it started as just biting down on them as a stim, then nibbling on them, then pulling the skin off with his teeth. the sensations it provided felt familiar in a time when he had just quit his life cold turkey.
eventually he would find himself waking up from antler prodded nightmares with his lips battered, swollen, and raw. the worst dreams left him bloodied, having bitten so hard the flesh tore open. he'd lick his lips and savor the twinges of pain and the taste of home. he'd reprimand himself for the flickers of excitement he felt. the warm hug of comfort and the cold suffocation of shame fight one another. neither win, they never do.
he finally made himself stop once he met molly and she politely suggested that he should make the effort to quit such a painful habit. he stops not due to her care, but because he feared continuing would make her think harder about who would develop such a habit.
as much as molly felt safe, he wasn't sure if she would ever feel familiar in the way that a busted lip does.

ive been wanting to write a fic about hannibal killing will the way mads mikkelsen thinks he would do it (drugging him into his sleep for a nice comfortable death) but that would be too sad. but some of you like that ……
post fall hannigram but will has an immune system of steel and hannibal falls ill at the softest cold autumn breeze. will accidentally drinks expired milk and bathes in cold river water to fish during the winter and is as good as brand new. hannibal gets a cold in october. will tries to care for him and get him the treatment and energy he needs but hannibal is so embarrassed he just sleeps all day long and doesnt answer when will asks him if he wants another paracetamol
i had a fever yesterday all day long bc i caught a cold. i couldn’t even make the way from my room to the med cabinet in my kitchen without moaning in agony. how did will graham go to work everyday. like either hannibal scheduled his fevers to be less painful during his work hours so everybody could think oh hes just being weird again or will was purely dissociating and on 7 different drugs. if you had told me yesterday to clean one plate i would have killed you

thinking about how for all of his life Will has been the odd one, wrongly placed … he tried to be a father figure for abigail, he was wally’s stepdad, the husband to widowed molly, a quick fuck for margot to get an heritage, a special agent because he was too unstable to actually be certified, a professional curiosity to alana … and then he met hannibal and he fit just right. he was the missing piece hannibal had wishing for his entire life. he wasn’t there to fill places because someone had to anymore. he was actually needed and that by life or death
need will graham s1 to get invited to one of hannibal’s dinner parties but he’s deadly bored and feeling awkward so he gets drunk….has at least five drinks….sneaks into hannibal’s wine cellar to get something stronger….and everyone sees how drunk he is. he’s cracking jokes laughing too loud holding himself up with the walls walking weird. fiddling with the magnificent food. and everyone is embarrassed because he does not have any social politeness and he’s so rude and making a scene but hannibal does not care. it’s his dinner party but he links arms with will and helps him upstairs. gets him a glass of water and something to eat. lets him lay somewhere for a few minutes then helps him back downstairs and drives him back to his home. the ride is an hour long and hannibal has at least 20 invitees to care for in his own house but will needs help and will is his friend. there he lets will undress himself and tucks him into bed. the next day will doesn’t remember shit but he has a throbbing headache and wakes up to a text from hannibal asking if he’s well

will graham starving for blood on his lips so he sneaks into molly’s makeup grabs one of her unused lipsticks and puts it on his own mouth. its not enough so he bites down onto it and chews. it has the same texture as flesh

We are not appreciating enough the simplicity and genuineness of this dialogue. Who has made Will feel like he is not good company? His reason for not staying is not "I'm busy" or "I'm not into this kind of things", he says he is not good company. His response is very empathetic if you think about it because he is thinking about how he is perceived by Hannibal and the others.
We couldn't see the whole conversation unfortunately but Hannibal's question implies that he is asking Will to stay for a second time. He had probably asked him earlier, Will had refused without giving a reason but later he brings the bottle of wine to make up for not staying and Hannibal insists that he should stay. And for someone who doesn't have friends and is not invited to stuff, I think it meant the world to Will that Hannibal really meant it. Hannibal really wanted him there. And Hannibal disagrees with him but not out of politeness, he is super genuine. To him, Will is good company. Anyway I will go cry now.
will strapping hannibal to a chair dressing him in a white shirt white pants and forcing him to eat the spiciest louisiana chicken with the most spicy sauce will can think of
