I'd like to talk about my views about DaiLui and why i feel like it could be mutual.

Like, i do believe in the Rui → Daisuke order because it's more accurate and cuter, even if a bit of cliché. But I also like Daisuke → Rui route, it has its own charm and comedy in it.

But Rui is not like Daisuke, of course, and they differ between how they react to people having romantic interests on them.

Rui might not be oblivious like Daisuke, he's pretty well aware of people's feelings so if someone ever confessed to him, he would be in denial due to his past experiences and awful trauma he had. He's still learning to socialize and to interact with others, he's not used to people really liking him. So it will be a bit hard but you can get there, Daisuke-kun!

Meanwhile, and as everyone is well aware, Daisuke has zero awareness when people like him if you don't tell him (or even, if you tell him, he might not believe it either). Since he's dense af, there's a lot of work to be done here in this relationship so good luck, Rui-kun.

... And then I realized that i just described mutual pinning for the first time in my life.

Stupid thought re: RMN hoodie What if it was from one of those random worldwide travels and somehow you got them in Romania for some reason (maybe Takeru wanted to see the Bran Castle…?) So Daisuke bought a hoodie because it says RMN (as in, "Romania") & jokes about it meaning "RaMeN"

I think Hikari would've knitted some cute and matching scarves for her friends and herself so I designed the other five today💖

I talked about this design before but NOT about the backstory behind this scarf and why he wears it in that AU.

Like i said previously, this AU predated Kizuna so it takes place in a different timeline, but i love Kizuna so hard that i mixed up a few thing of canon with this alternative timeline.

So, 2010/2011 Daisuke is really running after his dream, studying and researching most of his time, but still with V-mon as companion and sometimes his friends. He gets a part-time job at a Ramen Shop where he practices his skills. But this is not what i want to talk about here.

This scarf is a gift from Hikari. She made scarves for all of her friends and herself. Each scarf got an unique detail, and Daisuke is the kind to be a ride or die person when it comes to his friends -- especially Hikari -- so he wears it all the time, takes extremely care with it just like he used to take extra careful with Taichi's goggles. He even learned how to repair it in case of some damage.

※ The initial idea was just "a gift from Hikari", but i decided to evolve it into something more bigger involving the others since they're all best friends.

I count Wallace as a 02 group member. it’s just… he doesn’t tag along with them a lot. 

… He also lives in the other side of the world, and probably never had been in the Digital World before. He might not even know what a Digital Gate is.

I mean, in movie he didn’t know the digimon evolve… He was surprised when Gummymon evolved. He didn’t even call Gummymon by “Terriermon” either. 

I’m sure the moment Daisuke moves to NYC: “Wow you moved to NYC that fast!” “Thanks to the Digital Gate!!” “… What’s that?”

Last night talking with a friend about the ways Daisuke speak, we’ve reached the conclusion just because Daisuke is casual and does use simple and easy words… … It would be actually hard for someone pretend to be him (via possession or idk, someone disguised as him)

Which means the moment the fake/possessed (?) Daisuke says something that’s normal to those who don’t know him well, his group of friends would catch it quickly and unmask the imposter for using a “fancy word” that Daisuke wouldn’t use that often or would never use at all.

Re: Tokyo Chosen Children as villains:

I think the most terrifying ones are Taichi, Hikari, Koushiro, Miyako, Iori and Takeru.

I can’t believe we had this discussion…?? I feel like them all being goodies are a big relief…

i bring this back after three months, realizing that yeah a pragmatic person like Daisuke would be

extremely dangerous and terrifying.

(i just rewatched ep 25 today and holy sh*t he was so freaking serious about beating Golemon in order to protect the town that this caused Miyako and Iori protest and argue with him… While Takeru and Hikari were on his side due to their past experiences on survival scenarios)

Probably said this before but…

I think Daisuke is a character who closely fits Sonic’s principles – and how both are not even that close to “hot-blooded shounen hero” archetype…

This explains why my headcanon is that Daisuke likes Sonic. He sees himself in this blue hero, enjoys running in the wind appreciating the view. He would travel through the world if he could– oh.

What did you say? He can do that now!? Yeah thanks Miyako for exploiting the digital gate so we could finally get Daisuke doing worldwide trips for ramen research!

But anyway, Sonic’s principles are important – he’s a hero with a strong sense of justice and fairness. He’s charismatic which makes people love and befriend him (except the ones who’re against him of course), has a good sense of humor, and never abandons anyone.

Those fits Daisuke – err kinda of. Daisuke is purehearted, friendly to people who don’t present a threat/shady aura, wouldn’t abandon anyone… Might not be that charismatic for some people but i think he got some charm. And he’s a hero of justice which does what he thinks is right but can change his views if presented new evidence. Ah and pretty funny and adorable.

Their differences is mostly… Sonic detest to be under people’s orders! He likes to run free and go wherever he wants to. However, Daisuke is pretty much tameable, a good chunk of people in 02/Kizuna get control over him and his actions – especially Hikari, who can manipulate him just by knowing his crush on her… and how Daisuke seems to think he’s doing a great job by hiding said crush.

Sonic also does not know to swim. Daisuke apparently does (Natsu e no Tobira/Door to the Summer)

Lighdramon is fast! And we see Daisuke tends to prefer riding on him most of the times in 02 (since he got the Digimental of Friendship) and has some… uh… problem with heights… Though later in the series he’s getting pretty much used to fly on XV-mon…

Anyway, that’s all.

Since today’s episode made me think a little more about the OG concept in the OG Adv-verse, i realized Ken wasn’t aware him creating Chimeramon probably was the seed giving him instructions on subconscious level. 

 All you needed for that chaotic recipe was Mugendramon right?

So, now that the reboot showed a bit of the connections between MetalGreymon (!!) and Mugendramon… 

GUESS WHICH MON KEN ALSO HAD IN HIS HANDS FOR AT LEAST TWO EPISODES!? 

Yep. Ken could’ve evolved MetalGreymon to Mugendramon I guess.

I’m so glad everyone saved Agumon and destroyed Chimeramon before things getting much worse… 

 And that Ken now is a good person too.

Previous post about Daisuke in NY going to participate on a cooking reality show headcanons:

• This probably happens after Kizuna and before the epilogue. He’s still not married and had no child either. Shares a room with Wallace.

• He does it once and for fun, Wallace & Michael just help him to achieve this dumb idea. He did not expect to pass, but he did.

• He goes to run against other two talented amateur chefs, both of them have digimon partners as well. Their digimon stay with V-mon on a room, where they can watch the recording.

• Daisuke is just doing it for fun, remember? So of course he’s pretty funny and charismatic with everyone, makes the judges and even his “rivals” laugh and enjoy the recording.

• He doesn’t win, of course, but he’s not upset or bitter with the result. All the critique was valid to him, and he’s quite thankful they allowed him to participate from that show. Everyone is impressed about the “funny Japanese guy” for being super duper optimistic.

• V-mon is so proud of Daisuke and says he did won something. He gushes about how Daisuke is now famous and Daisuke laughs, “Maybe I am but I did it for fun.”

• One day he was parking his ramen cart in a food truck area and realizes someone coming in his direction. The person asks if he had been on a TV show before and he nods. The person screeches and ask for a photo, also claims to have liked that episode. He’s happy so he takes a photo with them, they then try one of his ramen dishes and end in love with it. “It’s delicious!”

• After that day, a lot of people come to eat ramen at his cart and this is how he becomes famous.

• Ken sends him a message saying that Miyako saw a lot of memes about said episode, very positive memes, and how funny people thought of him. Daisuke looks at the social media and finds his messages filled with nice messages, some fanart of him and some people wishing to eat his ramen.

• Since that day he decides to fulfill people’s wishes and he starts going around the world, carrying his ramen cart with him.
