When Ransom says those words, a part of him wants to take them back. A part of him wants to say something else, something to cover up the meaning behind them. To go back to the jokes, to them covering everything with them just being bros.
But a greater, older part of him can't regret saying them. Can't regret the truth.
But when Holster's face crumples, Ransom can't stop the regret crawling down his back.
