What possesses a person (me) to think reading Call of the Wild in public is a good idea? If anyone needs me just look for the crazy person publicly weeping into her chai tea in broad daylight.
“With the aurora borealis flaming coldly overhead, or the stars leaping in the frost dance, and the land numb and frozen under its pall of snow, this song of the huskies might have been the defiance of life, only it was pitched in minor key, with long-drawn wailings and half-sobs, and was more the pleading of life, the articulate travail of existence. It was an old song, old as the breed itself--one of the first songs of the younger world in a day when songs were sad.” ― Jack London
Cinnamon waffles with blackberries and a dirty chai in a mug big enough to swim in. It’s been a good morning. :)
I think I might be over-compensating for Hawaii’s lack of a proper fall just a little bit...
I have no idea why this coffee shop had typewriters on their tables, but they made a mean dirty chai.
This coffee shop has excellent chai tea and a very cool bicycle-wheel-wall. (Sorry random mustached Jude Law looking dude for probably making you think I was taking pictures of you, I just really liked the bicycle wall)
Hands down the best thing I’ve ever tasted. A++
Sometimes you just have to have a coffee date with yourself. Or in this case a lavender chai tea date.
Three cheers for friends who think sitting in a coffee shop and reading all afternoon (and consuming a possibly unhealthy amount of caffeine) sounds like as great of a time as I do. | ashleydiscovers
In yesterdays news: the plants by the post office looked pleased with the rain, the barista at starbucks decided my name was Claire, and traffic was abysmal.
I have a job interview in a couple of hours....what better way to prepare than drinking chai tea and fawning over my new second-hand copy of Essential Monet.
If there's a better way to start the day than with chai tea and hobbit adventures, I haven't found it.
