daydreaming until my brain hurts

I was really missing drawing CU related stuff, so here is something in time for Hanukkah.

Alexandra and David are mine. (Also, in case anyone is wondering, the treat in Alexandra's hands is a sufganiyot.)

So Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights 2023 has a Monsters Unmasked Haunted House. Considering how it makes Phantom of the Opera and Jekyll and Hyde more violent than the source material, imagine if my Phantom!Krupp and @artistcaptainbendy's SP!Hyde!Krupp went through that and assumed it was going to be fun, only to be in for a nasty surprise. They are going to need to go to Nintendo World (and maybe stop at the chocolate shop emporium) to get over the trauma.

Also there was free space, so I had the two go on double dates with their respective Ediths.

They would have Alexandra (both her and her brother) though it would be very unexpected for Benjamin since he was sure the whole ‘looks human but not biologically compatible’ would be in play. He’d also have less insecurities over being a dad compared to his canon self.

He would be honest with her about his time as a superhero since he’s more open to trusting more people by this point and he wants to have a good relationship with her (especially since his adopted dad was a good father figure).

Now as for the powers… if she did, Alexandra would likely inherit his super strength and durability specifically (her brother would get flying). (However I set up this prophecy in a past post where CU would undergo a death similar to the books, except it would be just a loss of powers and thus the ‘death’ is metaphorical (and he doesn’t actually die). So there’s the question of if she’d still gain those powers or not.)

On the other hand if he still had them, then there would be more concern in having Alexandra keep his identity secret (as well as any potential powers she would have) since she would be the next in line in the Underpantyworld Royal Family after her Dad.

Did a little more of this since the first drawings were well liked.

For those who don't know HM lore, here is who is who:

-Edith and Krupp are the bride (a combo of the original beating heart bride and Melanie from Phantom Manor) and the hatbox ghost

-Grace wain is Madame Leota

-Creepily Rattlechians (remember that guy from the halloween special) is the Ghost Host

--Cash Networth is the Mariner/Captain (who I guess is more well known in the Orlando version and I think appeared in the recent film)

-Ree and his brother are the dueling ghosts.

-And poor Jerry is the gaveyard groundskeeper.

I saw the recent Haunted Mansion movie, and when I found out what the Hat Box Ghost's last name was, I found it ridiculous for many reasons, but also because it sounded pretty close to 'Krupp.' I couldn't stop thinking of that, and I was struck with an idea of doing Haunted Mansion/Captain Underpants and make Krupp the Hat Box Ghost.

Oh and I also made Edith the Ghost Bride... specifically one based off Melanie from Phantom Manor (the Disneyland Paris version of the ride), because Melanie is way more sympathetic than Constance. (And for those that know Phantom Manor's backstory, Krupp is NOT the Phantom. I haven't come up with a solid backstory for her or Krupp in this scenario yet).

George and Harold are just two kids that ended up in the mansion and prove to be not as easily scard as Krupp would hope.

EDIT: So I was actually closer than I thought to canon, because the original beating heart bride in Disneyland was supposedly the Hat Box’s ghost’s intended/love interest/fiancée in the very original version of the haunted mansion. So if I revisit this AU I might need to add something to Edith’s design to reflect that.
