Eight years of BvS!
Happy birthday, Zack!
Snyderverse Superman:
- Saves a school bus full of his classmates (including kid currently bullying him) with no thought for what what happen to him
- Stands up to that trucker harassing a waitress (gets water dumped on him :/)
- Saves all those people from the oil rig fire
- Doesn’t hit that kid even though he wanted to
- Telling everyone to go inside when trying to fight the Kryptonians
- Turns himself over humankind
- Saves the little girl from the fire (no one else was going to help her) (in another country) (walks away from investigating Bruce/Batman to do this)
- There’s literally a whole sequence of him saving people in BvS??
- Investigating the “bat murders” when literally no one else cares because it’s only criminals dying
- Approaches Bruce ASKING FOR HELP AND FORGIVENESS
- BRUCE PLEASE I WAS WRONG
- YOUR FAVE COULD NEVER????
- DIES TO SAVE THE WORLD??? HE /LITERALLY/ DIES
- What more do y’all want from this man

Considering the news from hours ago, and other things that’s been going on…I’m gonna make this before I go to bed. I’m using parts of my tweet from here. https://twitter.com/Geekgem1/status/1600776657110913024?s=20&t=5HQl82Z_yqflH8fboKcHpQ
Thank you, Zack Snyder and Henry Cavill…for everything.
Thank you, Zack, for giving us the Snyderverse. And along with many who helped you out on them along the way. Man of Steel, Batman V Superman, Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Particularly these three, I’ll keep on cherishing them.
And thank you Henry Cavill for giving us the best Superman, or more so, my Superman. Thank you giving us your performance as the iconic character.
I won’t forget this universe. Even whatever new reboot comes. I’ll treasure it, always.
Every time I see people talk about how Superman is forbidden to express emotions outside of rigid smiles, it only adds more evidence why Martha Kent in BvS was completely right when she says he doesn't owe the world a god damn thing.
Happy sixth anniversary, BvS! Here’s to many more viewings and debates in the years to come!
So there's this Vox article whining how everything doesn't have enough colors for them. And to the surprise of no one this got people started (again) how every Comic book related media absolutely needs neon colored puke on screen at all times. The most frustrating part is when they suddenly come down with a collective case of amnesia when the last 5 years alone offered them many superhero films that do meet their shallow criteria:
Wonder Woman
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2
Spider-Man Homecoming
Thor Ragnarok
Josstice League
Black Panther
Avengers Infinity War
Aquaman
Ant-Man and the Wasp
Captain Marvel
Shazam!
Avengers Endgame
Birds of Prey
The Suicide Squad
Shang-Chi
Spider-Man No Way Home
But apparently it's never enough because whenever superhero films dare to exist outside the rainbow bubble such as Man of Steel, Eternals or Venom, they're immediately hit with the "there's no colors" complaint and everytime it happens, it's extremely exaggerated. They act like those films are in 100% grayscale, but the reality is the colors in those are more subtle and that will never be a bad thing.
But the thing that still baffles me is just why? Why does everything have to be the same? Why is it a criminal offense for superhero tv movies or shows to exist outside the realm of sunshine and lollipops? I can understand preferring lighter stuff and I do like films like Aquaman and Shazam, but what I will never agree with this the dumb rigid mindset that superhero media can't be anything more than that.
New video is up!
This time, I’m exploring the ways that the Amazon series “The Boys” references and pays homage to Zack Snyder’s DCEU!
This was a paper I had to write for a class, and I’ve adapted it into video essay form. Here is:
“Zack Snyder’s Auteurial Merging of Style and Substance”
For those who missed it, I finally posted my new video essay that I have spent the last few months working on! It’s about the women of Zack Snyder’s filmography and it was a massive passion project to work on! Check it out and like/comment on YouTube or share it to help boost it if you enjoy it! Thank you!

Exactly this. Same goes for MoS and BvS!
How can people say that DCEU Superman is not their Superman, when he literally saved the man(Lex Luthor) who tried to have his own mother killed?? That is as Superman as it gets.
It’s been a while but I’ve made a new DCEU video!
Here’s the back-story. I was on YouTube THIS YEAR (2020) minding my own business, clicked on a video that was not about the DCEU, Zack Snyder, etc. and out of nowhere, the creator made a snide comment about how “Henry Cavill’s Superman Doesn’t Smile” and I decided I had time to address that absurd, inaccurate claim. Enjoy! Also, if you can ‘like’ the video on the actual YouTube page, it would really help me out as a small creator. Thank you!
Despite I'm a fan of characters of some superheroes. Especially of Spider-Man, Batman, Superman. I like both DC and Marvel. I don't trust myself with a superhero property. Think I'll just finally say that in public.
Not tagging this by the way.
Think it's best I reblog this here.......honestly because this is something that's been on my mind.
I'll just admit.....fuck so I decided to not make and reblog this to my spooky blog. But I'll reblog it to my main blog first.
I really like Spider-Man. But I don't think I would trust myself to make an adaptation or even a AU of it I guess. Funny enough I'm listening to a playlist of the soundtrack from the 1977 Amazing Spider-Man tv series. The one Nicholas Hammond stars in.
But I wanna put this out there. A reason I won't touch Batman and Superman. Because these masterpieces were already made.
Always wanted to say these two masterpieces part. While I kept imagining it if I recall in a video. Decided I'll just say it now. Considering Zack Snyder is an inspiration to me.
