Secularist society that takes the cigarettes approach to religion and it's totally legal but all religious texts require a big sticker thst says "THERE IS NO EVIDENCE FOR GOD" or whatever. And at the start of every sermon you have to give a disclaimer thst you're making it all up. Etc. Kinda based
this post's hypothetical by itself is already ridiculous but the thing that gets me is how the wording implies two very funny things that become funnier in tandem
1. "Accidentally, the pitcher tosses a Christian baby" means this is a mistake on the pitcher's part. i imagine the pitcher is breastfeeding on the field and they pitch and they look down at their hands and they see the ball still in the glove and they go "fuck"
2. hitting the baby will still win you the game
Someone posted something about this to Pinterest and all the comments are women going “no that’s not what love languages were made for it’s supposed to tell you how your partner shows love even if it isn’t the same as you!” And only one person on there was saying “this was the original purpose and they reprinted the book with different text because the first one was so blatantly misogynistic propaganda”
Surprised there aren’t more husbands twisting the love language discourse to ‘acts of service is how I like to receive love’ (be my house servant) but I prefer to show love physically (rejecting me sexually is showing me you don’t love me)’
“The cave in the mountains above Sambata monastery where the Romanian elder, Fr. Arsenie Boca, would retreat for fasting and prayer in solitude.”
I honestly believe that growing up in a monotheistic culture with one male god does immense psychological damage to all women
people will say it's white feminism to put women's liberation over cultural values but when they dismiss patriarchy in racialized communities because of ~cultural relativism~ they're saying they don't believe women in those communities deserve equal protections and instead should be sacrificed at the altar of culture/religion. THAT'S white feminism
I want to lock these men in hot metal containers with a bunch of starving rats.
For context, I'm pretty sure (please correct if I'm wrong/mistaken) but the clip is from a segment where a interviewer asked the 19 year about being married to his wife and I think he was also asking about another wife he had? Anyways, interviewer was asking him about why he didnt see the issue with marrying a literal child and if I recall he pretty much just said the same as the twitter op 😐
‼️‼️
people say "oh its my culture/religion" and pull up with the most misogynistic shit ever. like its important to be critical of everything :/
im tired of christian beliefs being treated as not insane
obviously dietary requirements aren't a joke but my grandma sometimes runs errands for her church and i asked her what she's up to today and she said extremely seriously "ive got to track down the body of the gluten free christ, julia"
this totally scans for a swear intensifier btw. what in the gluten free christ is going on here, Julia
one thing that i think mainstream feminism does not address nearly enough is the impact of patriarchal religion. in the US, for example, many girls grow up being EXPLICITLY TAUGHT that women were created to be subservient to men and that their destiny in life is to be submissive to their husband as if he were god. this is not a rare experience.

Happy pride month! 🏳️🌈

the thing about joan of arc is god isnt real and he wasnt speaking to her and she was just a girl and she was so brave and they burned her.
no more takes on Joan of Arc from fucking MCR fanblogs
would it make u feel better if she died as a part of some divine plan instead of being senselessly murdered by an evil & woman-hating church? it made her feel better to think that too.
It makes me so mad that everyone automatically assumes that women should just hand over their resources and spaces as if it's no big deal. "what are trans women supposed to do, they are not safe in the men's changing room", well and women are not safe when anyone who claims to be a woman can enter their changing rooms? Why do you think women should simply smile and nod and sacrifice their needs? I know this isn't some new insight I just had this discussion with someone and it was so baffling how little he even thought of it as a conflict of interests, obviously the needs of trans women trump everything else.
Regardless of gender identity, the female people are seen as the servant class. We create space for ourselves? Surely it’s just to practice so we can make it bigger and let everyone in eventually. Taking care of ourselves? Of course, you need to take care of yourself to be able to care for others!
Our safety, comfort and wants are never seen as anything but a step towards something more relevant. If we stop at our well-being and enjoyment, the fabric of the patriarchy starts to break. Remember our place. Never be selfish. The male god whipped us up as an afterthought to serve his greatest creation.
