daydreaming until my brain hurts

Did a little more of this since the first drawings were well liked.

For those who don't know HM lore, here is who is who:

-Edith and Krupp are the bride (a combo of the original beating heart bride and Melanie from Phantom Manor) and the hatbox ghost

-Grace wain is Madame Leota

-Creepily Rattlechians (remember that guy from the halloween special) is the Ghost Host

--Cash Networth is the Mariner/Captain (who I guess is more well known in the Orlando version and I think appeared in the recent film)

-Ree and his brother are the dueling ghosts.

-And poor Jerry is the gaveyard groundskeeper.

I referenced both movies and illustrations of the Arabian Nights for the outfits while trying to keep a color theme for various characters.

But I’d say Moxie and Erica/Grace’s outfits were my favorite as well as the most challenging. I wasn’t sure what kind of hair accessory to give Erica and  it felt like it would be a sin to cover that afro. Moxie was similar, but I was able to come up with something that looked regal without hiding her hair. I also had to design the outfits to reflect their roles while also tying into their personalities. (also, I think she’d actually be taller than Edith).

Ree and his brother have their own uniforms to reflect their positions (one as head of the guard/captain in the palace, and one for the streets of the city). But I took heavy inspiration from both films.

Same with Murdsley, but I tried not to make it ‘obviously evil’ (don’t really care for drawing the guy though).

Melvin’s outfit and colors became easy to put together... and then there’s the OTHER outfit.

Finally done with those CU Pinocchio AU doodles i said I would complete… and my hand hates me right now.

You’ll notice I used my actual art style as opposed to the CU style in these drawings (because I wanted to stay in practice with my actual style, but it’s not the first time I did this with the characters). I didn’t do EVERYTHING tied to the plot line. Just what I wanted to do (and the very last drawing is my personal favorite). I have the ‘keep reading’ tab in case you don’t want to be overwhelmed on first glance (or if you don’t like seeing the CU characters in my style).
