Cold little idiot perches on a windy hilltop and tries not to be blown away, but is very happy anyway.
Rosamond may be tiny and occupied by more ravens than people, but it sure does put on quite the show. Yesterday I decided I had to climb up to the top of the hills behind the town to get the best seat in the house for the sunset. It was very cold and very windy but also very worth it.

Waiting patiently for the family of House Finches to move out of our patio room so I can let the cats hang out in here without fearing the inevitability of a House Finch murder scene.
I went out to get eggs and frozen strawberries from the grocery store and ended up getting distracted by an overwhelming urge to climb up into the hills at the edge of town. The air was pleasantly warm the way it is when the day has been hot but all the heat has receded with the sun and it smelled like creosote and memories that I couldn't entirely recall.
