I was listening to this episode of Note to Self podcast and the host was interviewing the creators of the show Black Mirror. They were talking about all the predictions on the show that are coming true and mentioned the Black Mirror episode: “Be Right Back” the one where the woman brings her dead husband back in AI form using his social media profiles. The Note to Self host mentions an episode that they did about a woman with cancer who is doing essentially the same thing, tho much less advanced. The whole thing made me think of this old episode of This American Life from 2010 about a woman who knew she was dying of cancer and did the same thing in 1991 with letters to be given to her daughter every year of her life from the time she was 16.
