Do you have a bit of change to spare?

Three of my students need help purchasing fabric for their projects for our community sewing program. The place I usually get my material has t-shirt fabric for $4/meter. Two meters can make a long sleeved shirt, or a camisole and short set, or a dress.

Any little bit helps, and so does reblogging this to share around.

New year, new sewing classes!

As some of you may know, last year I started teaching a sewing class at a local community centre. It has been an amazing experience for me. And it's been a great way for people in the community with low- or no-income to learn.

However, over the past year, our stash of donated fabric has started to dwindle, and our thread is down to like one spool of mustard yellow basting thread from the 80s. Which is why I do this little outreach every new term.

With the support of viewers like you*, I've been able to purchase fabrics for my students who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford it. And because of that, they were able to make garments that they would be proud to show off.

I'm hoping to collect at least $100, to have 10 for each student. If I reach that goal, I'll post one of the detailed tutorials for one of the group projects we work on!

You can support the class through my ko-fi

and I also have a wishlist of general supplies(Thread. Thread.) that you can check out as well.

https://www.amazon.ca/hz/wishlist/ls/L5ABEUG4P5PX?ref_=wl_share

As always, if you aren't able to contribute, reblogging so this gets a wider reach is a huge help.

I'm looking forward to sharing their projects with you!

*I'm sorry, I had to...

Okay, it looks like tumblr is refusing to do redirects to the wishlist, so I've removed the hyperlink. If you want to see the wishlist, highlight and right click the amazon link, then open in new tab. Sorry for the extra step!

Making something by hand this holiday season?

Why not include a snark filled sticker or tag, playing on Hand Made With Love tags?

With 24 different heart-shaped tags saying things like 'Ha HA! It's non-refundable sucker!', 'Hand made with yarn, probably', 'So... What'd you get me?' and lots more, you can put a little more sarcasm out in the world.

And they're only a buck for the digital download! Wow! Savings!

Emergency Commissions

Okay, so you know how I said the other day that my phone screen shattered?

WELL!

While trying to replace the screen, it blew up in my face.

I mean literally. I guess I punctured the battery case while removing it because it sparked. Then it smoked. Then it exploded in a fireball of broken glass and molten plastic.

I got away with just some burns to my hand, chest, and shoulder, but obviously my phone didn't survive the ordeal.

Which means I need to open up commissions to cover the cost of a replacement.

Starting at $15.00 for 1,500 words, for written fic, OR for social media au work.

Fandoms:

  • Batman/Batfamily (And most related ships, ex- BruHarvey, Timbern, Superbat, etc)
  • Flashfam/Coldflash
  • Venom/Symbrock
  • Helluva/Hazbin/Fizzarozzie/Stolitz/Huskerdust
  • Basically if you've seen me write for it before, I'll be happy to write for it again! If you don't see a fandom or ship in the tags that likely just means I forgot about it. Reach out to see.

If you'd rather just drop me a tip, that would also be greatly appreciated! I need about 300 dollars to get a refurbished replacement.

The leaves are falling, the pumpkins are getting carved, and ghouls and goblins are putting final touches on their costumes. Which means it's time for yet another of....

Tiger's Annual Trick-or-Treat Fic Fest!!

On this most special and magical time of year, your humble host rolls out the carpet to their ask box, welcoming eager trick-or-treaters who come a tap tap tapping in the hopes of getting a little ficlet dropped in their goodie bag. If this is your first year in the neighbourhood and haven't come to my door before, let's have a breakdown of how it works

Starting now and going until Halloween, you can drop a pairing or a character in my inbox and ask for a Trick, or a Treat. Now a Treat, will get you a smutty, sexy, steamy bit of writing. While a Trick will get you something from the mixed bag. It might be silly. It might be fluffy. It might be spooky. It might be all three. But it will be rated Teen or below. You may also include a one-word prompt to get my creative juices flowing. An example would be: [Pairing], Trick, Nesting

There are of course, a few simple, easy to follow rules.

  • You must be following me, as such my ask box has anon turned off for the time being.
  • Because these are going to be short, please no scenario prompts. We'll save those for another day. Halloween is for surprises!
  • That said, I understand there are a lot of fandom allergies out there. If you have a squick you would like me to avoid, please feel free to let me know before hand.
  • You must reblog your gift. There is no exception. After years past where people came trick-or-treating and did nothing other than like the post, I got very disheartened and almost stopped doing this event. So now, trick or treaters who don’t pass their gift along to let others read will be blacklisted from all future events. Reblogging to a side blog is more than welcome, just please tag the url you made your request with.
  • If you don’t see a character or pairing tagged, and you know I’ve written for them before, odds are very good they simply slipped my mind. Feel free to ask!
  • Ficlets will be about 500 words, and posted throughout the day on the 31st, both here and on AO3

Looking forward to a fun fandom filled Halloween. My inbox is now open!
