After lltpq do you think even though Albert and Greta are accepting to Jack and Sally’s marriage, Jack would still make great efforts to prove to them how much he loves Sally and even ask them for their blessing?

Of course!! It is a pretty big revelation in there that Sally isn't originally from Halloween Town and comes from elsewhere. I'm sure she would tell Jack that he feels like her home and Dream Town isn't where she belongs. Despite that, though, I think he'd go the extra mile to prove to Albert and Greta that he's helping give Sally a better life, and that he'd do anything for her. (Since they're already married, he doesn't really need to seek their blessing or anything, but he hopes he lives up to their standards and *might* put on a bit of a show in hoping he can prove himself.)

Do you believe Jack or Sally age at all?? (Since in lltpq Sally is a born rag doll and aged in that sense) perhaps she’ll always stay the same age as an adult but I’m not sure about Jack either.

I've had this convo a loooong time ago regarding how old Jack Skellington and the Halloween Town Residents are, even how old Sally is, too (in a technical and mature sense), but that was all before LLTPQ and its introduction of a ragdoll species. I'll briefly mention what I said before since I can't find the posts right now.

Jack describes himself as 'old' in the Poor Jack Song and refers to him eventually turning to dust (which is ALSO mentioned by the Mayor when he announces Jack's 'death' to the town, how he is 'now a pile of dust'), which makes me believe that the death of skeletons (or maybe other undead species in Halloween Town) just eventually...resort to dust when they pass away? Does that mean that Jack, and the others, can age? I'm not too sure, but I imagine the process takes a loooooong time that's different for humans.

In Long Live the Pumpkin Queen, I believe it's mentioned that Albert (Sally's father) has graying facial hair and has gray speckles in his actual hair. This, and Sally growing up from her being a child, alludes to ragdolls aging - although I don't know how long that takes. I imagine, since they're not filled with organs and they're a lot like the undead in Halloween Town, that it's a process which takes a long time just like them.

I imagine Jack and Sally will live hundreds of years, if things go well, and they'll only really show their age by the time they're really old. But! Who's to say, really? I think lots of fans have their own headcanons on this sorta thing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As a fan of LLTPQ + Megan Shepherd’s novel I’m personally excited for what the sequel novel. Do you have any headcanons for what it possibly could about? Also I love your blog!

I'm so excited, too!! I loved Megan Shepherd's novel and her writing, I can't wait to see her sequel to Long Live the Pumpkin Queen!

Personally, with the way LLTPQ ended, I think the next novel *should* either be about the new Holiday Worlds that Jack and Sally uncover + explore, and/or about them starting a family and what that brings to Halloween Town + the holidays.

I've previously made a post for what I also hope to see in the next continuation:

I’m curious, do you think the Sally and Dr. Finkelstein backstory would have worked better if he instead still the supplies to make a Ragdoll from Dream Town, like the fabric and thread she is made up of, rather than kidnapping Sally as a kid? Thoughts?

Not necessarily.....Let me reiterate that I LOVED Long Live the Pumpkin Queen and I adore Albert and Greta’s characters - while I’m *indifferent* to them being Sally’s parents, I can see it working in an Alternate Universe!! The Dr. Finkelstein backstory would’ve worked better, in my view, if they properly explored his desire for a daughter like Sally - maybe he stumbled upon Dream Town prior, and saw the ragdoll dream weavers there, and that inspired him to create one just like them? (He made the skeleton reindeer and Jewel in the movie, so why could he have failed to create life in Sally?)

Do you have any headcanons for Albert and Greta you’d like to share? I like to think they fell in love while working to overthrow the Sandman and later married when they became governors of Dream Town

LOVE THAT, ANON! In fact, I now share that HC with you! <3 I haven’t made any headcanons for the LLTPQ characters *yet*, and this is a great place to start!

  • Like other rag dolls, Albert’s initial job was being a Dream Weaver, but he was passionate in science and literature, and spent more time in the Lullaby Library instead.
  • ^ He eventually made the breakthrough in daydreaming and wrote the first theories about it. His invention earned admiration in Dream Town, and particularly, Greta’s attention.
  • Greta has a strong attachment to children and was committed to her job with helping them sleep. She prefers reading them bedtime stories and acting as a soft plush for them to hold.
  • ^ When the Sandman became cruel & greedy, he demanded a bigger quota from Dream Weavers, which made Greta spend less time with the children. She hated this, knowing he was also stealing their dreams, making her efforts in vain.
  • Albert, in return, was pushed into overworking late night shifts. His research was being rushed and he was quickly losing his passion.
  • He and Greta began talking over their hatred of what their jobs were becoming due to the Sandman, and his cruel reign as of late. They met together after their shifts to begin conspiring, and reaching out to fellow Citizens.
  • ^ In this time, they learned a lot about each other and fell in love. They started a relationship, but prioritized overthrowing the Sandman above everything else. (Their shared goal only strengthened their feelings for each other.)
  • Albert and Greta were chosen to be the spokesmen of Dream Town. They listened to what their fellow weavers, citizens, researchers, and authors had to say, and advocated for better treatment for them. They talked about improving life in Dream Town. Their suggestions were highly agreed with.
  • After the wall was built and the Sandman was banished into the woods, there was no question on electing Albert and Greta as their new leaders. They carried through with their promises and ultimately made Dream Town better for its people.
  • ^ Once the Sandman was out of the picture, they wasted no time getting married. Their union was highly supported by the town.
  • Governing Dream Town took most of Greta’s time, and she couldn’t serve as a dream weaver as much as she used to. She desperately missed children - so it was her idea to have one with Albert.
  • ^ This is why Greta was so attached to Sally when she was first born, sleeping with her every night. She missed helping children fall asleep and wanted to recreate these moments for as long as she could.
  • When they lost Sally, it was a dark time. They were depressed and Dream Town suffered. They eventually pulled through and continued governing as strong as they could - but it was clear things wouldn’t be as happy as they once were.
  • Albert mentioned having another child or two, but Greta refused. She was too attached to Sally and spent every night hoping someday she would come back.
  • In the future, the two are ecstatic to be grandparents and spoil the Skellington Children as much as they can, ensuring they sleep well and lending their best lullaby stories to Jack and Sally. They routinely come by Halloween Town to check in on their family.
  • ^ Someday, they’ll present the idea of one of their grandkids taking over Dream Town in their place, which has yet to be decided on....
