"aftg is badly written" did we read the same books? did the intrincate chess methaphors were too hidden for you to realized them? did the simplify version of the characters used in jokes made you forget how complex they are? were the awesome quotes too forgetable? have you ever thought about the interpersonal relationships between the characters? how well written they are that psychologist would have a field day with it? did the unconventional plot structure felt different? bc it is and thats probably one of reasons why the books are so amazing but thats a different post

Handed in my term paper yesterday (1 week before it was due, this is crazy) and am going on holiday for a couple days tomorrow until lectures start up again in like a week or so ㅠㅠ
Also I did a very scary phone call today, so I’ll be relaxing for the rest of the day and enjoying the nice weather :)

Ah don’t worry anon! Honestly, I think one of the nice parts about Korean studies is that there’s no clear cut path for you.
You could go in any direction you would like, some of my friends at uni want to become professors, others journalists or translators. I even know a guy who wants to become a football manager.
Of course korean studies is not your golden ticket to being a millionaire but I think the people who study it don’t want to become one anyway :) just listen to your heart, both when it concerns your studies and your career choices!

I’m gonna be real here for a minute, I know you mean well anon, but I’m really just any other student :’) I’ve got no clue at this point… If I wanted, I could have my bachelor’s degree once I’m barely even 21.. and that scares me lol
So atm I’m planning on being chill about which classes I take and am probably gonna study for 4-5 more semesters instead of 3; afterwards I’ve loosely planned to get my masters bc I don’t want to have to deal with the reality of having to work lmao
