Talk about Aleppo. Cry for them like you cried for Paris. Cry for them like you cried for New York. Talk about them. Our silence is killing them. They are people, PEOPLE. Are they not important because they’re arabs? because they’re Syrian? Do their lives matter less than the life of a French or an American? People from Aleppo are posting their goodbye messages on the internet as a final massacre is expected to happen any time soon and we are SILENT. We have been silent for over five years. Some children in Aleppo don’t know life without war. Imagine living in a city of ruins and having to fear for your life every instant. Hospitals, churches, houses, restaurants are bombed on the daily and hundreds are killed every single day. Yet we are silent. Remember them. Honor them. We’ve allowed a mass genocide to happen before our eyes for years. It’s burning is a testament of our moral failure. Talk about Aleppo, please.
I hate that I keep looking to David Frum as a source of sanity and respectability in these dark times.
We need to remember what’s important in life: friends, waffles, work. Or waffles, friends, work. Doesn’t matter, but work is third.
Trump supporters: We need Trump to stop political correctness and protect freedom of speech. This is America. I’m tired of the pc police.
Also Trump supporters: How dare they use their freedom of speech to boo Pence at Hamilton. They can’t just say whatever they feel like. This is America. Show some respect.

Think what you will about Hillary Clinton ...
But as someone who enthusiastically supported Bernie Sanders in the primary and then immediately switched my support to Clinton once she was named the Democratic nominee, I’d like to say someone thing to every woman in America:
I do not agree with Hillary Clinton on every issue. When she is elected, I will criticize her if and when I believe she’s making poor choices.
However I will never ever fail to recognize that she is doing all women an immense service by walking through a line of angry, patriarchal men (metaphorically speaking) who are slinging shit at her every chance they get. It’s a disgusting image, I know, but it’s appropriate because these men are behaving in a disgusting manner. Donald Trump is the most disgusting of them all. She is taking that shit for me. For you. For all women. She stands tall and holds her head high as the misogynistic man-babies do everything they can think of to bring her down with no success.
Instead of sinking to their level, she shows up — calm, cool and collected and armed with facts. She’s always prepared and has firm grasp of all of the issues. She doesn’t allow them to shake her. Ever.
While there’s no doubt she really really wants to be the first woman president of the United States, her ability to hold her head high while the fearful man-babies try to tear her down is a clear example of why I will always be grateful for her sacrifices as a woman. I can only imagine the sexism she’s had to endure from powerful men all over the globe. How many times has she chosen to be silent when all she wanted to do was scream “FUCK YOU, ASSHOLE!!!”? How many times has she taken one for the team (of women) because she recognized that an angry tirade or outburst would only earn her the dismissive label of “ hysterical woman"? How many petty, fearful men has she had to put up with to get to where she stands at this moment in history? I have no idea what that number is but it’s a sure bet the number is quite high.
I don’t have to agree with Hillary Clinton on every issue to recognize what she is doing for women and girls in America and around the world. I’ll forever be in debt to her for her grace under constant fire, her unrelenting fight for women’s & children’s rights and her unique ability handle the endless shit thrown at her from cowardly men who are frightened of a powerful woman sitting in the Oval Office.
I’m not voting for Hillary Clinton because she’s the lesser of two evils — she’s not evil. I am voting for Hillary Clinton because she has earned it and she deserves the chance to run the country. More importantly, she fully understands — better than anyone — that her presidency will set the bar for the next woman who will follow in her footsteps. Clinton is making that difficult journey easier to navigate. That’s why #ImWithHer.
