After Alexander Calvert’s interview where he states Jack and Cas’ otherworldly, profound connection will transcend worlds, I can’t help but think about the way Dabb is taking so much past canon and making it more blatant (and specifically the romantic subtext of Dean/Cas).

I’m reminded of Amara feeling Dean’s longing for Cas through his heart then suddenly and so coincidentally finding Dean where she couldn’t before hand… how this happens again only when Dean hears the word “Angels” too.

Then of course how she immediately uses Cas as bait for Dean, showing him how bad he looks and telling him he’s in trouble, purposefully spurring Dean into action. Later then actually full on telling Dean he’s holding back from something, stopping himself from having it all.

And of course with everything else that keeps coming back up I’m definitely expecting the profound bond at some point…

Promo for Supernatural 13x03 - “Patience”

Just realized I am not going to be able to watch this live. This is a problem. Today is my anniversary, but my husband is working, and they wanted him to work tomorrow and through the weekend, but he was like “Dude. It’s my anniversary and my wife is leaving on Friday for four days.” so his boss was like, “no, dude, I’ll cover your shift for Thursday. Take your wife on a date.” Which, yay! But also, oh no! Ratings for this are SUPER. IMPORTANT. I’m just one person, yeah, but the bronlies are boycotting the episode to try and get it to fail and “teach Dabb a lesson”. I’d be ADDING to their numbers!!!!! THAT REALLY STRESSES ME OUT.

If you’re not a Nielsen member, you watching it doesn’t matter. You can always tweet about it (even during your date?) and watch it on the CW app or buy it afterwards. :)

This episode is going to kick ass! It looks like Sam is going to be pretty awesomely badass and his sweet glorious self regarding Jack and Dean’s story looks brilliant and full of character depth, I can’t WAIT!

His episodes are logical, well written, character focused and fit with the long standing subtextual storytelling of Sam and Dean's personalities that the antis refuse to acknowledge.

They have a (generally positive) character driven message that is important to the narrative rather than being a brainless motw ep that has a toxic message ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Plus, the Season 1 character is “one of the few people still around who can comment on what Sam and Dean were like versus what they are like [now]. The last time she saw Sam and Dean, Sam was just out of college, and Dean was struggling with being his own man, still kind of in his dad’s shadow. They are not those guys anymore.”

Dean & Missouri

X  (S1e9 “Home”)

While we’re waiting for s13 to start, I can’t help reminding myself of the last time we saw Missouri and the comment she made about Dean:

Dean does mean well, but sometimes (most times) he rams head first into situations like a bull in a china shop. Especially when he’s grieving or angry. He just sees red and starts swinging. So, I’m hoping that this time around, we get at least a nod towards that from Missouri again. As I’ve discussed with a few people, we probably won’t get a blatant expounding from either Missouri or Patience regarding the emotional flooding that is happening with Dean due to Cas’ death, BUT we might get a slight roundabout comment made. That may go hand in hand with the Tarot card reading (if it is regarding Dean and not Wayward Sisters/Daughters).

Yaaaas brain mate! It’s the perfect time for Missouri to appear because she sees right through him. She doesn’t buy Dean Sublimation Winchester and i can’t flail enough for this! Even if they choose to give more weight to the Wayward Sisters plotline, it’s already in the narrative the relationship between Dean and Missouri and I can’t wait to see how this turns out :)

I think I’ve read somewhere that Dean and Missouri are supposed to hug, too? While I have my problems with Missouri I sincerely hope that she makes a comment like she did with Sam when he lost Jess. This would be enough (for me, anyway, and probably the whole tumblr lot too. The casual viewer.. well, who knows)

As a HUGE ASS John mirror I think it's amazing timing to have Missouri back, not only due to the exposition as you say due to her psychic abilities of Dean's frame of mind but also as this John mirror because the season is going to be all about fathers and fatherhood, Dean has grown so much through his story with Mary and now John mirrors, if we can't have John himself back, should close this off.

I can't wait for Missouri hopefully to have some real John-esque moments and hopefully some kind of mini-closure, perhaps even words like "I'm proud of you" or "you grew up into a good guy" used.
