We both ate so much at breakfast that we ended up laying down in the isles of this bookstore like overly ambitious pythons that swallowed a couple of really robust gazelle.
I stood in front of the glass and imagined stepping through it, and all the animals came to life as though woken from a spell and the painted sky heaved a heavy sigh as it stretched out of the confines of brushstrokes and blew a great gust of wind across the landscape to wake the grass from its painted slumber.
I took this picture at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles. I could not get over how beautifully detailed all of the scenes were...I thought that the rooms of taxidermied animals would feel morbid, but somehow I felt the opposite.
“Living is like tearing through a museum. Not until later do you really start absorbing what you saw, thinking about it, looking it up in a book, and remembering - because you can't take it in all at once.”
― Audrey Hepburn
Caught off guard looking like a distraught paperboy...
Silas: (Latin) name meaning “of the forest”
I tried to wait until November 1st to reread my favourite book like I usually do, but I made the mistake of leaving it on my bedside table and the scorpio sea called to me until I couldn't resist any more.
Me, all my aunts on my mothers side, and my sister (wearing the aforementioned faux-fur gas station hat that she has become inexplicably attached to and doing some sort of territorial dance presumably to ward off any Yetti’s in the vicinity). Never a dull day.
In a world of places lets go somewhere we haven't gone We've got younger faces than our hearts are letting on And we won't place any stock in old days, Lets save up for something new... ( Novels // Rusty Clanton )

Today was warm, it’s hours stretched out like a cat in the sun: long and languorous. I wore a striped linen halter top that made me feel very french. I have never been to France, but in my mind they’re all wearing striped linen halter tops over there. -Excerpts from My Journal, August 11th, 2017
"We must never forget, every time we sit on a horse, what an extraordinary privilege it is: to be able to unite one's body with that of another sentient being, one that is stronger, faster and more agile by far than we are, and at the same time, brave, generous, and uncommonly forgiving." - William Steinkraus
Love you, Osiris. Thanks for being the best storm-chasing partner a girl could ask for.
