The only conceivably straight character in the main cast is Pete and even then he's such a himbo it's genuinely hard to say. But Pete being a transman? Perfect. He talks a lot about how rough high-school was for him, it would be so good tbh?

Bering and Wells? Already gay af, not even canon. Jinks? Gay man not played as a joke or a stereotype in what, 2010? Artie? Still being obsessed with his old partner after being betrayed over 20 years ago? Claudia? *CLAUDIA.*

Like, the show is perfect, but imagine how much *more* perfect it could have been?

The short version is that I got sick in March and I'm finally coming out the other side of it. Keep reading for the full story.

So it's been two years since my diagnosis, and about 18 months since my chemotherapy ended. Here's where I am~

My most recent scans (my 2-year scans) and blood work were negative for cancer. I'm officially in remission, and only have to have annual CT scans to follow up.

There have been some lasting effects: I have neuropathy in my feet (and in my hands when it gets super bad), I tire easily, and some days my concentration goes to shit. But overall, I'm back to my old self.

I wish I could say I'm ready to jump back into fandom content, but I've spent so long away from it that it's really hard to get motivated to work on it. I still have WIPs I wanna finish, and my drawings have only gotten better over the past two years, but I can't honestly give a timeframe on when I'll feel the urge to do any of that stuff again. It could be tomorrow, or I could never write again. Who knows. (/dramatic) And it doesn't help that my most influential fandom has officially ended.

The WIPs I wanna work on are all Arrowverse fandom, so maybe if I get my hands on a series to rewatch, I'll feel the inspiration flow again. (I gave up Netflix when they announced the ban on account sharing.) I don't even know where Arrow is hosted anymore, and that'd be the one I start with again.

Anywho, that's an update on me and mine. I'm still around, still kickin, and cancer-free, officially. I'll get back into the swing of things eventually, I just have to work up the gumption to get started. I really look forward to seeing that day. I miss creating things.

I'm back on my bullshit. Photo references used, but none of these took longer than an hour to do. Trying to practice using slightly more stylized approaches to these so I don't stress over exact faces. I'd like to start making some attempt to move to more freehand or combined-reference works.

The Winn is my favorite of the three, hands down, but I do like the Jimmy a lot, too.
