. Molly’s optimism is only appreciated the most by Luz. Meteora can’t really do much as a baby and only favors the ‘cousin’ who shows her the most attention.
