Okay so I didn't have getting turned on by angry Bobby Nash on my bingo card..

the thing is . . . if i was ga, watching without looking up interviews or anything, kinda like the way I watch the other shows, I would absolutely be expecting them to get back together, right? like just going by the story, it feels like they are getting back together because you ended the breakup like that, made character A spend the whole episode wanting to call and then showed character B typing and deleting a text. is it clowning or going by just how much the ga sees, we were never done in the first place? like the only damning thing about this breakup is what I can find in the interviews

i see your tommy was texting buck a fact he just learned and tommy was texting buck be safe posts and raise you tommy was texting buck after a call with shaking hands, in the locker room of the harbor with cold sweat running down his back and dark rings under his eyes, in a moment so pathetic and desperate and choked with the need to confess how he hasn't been getting any sleep for days and how the controls of the chopper feel just a bit more fragile in his hands than usual and how he thinks he might've almost killed himself and his copilot just now

how many other times did tommy try and text buck? how many times did he type up a message, agonizing over what to say, before deleting it all because what could he say that could change anything, that could fix anything? what could he say besides i love you

Like what’s even the point of a bucktommy break up where Buck sluts it up with men if you can’t even show them both in a dark gay bar back room getting head from other men while not being able to look away from each other

i am really really sorry i know buck is not me but watching them getting his phone like that when he keeps saying “im serious” and they are laughing is so skanksqkkw!

it’s so infantilizing and i’ve been there and ppl did that to me and it’s not a good feeling

buck is 33yo and to them he’s still a child!

every time buck thought about texting tommy, he baked something instead to stop himself from doing so. and this wasn’t just a one time thing in the episode. every time we saw buck, minus the emergencies, he was baking. he was baking at home (on two separate occasions) and he was even baking at the fire house. he could not stop thinking about tommy. he could not stop thinking about tommy. he could not stop thinking about tommy.

I’m sorry but if the color of magnet men on a refrigerator means Buddie Canon then I can think that maybe the fact that Buck’s entire fridge is filled with physical evidence of him wanting to call Tommy is proof that they’ll get back together

buck’s stress-baking desserts and tommy’s probably stress-eating desserts. they’re so match-made-in-heaven, so soulmates, so meant-for-each-other, so worth fighting to make the relationship work — it’s kind of insane.

i actually wouldn’t mind maddie’s slight awkwardness around buck’s sexuality if i thought it was deliberate/they were gonna do something interesting with it.

because family member who is supportive/accepting but doesn’t have the lived experience to really get it/be helpful is pretty relatable.

and that would be especially interesting to explore on a show that does have multiple queer characters! bc do you know who might be able to help him? How about his good friend of 8 years out-lesbian-with-a-wife-and-kids Henrietta Wilson!

Also, sorry, I’m hung up on this: didn’t Maddie and Chimney break up twice??? Once after the whole Doug thing because they didn’t think they were ready and then late decided they were (who does that sound like??) and then once after Jee was born where Maddie walked away and then Chimney went after her and they decided to break up and then got back together??

It’s just like, imagine if they hadn’t decided to fix things, even the first time? What if people told them to move on and not live in the past? And what if they had listened.

Also, Chimney called Karen and told her that Hen was dead because he knew they were both sad over their breakup! He didn’t tell them to jump back into the pond! He was friends with both Hen and Karen, and he’s friends with both Tommy and Buck! It would make sense for him to want them to work out!

This rant is all to say it feels very out of character for Madney, and I really just hope there’s a reason for it. That it’s being done to push Buck into deciding to make his own decisions.
