it's so funny seeing someone talking up a movie that you think is bad (i know i also like movies other people hate so we're all guilty)

#i gave nosferatu 2 stars#the casting is bad#the acting is generally suuuuper awkward#it's boring#i somehow missed that aaron taylor johnson (terrible overrated boring actor) fucked his dead wife then died#but it was like one brief shot where they were in the background so i excuse myself#orlock fucking ridiculous voice#basically a cartoon#they're right to say hes waluigi

I watched The Brutalist yesterday, and struggled to work out how I felt about it... then I was talking to some people about it at work today and got quite emotional very unexpectedly, which is kind of rare for me with films. I feel like it has really sat with me, and when I started to draw out what it touched on I found it very affecting.
