On October 30th was the 50th anniversary of the most powerful nuclear weapon ever detonated, Tsar Bomba. The test took place on October 30th, 1961 in the Novaya Zemlya archipelago. The explosion annihilated everything in a 35km radius, and even 900km from its epicentre windows crashed and the heat could be felt. The bombs shock wave got around the Earth three times before it ceased. First picture: comparison of nuclear tests.
