In collaboration with 克劳德蒂法 (Chinese Cloti community), First Love will be participating in "七夕 Valentine's Day 24hr" !

The event will run on August 10th from 00:00 - 24:00 CST, and involves participants sharing one post per hour that celebrates Cloti.

七夕 (lit. 'Seventh Night [of the seventh month]'), known as Qixi Festival, is a Chinese festival celebrating the annual meeting of Zhinü (織女 symbolized by the star Vega) and Niulang (牛郎, symbolized by the star Altair) in Chinese mythology. The date on which the festival is held is based on the Chinese lunisolar calender.

The origin of the Qixi Festival is the tale of romance between Zhinü and Niulang, known as The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl. Although they deeply loved each other, their romance was forbidden. This lead to their banishment to opposite sides of the heavenly river, which is represented by the Milky Way. Each year, on the seventh day of the seventh month, a flock of magpies creates a bridge to reunite the lovers for a single day.

I would like to apologise for First Love's long and unannounced hiatus. Due to some unforseen personal circumstances, posting and updating regularly unfortunately wasn't possible.

In addition to this, the original blog (@870503) has been terminated without notice by Tumblr. A request has been submitted to support in hopes of restoring the blog, but for now (and if restoration is not possible), future posts will be uploaded to this new blog, @firstlovetifa.

🍂 Our theme for this year is heavily inspired by Japan’s Star Festival, Tanabata. The stars will always lead Cloud and Tifa to reunite under that same night sky.
