gorgug's initial anger at porter and then slow acceptance that his ways worked is SUCH a stellar example of the real gaslighting that students face from (bad) teachers, i'll never stop thinking about it. Especially with gorgug being a very smart kid who struggled with intelligence early in life, that feeling that you should be grateful for teachers trying to 'help' you by making your life so much harder and more stressful is something so real and I commend brennan for being able to show it so well.

i think this dead god married to cassandra was a like summer god of rebellion and rage
so i suspect this because we’ve been talking so much about how doubt and rage go hand in hand but also how rage isn’t inherently evil, that it can be useful and good if used constructively which makes me think of the usefulness of rage in rebellion. then porter says that fig needs to find what works for her, what she is dedicating herself to. and one option for her is a god, not necessarily cassandra, but another god that could speak to fig’s rebellious nature but also how much she loves and wants to support kristen’s doubt. which she can do with this god that burns hot and represents the summer and maybe rebellion and rage and is literally married to cassandra.

after the "youve gotta be fucking kidding me" when gorgug finds out that porter is a paladin multiclass advisor, i hope for gorgugs max stress he just snaps and goes off on porter and in so doing finally earn his respect to approve his mcat
i fully get this but that’s exactly what porter wants and is so unhealthy for gorgug! like, porter would approve of gorgug driving himself crazy with stress until it bursts out in his idea of what rage looks like. i feel like porter can’t recognise how gorgug uses his rage productively because porter has no conflict resolution skills

thinking about how only 2 years ago adaine couldn't speak at the dinner table or express an opinion or oppose her parents in anyway, how she was hated and ignored and her parents were unapproachable, and how now she can just come home and take a cup of tea right out of her dads hands and sip it without asking and he just chuckles at how adorable she is, i love you jawbone<3

- Not huge on borrowing clothes!!! Definitely not as much as everyone else
- However anything left up in her tower is hers until someone feels like climbing up all those stairs to retrieve it
- She will not just return it to them
- It’s the principle of the thing
- Also unlike the others she has a tendency to just treat it like it’s hers; things are hung up and cleaned and the fact that it belongs to someone else doesn’t factor into how much she wears it
- Has one of Gorgug’s jackets
- Like Fig, tens to use it for layering
- He took it off one night during a sleepover in the tower and just left it there when he left the next morning
- Never bothered to ask for it back
- Shirts and Jackets are the most often abandoned things

man I love the communal dice interactions in Dimension 20. Griffin asking whose been rolling good so he can use their d20 in Tiny Heist and Jasper desperately cycling through dice in Burrow's End and Murph retiring Emily's dice in Neverafter and the cast of Mentopolis swapping so they each have a full set made of each other's dice and "send your kids to camp" and the thrill of the box of doom. it's so good dude I love when people get so invested in the story they tell together that the roll of a die is the most important thing in the world.
Not to mention Siobhan dunking all of Lou's dice in a nearby glass of water to purify them of their bad vibes in Sophomore Year
