daydreaming until my brain hurts

I am a female artist and an aspiring writer. I love video games (like the Legend of Zelda), anime, musical theater, etc. Sometimes I can focus too much on certain things.

Rough comic of an idea I had in mind: Stephen forgets about any multiversal threat shenanigans because Otto is hot

Well Otto WAS the only other SM villain (besides Curt) that Stephen interacted with, not to mention those two moments at the Statue of Liberty.

I just realized something hilariously ironic. In pretty much all my AUs, one of the main characters gets a serious injury. And yet it’s Todd ‘Scratch’ Mortenson who actually ends up going to a hospital out of ALL of those characters. All for one of the least serious injuries out of all the injuries in those fics. And it was one that DIDN’T injure him in canon but did this time because reasons. (Seriously that injury is NOTHING compared to the others that happened thus far).

The runner up is Peter Parker. He ended up getting immediate medical attention as well… but ‘getting medical treatment from an octopus doctor who isn’t an actual medical doctor’ is about as ridiculous as ‘was bitten by a lycan version of Scott Lang/Antman and only avoided infection thanks to immunity.’

So you know how Norman said that the Lords in the crystals were trapped in “dreams and regret?”. Does being trapped in the crystal feel the same as when Peter was sunken into the mold during the ritual?

Avatar

Hard to say. Norman's method of crystalization is different than Strange's. In the case of the lords' crystalization, there's still enough DNA to bring them back, and some degree of conciousness, but it's like you'd be asleep and trapped in dreams. In some cases those dreams would be nightmares. They aren't even aware of what is happening outside their temporary forms.

But I'd imagine those regrets are things that they did regret up to that point that are somewhat stuck on a loop: Max failing to acomplish the one thing he was told to do by a person he very much looked up to, Flint being unable to do more to save his daughter (especially from a potential fate worse than death), Curt doing horrible things to his family as well as several people out of his misguided beliefs, Otto not noticing Norman's intentions sooner and failing to do more to protect his wife.

In Peter's case, he was experincing NORMAN'S regrets, otherwise he would have seen more of his own memories and be reliving his own regrets, like his 'brothers' in their crystalized forms.

Hi Tornrose24, since thanksgiving is coming real soon what do you think that your Spider-Man characters au do for thanksgiving? (Sorry if I’m asking too much)

Avatar

Well, it likely wasn’t like what happened in Spiderman 2002. But let’s see…

-I imagine Peter and Aunt May celebrated with MJ and her Aunt Anna, since they live next door. Though it’s a bit bittersweet since Ben isn’t there this time around. Peter rarely worries about having to face anyone attacking the city during this time.

-Ned’s family celebrates, but since Ned is Filipino like his MCU counterpart, it’s celebrated a little differently. (I just looked it up–it looks like the Philippines do celebrate Thanksgiving like we Americans, but it’s a bit different. I would recommend looking it up too since there’s quite a history about it as well as the foods you eat. It doesn’t look like the main dish is a turkey, but a pig.)

-Thanksgiving at the Osborn residence is kind of a small affair since it’s often just father and son celebrating together (it used to be more lively when Emily was alive). There were times where they had been invited to the Parker residence when Harry and Peter were a bit closer, but it’s been awhile since those days.

-Jameson is either having his workers report on that day, or he’s with his wife. Knowing him, they probably just went to a restaurant instead of spending a lot on making the food.

-As for the villains, I doubt most of them are out celebrating (they might have before they became supervillains). I think Max would celebrate with Flint and Keemia, but he stole a turkey from a random rich person instead of buying it, because those things don’t come cheap.

-The turkey belonged to Tony Stark/Iron Man.

Just realizing why Peter’s plan to draw the villains in at the Statue of Liberty worked as well as it did, besides the obvious.

The last two villains Peter faced on his own baited him into a trap. On the other hand, Peter had to work with Tony, Stephan, and the Guardians to stop Thanos on Titan, and that involved luring him in with something he wanted.

The kid knew full well how to bait someone by that point, so he did it this time as well, in addition to making sure it was somewhere where the least amount of damage could be caused. And this time around, he was the one who had a few surprise advantages on his side.

Miguel: You can't just adopt two other Spider-men from other multiverses!
Otto: You did.
Miguel: WHAT?!
Norman: Kind of hypocritical if you ask me.
Miguel: I DID NOT ADOPT ANY SPIDER-PEOPLE!
Otto: *Grins while pointing with one of his actuators* Uh-huh and who are they?
Miles, Gwen, Pavitr, and Hobie: *Remaking the lego death star with Peter 1, 2, and 3*
Miguel: That. They're not-! Those aren't my kids! I'm just their mentor!
Norman: *Drinking his coffee while reading* That's how it always starts.
Miguel: *Growing his claws and fangs out* THEY ARE NOT MY KIDS!
Otto: Then who made those four bracelets on your writs?
Miguel: *Looks at his wists to see four bracelets saying ToSpiderdad, #1Padre, #1AuthorityFigure, and GreatestPapa:)*
Otto: *Waiting for a response*
Miguel: I-... It was a gift! That- This doesn't-!
Norman: *Still reading* Welcome to the father figure club, O'Hara.
Miguel: *Growls, clenching his fists* Cállate!

About time I made a design for the one Spiderman girl I haven't gotten around to until now.

For Black Cat/Felicia I wanted to go for a more plus sized look because I liked the idea of her being like a big floofy cat in her iconic attire. She was originally intended to be college aged, but her civilian design looked a lot younger than intended. After a discussion with artistcaptainbendy, I opted to make her a popular senior at Midtown High, though at some point in her life she had to re-do a year. She also has the comic backstory of her father being the first Black Cat.

As for the hair, I opted for a wig, and I gave her mask lens so that it'd be easier to hide her secret identity.

As for her relationship with Spiderman... well, Peter's a dumb teen with hormones. And I think BC would suspect Spiderman is a lot younger than he pretends to be, so she would just be teasing him, but wouldn't let him get too close. (She's a girl with standards, and goals that clash with Spidey's.)

What do you think a first date between flint and max would be like?

Avatar

A date at Coney Island where they'd sneak in without paying. Probably shouldn't have ridden that roller coaster though.

(Yes, Peter was on a date with Mary Jane at the same time. However neither party encountered each other, especially since Peter's spidey senses never went off during that time).

For some reason I looked up what electro was week to and this is what I found out. Weaknesses. When he was fully charged, Electro was extremely sensitive to anything that may "short circuit" him, such as water. Later, due to the experiments Spider-Man conducted on him, Electro could lose control over his powers, which caused him to burn out and collapse.

Avatar

My version of Electro's weakness regarding water is closer to Jamie Foxx's Electro versus Spectacular's Electro (where I don't think the guy can even touch water).

Max won't be able to use his powers if he's wet and it'd take awhile until he can use them again. He'd still be able to drink fluids and take a shower though.

If he's overloaded with electricity, then it becomes a bit more of a safety risk for him than just growing weak. Like if he absorbed a huge chunk of NYC's electricity or too much of Tony Stark's Arc Reactor OR Thor's electricity, then be better not go anywhere near so much as a glass of water.

My version of Peter would NEVER do experiments on Max. Not even 'For Science!' because even if he might act like a little shit to his villains half the time, he's not going to stoop so low as to be inhumane. (Also, given that Max had to hide the fact that he was trans until he could leave his mother's house for good, there's a reason he doesn't take kindly to the idea of being tested for any reason.)

Other than that, Peter has been able to use the water trick a few times, but not very often, given that Max could eventually take the fights as far from any water sources as possible. Though he might have been kicked into a generator and almost all his electricity was drained into it a la Thor accidentally powering Tony's Arc Reactor in Avengers.
