There was once a young man under the rule of a powerful king. He committed a deed so awful, it was to be punished by death. The day before he was to be hung, the young man's mother went to the king and pleaded for mercy for her son. The king said, 'Woman, your son does not deserve mercy.' 'I know', she answered, 'If he deserved it then it would not be mercy.' The Mercy of the Most Merciful - Allah: “Say: 'O My slaves who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)!
