You know what’s ironic and hypocritical?

How haters of Zack Snyder claim they don’t want to reward the “toxicity” of the Snyder Cut movement, but they had no problem being gifted “lighter and fun” movies after years of their toxic behavior of:

-wanting Zack’s head on a stake for making films that they didn’t like

-mocking and celebrating the death of his daughter, Autumn.

-making ridiculous reaches of him being islamphobic only for actual people who follow the islam faith to call them out on their nonsensical statements

-calling him a fascist all for the crime of wanting to do an adaptation of Ayn Rand’s The Fountain Head

-making claims that he hates his mother on some fake ass authority

-stating fans of his work have no taste, delusional or not real fans of DC Comics

These are only a few examples of the crap behavior of those who didn’t gel with his films and if there’s more please feel free to add in. I’ll admit there are some bad apples who defend Zack, it does not erase the over-the-top unwarranted animosity that Zack Snyder and the fans has received in the last 7 years.

The most toxic Snyder Cut supporter I could think of doesn’t hold one motherfucking candle to the 6 years of bullying and toxicity the DCEU and his fans have to go through to this day.

WB already rewarded toxicity by trying to appease the blogger demographic that thinks Superman’s character doesn’t go beyond “I SMILE A LOT AND SAVE KITTENS” and that the Marvel Formula is what all films should blindly follow without question. Pitiful.

And if anyone writes “bUt TheY wEre ShiTtY mOviEs” no. Like, no. Leave at once.

Not to mention that there are fandoms that got away with so much worse:

-MCU saw fans harass a young actress who wasn’t in the mood to give out autographs and when Spider-Man at the time was out of the MCU, fans wanted to bomb Sony/Japan over it. That’s not even regarding their insecure need to dump on anything that isn’t the MCU.

-This year I’ve seen the Pokemon fandom at its lowest by not only demonizing anyone who showed excitement for Sword and Shield but some also begged Trump to prevent the games from coming in the country.

-And then there’s Star Wars, take your pick: demonizing anyone who enjoyed favors the Prequel Trilogy, harassment of actors/actresses to the point where it lead to them leaving social media, considering suicide, developed schizophrenia or throw over the top tantrums to film directors that goes far beyond the line of criticism, etc.

The DCEU fandom is not a collection of innocent angels that is true, but guess what no fandom is.

You know what I love about the MCU fandom?

How they will mock people who put their money in the campaigns and advertising to see Zack Snyder’s director cut of Justice League (also it does exists based on statements made by people who worked on the damn movie), yet they find it totally ok to raise money for a billboard to get James Gunn rehired so he can direct Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 and begged people to buy more tickets of Avengers Endgame all for the sole objective of beating James Cameron’s Avatar at the box office.

Fuck you and your double standard hypocrisy
