Since you have come to the brilliance that is having Tim Drake and Gambit meet may I present you with an actual comic where dc and Marvel did a crossover and Gambit and Wolverine stole the batmobile?

Oh my god. It’s perfect. If it was someone like the Avengers that showed up in your universe, they would probably be like, “huh, this is weird, let’s team up until we can figure it out.” But the X-Men? They steal your fucking car.
I imagine Bruce isn’t anti-mutant, but he is very much anti-two-mutants-in-particular. I wonder who those two individuals could be…
You know, I’m not entirely sure how the X-Men as a whole fit into my crossover fun. If everyone from the DC and Marvel continuity exists all at once, there would probably be a lot of changes, like what teams certain characters end up on. I see mutants still existing and Professor X forming the X-Men, but I wonder who the roster would be in a DC/Marvel universe? Which DC characters are considered mutants and could be scoped out by Xavier? There could be so much fun with this. I wanna hear ideas.

more ideas for this crossover: i think if kon el and rogue met they would instantly become besties. they have some similar powers and can bond over weird parent problems. while gambit and tim are off doing sneaky things rogue and kon go see a movie and then get frozen yogurt
also: gambit and catwoman meet and they have a competition to see who is the better thief

I think that Kon and Rogue would definitely have a deep level of understanding. I can actually see them listening to similar music. Kon canonically listens to Liz Phair, which I see being totally up Rogue’s alley. I don’t actually know if Rogue has a canon music taste or not, so if anyone has information on that, I’d like to know.
Ah, Gambit vs. Catwoman… these two have definitely known each other since before Tim met Gambit. Gambit’s odd jobs have been getting in the way of Selena’s thieving for years, and of course Selena has returned the favor. It has been a rivalry happening for years, though I can see Tim having to unite them under special circumstances (much to their dismay);
But, you know… they work well together. If you’re familiar with 90s Tim, then you know Selena grows a soft spot for him. And I see Gambit garnering a same kind of affection for the Timboi (older bro Gambit, hm…). Selena and Gambit might be rivals, but a thief’s instinct to protect birdbois must be a hive mind thing, because they eventually come to an understanding. Maybe even to the point of respect, or… who knows… Momma Cat Selena with her older son kitty that sometimes pisses her off. But she still will protect, nonetheless.
(I find answering asks out of order very discomforting, but I’ve been thinking about this for a while… I like DC/X-Men a lot.)
This is how I imagine Tim and Remy first officially meeting. I think they would have a very interesting partnership.

This is very perfect. My two scrungos use bang/bō, and I get to join them one day if I keep training. I’m very excited to be a bō boi as well.
I want to draw a little comic with these two. Tim learned bōjutsu through Lady Shiva, while Gambit learns through the Guild of Thieves. In a shared universe, it’s not totally impossible to say that Lady Shiva gave the Thieves Guild bōjutsu training (I can see the Assassins Guild disgracing the League of Assassins, which leaves Lady Shiva to seek out the Thieves Guild to deal with them). Imagine Tim’s surprise when he recognizes some of Gambit’s moves.
As for Donatello, I unfortunately don’t know anything about TMNT, other than the orange one is Michelangelo (I learned that from The Lego Movie… hey, why do all of my recent posts mention Legos?). But look, Tim and Gambit rescued a turtle off of the side of the road, and both agreed to name it Donatello (yes, after the TMNT himself; Tim has actually met him, because that one Batman comic is mainline canon in my heart. “This is where I watched my parents die, Rafael.” “Cowabummer.”).
This would be an interesting friendship.
