So what are the chances of a Naomi/Yara Flor team up?
Greg Berlanti and the CW are breaking more ground in superhero representation with their latest DC series project. The network is developing Wonder Girl, a drama series based on the characters from DC created by Joëlle Jones.
It hails from Queen of the South executive producer/co-showrunner Dailyn Rodriguez and Berlanti Productions. Written by Rodriguez, Wonder Girl centers on Yara Flor, a Latina Dreamer who was born of an Amazonian Warrior and a Brazilian River God, learns that she is Wonder Girl, and with her newfound power must fight the evil forces that would seek to destroy the world.
This would mark the first Latina superhero title character of a DC TV series. Rodriguez, who is the daughter of Cuban immigrants, is executive producing with Berlanti Prods.’ Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and David Madden. Berlanti Productions produces in association with Warner Bros. Television.
At the CW, Wonder Girl will be looking to join Berlanti Prods’ existing DC Universe, which includes Batwoman, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, the upcoming Superman & Lois, Supergirl, which will be wrapping its run with the upcoming sixth season, and Black Lightning.
The Justice Society Of America
The news about Ruby Rose leaving sucks but her work with the character and genre will live on
She was the first actress ever to play Batwoman in live-action
She was the first LGBT actress to lead a superhero series
She was many fans’ first LGBT hero in a genre with very few characters like that
She was able to be the hero for many LGBT kids that she said she needed growing up
She made a big impact on the superhero genre and did stuff no one else has ever done and helped set a precedence for other LGBT led superhero media
Nothing can ever erase that
Gotta say, Crisis genuinely surprised me with DCEU flash showing up. Well done
So there are reviews for CW Batwoman out and so far they don’t have many nice things to say but even though I don’t have interest in it due to being Bat-centric, I’ll give it a chance so I can judge it for myself.
Because if I didn’t throw out my own views to match critics on stuff like Man of Steel, BvS, Suicide Squad, The Star Wars Prequel Trilogy, The Force Awakens, Power Rangers(2017), or any Sonic the Hedgehog game since 2007, I’m not gonna start now.
Unpopular Opinion
I like Black Lightning and I want to see it crossover with the other CW DC shows.
I don’t hate Laurel Lance
I don’t hate Felicity Smoak
I don’t hate Donna Smoak
I don’t hate Olicity
I don’t hate shippers/shipping of any kind
I don’t hate the writers of Arrow
I don’t hate Sara Lance
I don’t hate Oliver Queen
I don’t hate any of the actors/actresses
The only thing I “hate” (aside for Malcolm selling out Oliver to Darhk) is how toxic the Arrow community has grown over the years. And if Laurel is the one in the grave, I won’t stop watching Arrow, but I will stop following the fandom and new-related articles based on Arrow
